Doubt regarding Dev and Sonakshi's divorce

I have a doubt regarding Dev and Sonakshi's divorce. In the last episode before the leap, Sonakshi signs just one document and gives it to Dev. My guess is that is the prenup papers and not the divorce papers. Even Sonakshi's dialogue after signing kind of indicates that.
In the end she just trows the mangalsutra in the fire and says "we are over".

But none of these acts prove that they are legally divorced. They are separated for sure though. But are they legally divorced. If they are not legally divorced, then the prenup has no value as of now.

I think this is what the spoiler about Ishwari coming to know of Soha means. Ishwari will first come to know about Soha and confront Sonakshi. For which Sonakshi will reply that according to prenup, Soha is all hers and Dev has no claim. She will probably also say that Dev was never interested in her children. That is when Ishwari will get some sense that it was not Dev, but she who got the prenup signed.

This might induce Sonakshi to come back to Dixit house with Soha.

I am just guessing here. But I am still confused about the divroce of Dev and Sonakshi...

Please clarify...šŸ˜†

First of all story can't be guessed on the basis of spoilers as they can be true or false and ishwari is a very tough cookie to crack I would say. Don't know when she will accept the truth. As for the divorce yes nothing like getting divorce is shown in the last episode before leap but CVS can add that devakshi signed the papers in the past. Or can 7 years of separation automatically results into divorce šŸ˜•??????? I know if husband is missing then such rules apply but are CVS gonna show same thing ????!!!

I was just reading about the divorce proceeding in India. For mutual divorce, both husband and wife have to file the petition together and cite the differences and say that they cannot reconcile. If they can prove that divorce is granted, but are given 6 months time to follow up. After that 6 months period, they have to file again and say they are sure of their decision to divorce. After that they have to once again finalize the divorce in 18 months. i.e. they have to say that they have moved on.

Unless all these has happened, legally a couple cannot be divorced in India... Not sure if Dev and Sonakshi went through all these.

If not, they are still married legally even though they are living separately...which means Sonakshi is not just Dr. Sonakshi Bose, but she is Dr. Sonakshi Bose Dixit or Sonakshi Dev Dixit or Sonakshi Dixit...šŸ˜†

I am also confused. By the emphasis on the ex we are assuming that they are divorced. But GKB and GKBKB already said that they haven't met for the past 7 years. If it is not legal then the prenup is null and void in case of custody case. But if they were divorced without the prenup playing any part then Sona should have been given half of Dev's property and it is not the case here. And if not legally divorced I don't know how they will extricate Dev from infidelity charges.

The way they are calling each other Ex means divorce has been completed. Hopefully they show that Divorce has happened. Looks rather unreal that the couple wud nt apply for divorce after such a bitter separation.

I am not sure. One of my relative is separated from her husband, but not divorced. She has been away from him for nearly 10 yrs now. Her dad did not want her to apply for divorce. They did not speak to each other for almost 8-9 yrs. But from past 1 -- 1 1/2 yrs, the husband has been coming to her house for reconciliation. He also has started to talk to his kids, take them out, spend time with them. Legally they are not divorced, but are separated for sure.

Also neither one is thinking about divorce now or anytime soon...
