I love how much KRPKAB's every episode circles around the concept of love regardless of track. One of the things I believe in is that it is not usually love that is cause of tension but the emotions that carry on around love. Love makes a human vulnerable and unleashes insecurities, flaws and a whole tide of emotions like possessiveness, jealousy, anger and bitterness.

Dev and Sona are still tied to there love but they have been living in there most ugliest forms since past seven years. Sonakshi's life has colors but not enough to make her smile without finding a reason through someone else' smile. She lost a lot of herself and when she rose back up to build herself, her bitterness from her past and regret at marrying Dev doesn't allow her to be at peace.

Dev no longer depends on the two women he so heavily relied on for his happiness but then he can not seem to find his happiness in anything else either which irks him to the core because despite wanting to move on, Dev's refusal to reflect on his past without blaming anyone doesn't allow him to make himself vulnerable again to the extent he had earlier allowed himself to be. His past keeps him from stepping two more forward then where he already is.

I think the show focuses mostly on Dev's journey and how his life impacts the others included in his life. I loved the useless banter Dev tried to provoke out of Sonakshi today. His own anger and frustration doesn't allow him to see the woman he himself knows so well. His clouded thoughts even after seven years can't allow him to see through the fact that the aspect of Sonakshi that made him admire her has allowed her to stand on her own self today rather then requiring a partnership which he still yearns for.

I loved how the epsiode ended today. If season one explored the naivety and possessiveness of love amongst Dev and Sona, amongst there families then this season is exploring the bitterness, the anger, the resentment and regrets circling around love. How all of these effect the equation one shares with the other. > Sonakshi calling out Dev on his faltering ego at not being able to see that Sonakshi never really needed his help in standing up should clear up enough to Dev that the power to validate Sonakshi's choices was handed to him by Sonakshi which he no longer has. Despite losing her once, he took her presence for granted.

Sonakshi isn't the enemy. Sonakshi is the woman who wouldn't rely on Dev for his duties towards her and he can't understand how can this woman who is still such an integral part of his life, not ask for anything from him. His mother still asks for his responsibilities. His family still needs his money and name. His sisters probably got married through his contacts with wealthy families. But Sonakshi refuses to take anything.

Dev's love stems from the fact that Sonakshi never really needed anything from him besides companionship. His anger stems from the fact that Sonakshi doesn't retaliate and owns his place in her life by his rejection.

I am eager to see how Dev would use Soha's presence to validate his insecurity of not being valid enough for Sonakshi. It'll be interesting which emotions around his love and need for Sonakshi would make him push her further.

P.S. I do not approve of abuse used to justify abuse. Dev is a layered character. Not a charming one.

I agree with you. Dev's anger stems from the fact that he can't see Sonakshi being so strong when he is broken inside.

The reason for Dev's frustration is because Sonakshi wasn't giving him any importance. If she had, he won't be so frustrated.

In fact he wants Sonakshi to come to him for help so that he can get back in her life as a benevolent Santa Clause with sack full of Christmas presents. But that's not happening and he is doing anything he possibly can to get her attention including ridiculing her success and pretty much wishing her failure by mocking her company.

At some point of time he appreciated Sonakshi's strength. Her ability to overcome whatever life throws at her. He actually relied on that strength when he didn't want to stand up for her against his mother. Because that absolved him of having to do what he was not capable of doing at that time.

If Sonakshi was a clingy, whiny and complaining woman like women in his family, he won't have lasted even a month with her, let alone three months.

But Dev's emotional rollercoaster is not Sonakshi's problem anymore. She just wants to do her job and live her life. What psychological paradox going inside Dev's head is his problem now. If he tries to bother Sonakshi with his problem now, he is going to get slammed.

Sorry, if he has problem with heat, he should stay out of the kitchen.

I kind of understood Dev yesterday. I think what bothered him abt the name was not Sonakshi building herself without his help. But it's the fact that now Sonakshi is no more his wife. Let me explain I have a brother very bad in expressing, like if he is hungry hell do each n everything taunts us, call us names but will not tell us he is hungry. It's us we realise with his behaviour that he might be hungry n give him food , he eats it n back to his self. He will react same way if he is hurt, angry. So I think it was dev way of saying that Sonakshi belongs to him . No ego, no money nothing his entice post leap is to let Sonakshi know he still wants her and misses her.
We understood our brother and have no problems with him . We know he loves us but seeing Dev I have a feeling his wife is gonna have a tough time understanding his feelings.

There is no one to understand Dev now. He never thought for himself and now that he has to, he refuses to think out of the box that makes him see himself tainted. He can't allow himself to live with that burden and Sonakshi was that critic in his life whom he appreciated so much.

It's so interesting how Dev and Sonakshi fell in love with each others qualities and then those same qualities pushed them to a point where they used it as there shield to break away from each other. Sonakshi believed in the worst of Dev as she had borne the burnt of that side of him after break up and when they initially met. Dev believed in her decision when she walked away because he had seen her being strong and making decisions that don' waste time example not declaring her feelings to him, moving on with Rithwick and not fighting for him after he tried to justify his priority of his mom.

There flaws are there weakness and strength and they both realize that but they refuse to see the context of there actions.

Dev's confusion doesn't make his wife his' therapist. There is no reason why your brother's or Dev's behavior is justifiable. I am so proud of Sonakshi being such a strong headed character to upholds her own honor before the honor and feelings of a man in her life.

Fantastic Analysis

At this point Dev and Sona's love is hidden deep beneath all they cynic talks their frustration and anger and yes it will take a long time before they actually vent out every emotion that has been bottled up for seven years
