everything absolutely everything comes down to ishwari and her insane possessiveness that has destroyed not only the lives of dev and sona but also is now destroying the ego and financial power of dev...wen ishwari for the first time told dev to gv vicky a job in his office sona suggested him to start vicky from a trainee so that experience will make vicky climb the corporate ladder gradually...dev even listened to her and did the same...but ishwari she cudnt let her son listen to someone else other than her and immediately told no ordered her son to put vicky in higher position and then he was made manager of a project...today vicky is CEO and 49 percent shareholder...dev's business sense will never allow a brainless useless guy in such high position...CEO i cant believe...but i guess it is only as reply to ishwari he did this...

now ishwari is so conveniently saying dev to give up his office...leopard never change its spots and ishwari is a gud example of that...she is so insecure that even wen dev is repeatedly saying he is not affected by sona's presence even if 7 long years hv passed she still cannot bear the thot of sona anywhere near her son...previously she used to use underhand strategy to separate them now she is point blank telling dev to gv up his office...gv up what??? the office which dev has built from scratch...sona ko to phir bhi readymade office mil gaya...but it was dev's own labor and sacrifices all his life that this office is where it is today...there was a time ishwari fraudulently made dev sign prenup paper only so that sona gets not one rupee of this company and today she is telling dev to gv up his office so that sona can buy it off...for entire life ishwari has stolen his dreams, his laughter, his happiness, his love, his desires...and now she wants to take away the only fruit that he is proud of the only fruit that is the result of his lifelong labor...

i wish dev wud reply back to her that all this has hapnd only because of her...it was her idea to put vicky in a high position...it was her competitive feeling toward sona that its repercussions r now being faced by dev...ishwari doesnt even care how much face loss dev has to endure now that sona will roam about in his office...ishwari's evilness knows no bounds...7 years back she used to think if sona is removed from his life then dev will remain as her son only...in these 7 years she can see that she has failed miserably...sona is no more in his life but still dev is not the one who used to worship her...but today she is still using same strategy to keep sona away from dev at the cost of gving up his own hard earned office...this time dev needs to show her that her insecurities hv as much value to him as vicky has value to him...

Here his dreams were crushed, he was pulled back every time he wanted to soar, he is still not allowed to live his life...

All because instead of being the wind beneath his wings she wants to be the rope which ties him down

What will really open her eyes?

Dev has seen his mom's real face... or hasn't he...?

If yes, then he should give her back with a sharp and witty answers to his mom's manipulative questions and they are accusing too...

If no, then he is just angry with his mom... so he will not be rude to her... He is and will be just indifferent with her, don't know for how long... but at present, in his state of mind, he is not bothered to care about anyone.

I think dev is telling her in action that he no longer cares for her. By refusing her food, not letting her clean his room or his clothes. These were the things that made her feel indispensable in his life. Not anymore. He's already told her the old dev will not be back but she is refusing to understand. Also she keeps blaming sona for devs state today.

Unless she introspects & accepts that she was mostly responsible for their breakup which in turn broke her relation with her raja beta only then will things with dev might get better. Can't say because dev is so bitter towards her that I don't what will heal this relationship.

Ishwari always bragged about one thing over and over - her motherhood. She kept glorifying her own mothering by showing Dev's success as an example. But the truth is that she wasn't a good mother to any of her children. She took away Neha's rights of education and gave them to Dev and took Dev's right to have a choice in exchange. She filtered every single thought and every single relationship in Dev's life so he only saw what she showed, felt what she felt, did what she told him to do.

That's why Dev could not even bond with his sisters beyond providing them money because he only knew one relationship - his mother.

Neha became Riya and Nikki's mother and she was a better mother than Ishwari was two either to her and Dev. Riya and Nikki could tell Neha anything, hug, share their feelings honestly and just be each other's support even though they owed Neha more than Dev owed Ishwari. Because she was their sister doing what their mother should have been doing.

Ishwari could have been a better mother when she came out of the poverty by paying more attention to her daughters. After all Dev had help around the house so he really didn't need her to run around him anymore. But Ishwari continued to focus on Dev and neglect her daughters. Maintaining her control over Dev was more important than building relationship with her daughters. It's her one claim to fame.

But control is not love and it's definitely is not comforting. So one day she crossed her limits. The result is visible. But she didn't learn her lessons even today. She is still trying to regain her control over Dev. But some people are like that. No matter how many mirrors you put in front of them, they'd rather close their eyes than face the reality. And the reality is she is a failure - as a mother, as a mother-in-law and as a human being.

in one of my replies on earlier thread i commented about the relationship that Dev and Ishwari shared. i expand it more here

have you seen a lion in a circus. Lion is mighty in itself, but the ring master is able to control him, cage him and make him act according to his desires . At one point the lion is so attached to the master that it forgets its might.finally a day comes, when the lion is out of these shackles and it can even resort to hurting the ring master. of course we are talking of the beast, hence the physical harm.

with Dev, Ishwari was the ring master, she controlled him by manipulating him on the emotional front. today Dev is successful in keeping ishwari at bay on the emotional level. she is still the same, but dev is changed, so her powers do not work on him anymore.
