What was the point of the leap?

I fail the understand the reason for the leap ... Wasn't it to reset to get rid of all the over the top drama and randomness and bring back the original subtlety of the show? Like before the first breakup?

I realize that they are building to a big plot twist, but do we need all the drunken OTT behaviour? Cant they show the bitterness between the couple in a more subtle way (ie less public drunkenness, award snatching, etc). My issue with the OTT drama is that the writers then spend less time building the story and more time with creating the dramatics and plot goes for a toss.

The episode writers for this show have changed so I understand that difference in what the episodes were like initially and what they are like now, but the screenplay writers have not changed so what is the reason for the major holes in the plot and random changes we see? It's like the screenplay writers have random episodes of amnesia and forget character traits, plot arcs and the goal of the tracks they introduce. The screenplay writers introduce some really good angles such as prenup infertility and then abandon them abruptly so all the build up and anticipation falls flat and the audience is disappointed and left feeling cheated.

Its like those Indian movies that randomly change after the interval, the audience forgives the movie because they only invested 2-3 hours but with this show the audience has invested months and the makers are making a mockery of this investment.

Today I felt like the writers have begun to jerk/cheat the audience again like they did in season 1... Subtlety out the window again. So the people who came back to the show hoping for a good show will leave soon enough.

I've said this before and will say this again the makers of this show have a really unique situation that they aren't capitalizing on correctly... The fan following of the individual leads (Shaheer, Supriya and now Erica) is huge, and they know this because picking these guys was no fluke... The fan base is huge as is the love and fan base for Sharica. So people will watch the show regardless of the story ... This is what the makers could have used to tell a unique story that they wanted to and not worry about being shut down because of low TRPs.

It has been established that drama doesn't add to the TRP of this show because the audience of this show define entertainment differently from those that watch Gopi and Snake shows. The KRPKAB audience finds entertainment in analyzing the subtle dialogs and scenes whereas the Gopi and snake show audience want entertainment in the form of over the top sets and drama, I don't see the indepth analysis for these shows ... Not commenting on anyone's intelligence just different audience for different show types.

Did we really need the leap and introduction of the kids?
