Separation and Leap not accidental.

I may be in minority here, but I don't think the separation or the leap was accidental. This was planned from first episode.

When Dev gets Sonakshi fired from her job the first time, He apologizes to her. At that time her parting words are "aap ek paisewale gareeb hai, jo is doctor ko afford nahi karsakte". At that time Dev could not only afford her, but also force her to work for him. At that time he was able to close all doors for her in Delhi. But now since she is rich, he cannot do either one. I mean maybe she will ask for a price he cannot pay and also he won't be able to close any doors for her.

In the episode before holi episode, Ishwari eats oily food and shows symptoms similar to heart attack. When Dev blames Sonakshi as the reason for Ishwari's plight, Ishwari clarifies that Sonakshi is not at fault. Also gkb always said that Sonakshi is not a real doctor. My guess is gkb will have heart attack or something else where the doctor will suggest balanced diet. He may also recommend Sonakshi as the best option. At that time there is a possibility that Sonakshi might refuse to treat her. GKB and Vickky at that time will be forced to tell the truth of how they lied and broke Dev -- Sonakshi. They will have to admit.

The other thing is Sonakshi's dialogue regarding living her love story. Just before the accident Sonakshi tells Dev the kind of love story she wants to live. She also tells that she won't die before living her love story. Dev at that time told her that he never thought about those things. When Dev realizes that he loves Sonakshi he has a conversation in front of the mirror. He says that he feels about Sonakshi the way she described love. He loved Sonakshi as she wanted and not really from his perspective. The whole of their time together was based on Sonakshi's definition of love. Also Sonakshi fulfilled her words of living her love story before her death. With this transformation the old Sonakshi is kind of dead. This separation is the only way Dev can think about the kind of love life he wants.

The conversation Dev and Sonakshi have after she saves Ishwari in the bazaar where Ishwari gets dizzy and falls down is also very significant regarding the leap and separation. When Dev offers her job once again and tells her to name her price, Sonakshi replies "kuch logon ki price tag nahi hoti. Mujhe paisonki zaroorat hai, par uska moh nahi hai". The scenes and events they showed now is the only way Sonakshi would become ambitious and think about making money.

Also in the conversation after Sonakshi's firing, she tells him that aap sanskaron ko sambal nahi pays. Ishwari has taught Dev the name and definition of values, but not the real meaning of it. Meaning in the episode with Noha's lehenga for wedding it is Sonakshi who tells him why Ishwari was correct. She says you have to show Ranveer that you respect him. You cannot just say that you respect him. Probably now he will learn the real meaning of values.

There are several scenes that needs to be repeated and the only way to show that is with this leap and separation. I am very sure that this was planned from the very beginning of the series and is not introduced just like that. The CVs have never strayed from the original story.

This is just my POV. Thoughts and comments are welcome.

Very well analyzed indeed..

Ya , it's quite possible the leap was planned.. But there's one thing... Erica mentioned in the recent interview that she wasn't ready yet for mother and it will take time to sink in... This kind of casts a doubt that the leap was not planned from the beginning... If she had known it before hand, maybe she would have been prepared..

Just my POV..

Even i feel that separation and specially leap was planned. The only shocking thing is a huge 7 year leap and introducing Devakshi's child. They could have done it without it also. Lets see how the story shapes up.

a thing which I like to tell here... I think...few months before...supriya ji posted a photo with a lady and she tells that the lady was also a possessive mother and it took many years for that lady to come out of her insecurities with his son and also...from your great analysis...this leap is planned and also krpkab never do any lame scene or waste dialogue...till now... according to my opinion...each scene or dialogue is meant and for the story...I too lost hope on krpkab few times...felt bad also...but after some thoughts and thinking as it is a piece of entertainment...it pacifies me and I continue...and I really looking forward for new Dev-suha-sona track from tmrw...

I liked Ur analysis and of course they will correlate the scenes. But the leap was not planned. It is done bcoz of pressure from audience to change the saas bahu track. Also other reasons may be the change of directors and displeasure of the actors specially shaheer and supriyaji. Erica too in the interview said she wasn't prepared. Devs Casanova image is also out of sudden and according to me doesn't fits in. But let's give CVs another chance for all the previous beautiful moments they have given us.

Shaavi, you are one more to the growing list of wise people in this forum. You will make a good writer.

I will guarantee you, that these KRPKAB writers ( i call them freaks, BTW) know nothing of what you wrote about. They are certainly not as intelligent as you and they lack the basic "buddhi" that writers have. Reason, the way, the made Sona and Dev separate.

if they really wanted to show a separation, they could have stayed consistent with the theme of the original promos and shown Dev and Sona having a frank heart to heart and amicably parting. It does not even have to be a divorce. Just staying apart for sometime to look at things from a different perspective.. and in this period they could have shown them as good friends too. On top of all this they could have added what you have written.

what with all this false accusations of Dev, floor burning ( OTT symbolism), casting away of the mangalsutra etc. Absolute non-sense and makes my blood boil. They did not have to do all this.. they may justify all this by saying that Dev wanted to set Sona free. oh, come on. he he could have set her free by even talking heart to heart.. and Sona would have gladly agreed as she too was not happy with Ishwari, GKB, Vicky, Neha.. where is the spirit of giving a relationship a chance? Does only a child have to be the reason for people to be woken up from their deep slumber?
