Spoiler about Dev and Sona's first encounter in detail

Sona gets out of the car to buy Suhana an ice-cream and runs into Dev who is having an ice-cream with his girlfriend. Though the two ignore each other completely over there, Dev creates a ruckus at the awards function. Just as Sona receives the award, Dev snatches it from her hand and announces that she is his ex-wife. He also announces that he has always been getting this award before her. Sona gives it back to him in front of the media and her changed behaviour shocks him.

Obviously, Dev thinks that she is still the same emotional Sona who would start weeping or try to handle the situation but is in for a shock. She proves to him that he doesn't matter to her anymore and that she has worked really hard to achieve the award.
