What is family? and how important is pleasing the whole family when it is a personal issue just between husband and wife?

Having a child ( or not having one) is a very very personal thing between two people it is as intimate as it can get between a husband and a wife so what role does family play in this equation? Aren't family ( extended ) supposed to be a support system and not the system itself?. So an intimate decision like having a child or unable to have one how does the role of a mother of the husband or the mother of the wife come into play and should it?

I am grappling with this track and am unable to come to terms with it because as I see it this track is only between Dev and Sona and their happiness or lack thereof, where does Easwari's happiness come in here ? and why is it important for Dev to make sure his mother is happy so much so he is hellbent on jeopardizing his relationship to a woman he claims he loves? isn't it devastating for him that he may never have a child with the woman he loves? What is different about this mother son duo ( other than the hardships they have faced) . So as a Mother why wouldn't Easwari want her son to be happy knowing well that Sona is his happiness. So where exactly are they taking this story and what role does Sona have in Dev's life other than the obvious one? Where is Sona's devastation in all this? why is it being addressed as Easwari's loss?

I wish someone would enlighten me because this whole track of infertility to bring out the dynamics between Easwari, Dev and Sona saddens me as a mother/ wife and a woman and I certainly did not sign up for this show to feel sad or angry.

The hug scene was heart wrenching... It shows how much he loves her. But I still doubt is he more concerned about sona or her param pujya Mata. I still can't get it. But today he was more concerned about her lady love.

To be honest, I never ever understood why Dev tried to hide the truth... I mean one day or the other this was going to come out in front of everyone.. What was the point of hiding ? And he hardly. made any attempt to find any treatment until the pregnancy news came...

As for the track, I don't see any message or motive here,, Bcoz i feel this was not the way CVs had originally planned the track..

Plus, Ishwari has three daughters too, her wish to become grandma will come true one day atleast through her daughters rite or there is difference in this too??

what can you expect from show where writers are from ekta kapoor camp and wrote serials like sasural simar kar ,regressive shit. They totally made mockery out infertility issue .It should be sona who should leave dixit house and take stand for her self. instead what we get ishwari leaving dixit house .😕 no matter what they will always make third person their priority ,Dev is still spineless when his wife is getting insulted by GKB with no fault of hers.😕 I am reaching my tipping point i guess i will wait and see dynamic between trio after infertility truth ,if focus will be on Ishwari's wishes and her tantrums then GOODBYE TATA SHOW.😊

I am very upset the way they handled this issue. It is do evident that they want a child only for eshwari happiness. Sonakshi more concerned about eshwari than devastated from knowing not being pregnant. It is a shameful for a mother hood. Very upsetting track. I am so angry at cvs.

This entire track is never about a woman who has to come to terms with being infertile and her husband supporting her. If it was about Sonakshi, Dev would have revealed the truth and promise to stand by her whatever decision she takes about having a child. Also stay beside her if she wanted to go for test tube baby or surrogacy. But the fact that Dev hid it from her and tried to get her fertility treatment behind her back, means it was all about Ishwari.

This is my answer of your question. The point you are putting is correct that to have a child is the decision of husband and wife. and from normal point of view it is the couple's decision and the rest of the family should be support system. But many times its is not treated as the couples decision but they are forced to take this decision because of various family pressers and I know may people who has gone throw this. In the case of Dev and sona. your question For Dev why Ishwari's happiness importance because this is the story of a boy who become a man at the age of may be 8. This is the story of a son for his mother is no longer a mother but the some times become his child and the child who is very demanding and who want that her wishes should be get fulfilled. Ishwari feels that she have given the extra love and care and good education to dev so for the entire life dev should do the repayment for this by fulfilling her ever dream and wish. And for this somewhere dev is also responsible because he fells its his responsibility. when at his home his mother does not consider that he can have his own wishes and thoughts and his own happiness how you expect other will understand that. For Dev to fulfill his mother's wish means he is making the repayment. not consciously but subconsciously and this is not after sona's entry in dev's wife as gf or wife but before that also because Ishu and Neha love to give the Dev a guilt trip. From the child hood dev used to fulfilled ishwari's every wish and give the the special treatment because one reason that he loves his mother and other that he knows that because ishwari's behavior rest his sister's are not going to treat her as the ideal mother. Neha was always having the problem and niki and riya found the mother in neha. and some for this may be dev was feeling himself responsible.(actually he is not).

Now coming to the happiness of dev and sona when you sacrifice your own happiness for other person he always expect the same thing from you. dev and sona always done the sacrificed for ishu so after marriage she constantly expect the same thing .because the person who does the

sacrifice silently people expect the same thing from them. That why Ishu was very happy that sona is going to be mother because of from her point of view ones again and dev and sona does the sacrifice their future plan for her. and she know they the only one who will do this things for her she can't expect any thing from neha.

And why dev is doing this because of the fear of losing sona this the the biggest fear of Dev and for sona her biggest fear is to face the same situation where Ishu is not happy wiith her and dev is choose to fores one of his relationships and the fear that dev wil ones agin choosing his mother over sona.

That s why ishu happiness is more important for them for the time being.

I hope at the end of the track both will learn their lessons.

I think we need to look at it a little differently. Right from the beginning, it is pretty clear that Dev is a guy who loves his mom and also his wife. I think by now, he knows them both pretty well too. He cannot live without his mother and his wife... this whole track, while even i may not agree with it, is written from the perspective of Dev.. keeping aside all the impracticality and the stupidity at times... just seeing his mother and his wife bond.. gave him immense pleasure.. in fact, it was his desire to see his mom love his wife more than him.. we may question it for whatever it is worth, but it is a track nevertheless.

i am personally glad that this track has been brought to closure, at least momentarily.. i would have loved it had Sona herself told Ishwari that her son lied to both of them rather than Ishwari being told by someone else..

well, let us see what the future holds.. maybe some of the questions may be answered.

Thanks all for responding but today my questions remain just that unanswered questions because in my opinion this track of infertility to show Easwari's insecurities shows three people in bad light. Dev the husband/Man , Sona the WOMAN/ wife and Easwari the mother and more importantly belittles the painful reality of Infertility
