True Redemption is...when guilt leads to good

One thing is for sure that Dev will now never hurt Sonakshi. He has already done that mistake twice before unintentionally (under the influence of Ishwari) and faced the consequences. He is a changed man now. A man who is still the provider of the family but lives life at his own terms and with a I don't give a damn attitude. He cannot be manipulated by anyone including Ishwari. Deep inside Dev knows that what he and entire Dixit family did to Sonakshi was entirely wrong and so he felt guilty and himself freed her from all the sufferings with his harsh words so that she can easily move ahead in life and indirectly motivated her to be a winner in life.

After the whole prenuptial truth come out, Dev realized that his mother is no God. He then instantly chose Sona over Dixit family and was trying to make Sona understand his decision but she by then had fully lost trust in him and bluntly ended their relationship. As soon as Dev heard those words, something broke inside him. The two most important women in his life were over - one backstabbed him and other mistrusted him. That was enough for him to lose faith in all relationships.

Dev's only weakness or fault was always his blind love for his mother which is now shattered. No one can deny that Dev always had a golden heart. He always was and will always be one of a kind - a person who can go to any extent for his loved ones. So now that he is a man who takes his own decisions and a firm human being who cannot be manipulated ; Dev will surely immerge as a more nicer person which will lead to his true redemption.

I do not buy the theory of him harming Sona or snatching away Soha. Deep inside I have a strong feeling that Dev surely will have a hidden part in Sona's success. He may seem negative now but in long run he will surely immerge as a winner. A man who will win his wife back with dignity and give her all the respect she deserves.

The first season ended with Dev realizing his mother's insecurities and the amount of damage she has caused to him and his life .We saw him finally realizing where his true place is and he chose Sonakshi over his family but various misunderstandings caused the couple to seperate .

If you look without being biased we realize the marriage failed because of two people Dev and Sona .Dev realized where the problem was but Sona is still living in a world of lies .There many things she is not aware of .I personally feel this Season is for Sona to realize ...her obsession to impress her MIL , not strengthening her bond with her husband ,ego and a interfering and over protective father are the reasons for her marriage failure as well .Introspection is needed very badly .Unless they both learn from their mistakes their marriage won't survive the second blow .

7 years back Dev decided to be with her but it was her decision to spilt .Its time she claims what is hers instead of letting him go like in season 1 (during Natasha phase )and win back her husband's trust .

I don't agree with you completely. Dev knew about his mothers insecurities and her dislike of Sona but did not do anything about it, hoping a non existent baby will solve all problems. And he always disregarded Sonakshis feelings in favor of his mom. She did not get respect in that house, as her husband it was Devs responsibility to make sure she was treated with respect. She was taunted and ridiculed but Dev didn't say a word for her. Sona did her best, she gave and gave and gave but got nothing in return. Ishwari had planned her sons divorce even before he was married, Sona didn't stand a chance. Also his habit of lying and finding temporary solutions to problems. How would Sonakshi know he was not lying again? He finally came to his senses and chose Sona but it was too late . And the things he said to her in the end is unforgivable. Calling her infertile and a gold digger. Only the worst kind of jerks would say that. Maybe he was angry and drunk but he sealed the fate of their marriage. In the end it was Devs spinelessness , blind worship of his mother destroyed the only meaningful relationship in his life.

I think money was a sensitive topic from the beginning for Sona !

But She always beleived in organizing a converstaion between Ranveer and Neha when they were facing problems in their marriage but did not talk with Dev ever again after the farmhouse meeting. He was drunk that time and all the stuff she heard was from other people that were not trustworthy so she should have sorted the matter with him. I feel that she was feeling suffocated in the marriage because of aishwari's evryday tamashas and also the infertility treatment was looming so they both decided to end it there .
