Kuch Rang my MOM ke eise bhi

I know lots of speculations going on in the forum...myriad of feelings...some are excited, some are in angst, and some are detached...I thought let me share with you our experience at home after Friday's epi...I expected tongue lashes between the duo which happened but I didn't expect Sona to throw Mangalsutra on Fire..I was flabbergasted...And looked at my mom...

Me: this is little too much...you can't let your emotions overrule you.

My Mom: No, this is god's retribution to Dev for what he has done to his wife.

I was shocked is an understatement 😕. Me: Mom did you see she threw her Mangalsutra.

Mom: "yeah what's point in hanging it around your neck when the person who tied it doesn't keep up his words?"

Me: So you are OK with DIVORCE.

SO I called out my sisters and said "Guys if you are planning to divorce but are worried about Mom's reactions, pl go ahead, she is fine with it"

Mom: My SILS are not like your Dev, if they are like him, I would have initiated Divorce, forget Divorce, I wouldn't have let my daughter marry him in the first place because he married her for his mom...

I told her: Mom I rest my case. I am getting to see not KUCH rang PYAR ke...but KUCH rang my MOM ke... I gave an ultimatum to my Huby also.,,," Look you better behave yourself, my MOM is fine and will support me if I Divorce you".😉 Thanks to PH and CVs of KRPKAB who made me see a different shade of my MOM...

PS: I conveyed to my MOM appreciation of the Forumites and She is very happy...

This type support system , we all girls want from our family...then no girls will be tortured physically or mentally in our society...I know...encouragement on wrong things from family...It is not right too...But support on right time when a girl needs...That is called support system of a girl..

@Bold - I agree. If girls get this kind of suppourt for right things.Many women who face domestic violence n mental abuse.Can take a bold step of Divorce.Because parents r there to suppourt her.She can start a new life.

Keeping aside whether the makers really doing justice to this beautiful show or not, one good thing is we are getting a chance to see perspectives of people around us wrt these situations and the best thing no one is supporting these kind of back ward thinking. From the time this post marriage track started, whenever my husband watching this show he always says how this marriage is going to work when this couple is so busy in pleasing their mother and MIL instead of spending time in understanding each other.
