What a brilliantly paced episode yet again!šAnd how carefully they have shown all the contrasts between Dev-Sonakshi and Vicky -Elena!
As I said in the title, The shameless are always fearless, neither did Vicky have an ounce of regret or shame or even shock when his father slapped him, when the entire family was in a state of shock, how conveniently he lied that he doesn't have a clue about Elena, that he was equally shocked about the news. That he withdrew money for his loans! How Shameless! I was convinced for a second that maybe vicky really doesn't have a clue.
But, even two steps ahead of Vicky is Elena. What a let down she has been. She let the family which kept her more than their own daughter, go through so much. Not once did this girl think of her sister who blindly trusts her, of Maasi-maiso who have her mother to give reply to and not even her own mother who is miles away, rest assured, that her daughter has gone to study and is safe in her home.
Not even a bit of regret she had. Not only eloped but also married.
And I don't really think Vicky and Elena love each other. Their very relationship is built on shallow grounds.
They say love is blind, I wonder if there is even love? Or Just the desire to rebel? Or mere attraction?
If it is love, good for them. Really dont care though.
And because of these two, what tussle was created between the two families. Obviously, Bijoy and Asha or any other parent would never expect their child to elope like this, specially when they provide such a friendly atmosphere in the family. I can understand the plight of the Bose family because never in their dreams, they hd a clue that this was coming. How ridiculously selfish of Elena! Really!
And this girl had the guts to post a facebook Selfie declaring her marriage but not inform her family!š
Bijoy acted impulsively and him bringing the police to Dixit house was wrong but that was because he panicked and wanted to pressurise Vicky. Little did they know that Elena was equal responsible.
Minutes ago, bijoy was blaming everyone and man, what a shock it was to see their own side faltering.
They say,
"Jab apna ki sikka khota hai, to dusre se kya kahe"
Which means when your coin is defective, you can't blame someone else for being unfair.
Really very embarrassing for both familes but as soon as they entered, the Dixit family, specially mamiji got an upper hand. Sonakshi had to apologise, Dev looked down ( I loved how Dev was so visibly disappointed that Sona had to apologise) and Ishwari also clearly said that vicky wasn't alone in this.
Lovely contrast being drawn here though.
On one hand is Dev, who relishes every dish made by his mother, keeps it above everything else and when Vicky's mother tried the same for him, trying to play important by cooking, he brushed it off insensitively and scolded her (he treated her right thoughš)
On one hand, Dev Sonakshi loved each other to death but without even saying a word or protesting, separated because their families were not happy. Sonakshi respected her parents so much that she at once, was ready to marry Ritwick, leaving aside everything. And only when her parents and his mother green-signalled, they married. How sensitive they were for the elders.
On the other hand are vicky-elena, who are not only inconsiderate of their families happiness, they also make it a point to insult and let down the families which have obliged them.
Looking forward to see how these two extremes survive under one roof. Clashes are bound to happen.
