i totally agree with you. what Dev and Sona shared is not something that defines a relationship. they might have been in love, and got married, but neither of them realize what being in love or marriage/commitment for a life long really means. i wonder if they even knew what they mean to each other. To me i see them as persons who went with the flow.Originally posted by: gemini54
Dev Dixit in the first season struggled to strike a balance between his mother and his wife and failed causing a bitter break up. Sona tried to adjust in the marriage but failed to and the marriage broke
Dev signed a Pre Nup stating that he will not be part of his child's life if he has one (Not intentionally). Sona moved on and hid their child from him( not arguing morality here)Just like Dev had his reasons to blame Sona for the Breakup Sona had her reasons to blame Dev.The story ended. Lots of times in reality the fairy tale or a bad marriage ends7 years past Sona comes back to the city their child in Tow. She is ok with the child having a relationship with her DadDad barges into the award ceremony snatches the award..maybe with provocation of Sona (not taking sides here)Then he returns the Trophy after of course showing her he has moved on..fair enough they are divorced( not sure ) say for argument sake they are..he has every right to do what he pleases .We thought that the story ended ... But their story has not really ended as they have a child ..A child for which I am sure both will fight for custody.Dev's current actions however bitter it is not acceptable in society because this in real life is called harassment..how much ever people claim Sona provoked his actions. Now the way this fictitious story can have a possible ending is for Dev when he realizes he has a daughter mend his ways not for Sona sake as I think that ship has sailed but for his child.Sona however bitter she is has to realize that Soha is his daughter and so has to be civil to himSo they amicably decide to have joint custody of their child...NOT GET BACK TOGETHER AGAIN...because too many things has happenedLet us not here Idolize what Dev is doing in the name of Love and what Sona is doing also in the name of Love..If the makers have the GUTS to show this on TV that will be a Good Show where sometimes somethings were just not meant to be and parents do compromise for the Love of the child and to stay civil with each other even after estrangement.OTHERWISE LET US NOT FOOL OURSELVES THAT THIS IS LOVE . For THIS IS not AND just let us call a Spade a Spade

Wonderful post.
I'd actually made a post on similar thoughts. https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/kuch-rang-pyar-ke-aise-bhi/4786096/beautifully-growing-apart-as-strong-parallel-linesI also wanted some level of maturity dignity and forgiveness towards each other , if not any thing at least some modicum of decency and social polite behavior , in the interaction between the leads post-leap. Urrgghh do their interactions have to be so angst filled and bitter !! At least Sona was behaving more maturely and some glad that in the precap instead of taking part in a yelling duel and push pull she's simply calling the cops.If they can't be decent around each other at this point I'd rather they completely ignore each other.I'm totally on the board for staying on good terms but never going back together , because frankly speaking , if they get back together after all that happened and still keeps happening , it'd be the height of ridiculousness.
