Sorry guys I am very techie person. HONESTLY, I am not a good writer but will try my best to put my thoughts in a readable manner.

Plus I'm typing this message in my phone so please excuse my typos. Whatever I wrote below is just my POV. No offense please!

Let me give a brief intro about myself. I'm 38 yr. old independent working women. That means I already passed thru the Sona's phase of journey, which means I'm in between Sona and Ishwari generation. May be because that age difference or experience I could see both shades white n Grey in Ishwari and Sona's character.

Based on what I read in this section of the forum, most of them are biased towards Sona. That is absolutely ok with me. I too support her and many times, I applauded for her dialogues especially during break up period. Since most of you guys scrutinizing Dev and Ishwari character in microscope n I thought I do not have to waste my time in talking negative about them. It will be just a repetitive. So, I decided to show u guys the other side of Sona and Mr.Bijoy personality or theory.

I want to mention here Mr.Bijoy and Sona's logical theory. According to them, the logic that works for them is not same for others.

The logic what Sona and Mr Bijoy preach or talk is only applicable to them and NOT to others.

Mr.Bijoy proudly calls Sona as his "Pride" daughter or "Dady's girl" and that sentiment\love will NOT change even after her marriage. I am also a proud daughter to my parents, so I can understand that sentiment.

But how come their own logic should NOT work or applicable to others. Sona and Bijoy taunt Dev as Mama's Boy? Seriously!!!!!!!!

Mr Bijoy's another logic\theory is that no one should insist his daughter Sona to do house chores\work. He said many times that Sona mainly focused in her career and so she didn't have to learn cooking washing etc ...in fact he told that to Ritwik dad as well.

In one of the episode, I remember Mr.Bijoy told Sona that if such situation arises then they should appoint a cook or servant but u do not have to work in ur in-laws house. He never ever encouraged his daughter to learn cooking or other things especially for someone else.

Mr.Bijoy logic makes sense to me.

In fact I applauded for that dialogue when I first heard it. But why that logic is NOT applicable to Dev Dixit who is a busy business tycoon. Was Saurav also trained like that before Sona got married to Dev.?

In fact Mr.Bijoy himself said that Sourav also don't know how to do these things.

So, why didn't Sona started that theory in her house before her marriage. She should have trained her loving brother by now. But, that logic doesn't seem to work in her house. Seriously!!!!!!!! How come?

I know Sona wants to learn cooking n make everyone happy that is her choice after marriage. Did any time Ishwari or Dev insisted Sona to change or do things for them?

But still she's called as "Bechari Sona"!!!!!! Seriously!!!!!!!!

Mr Bijoy and Sona are also good at lecturing people or u may call it as "Pravachan". They too good at that.

Sona lectured Neha during her wedding time to accept the wedding jhoda. She explained to Neha how important it is for the bride to respect the groom side family shagun thing etc etc. what happened to that same logic in her wedding?

The wedding was conducted from beginning to end according to Sona's family custom. Here we have to give some credit to Ishwari in spite of being very rich she still made sure they respected Ranveer's family sentiments.

She didn't want to compromise on that part. But what I understood by Sona's character, she's very matured and knows how to deal with the situations. She knows when to answer back.

So, why didn't she communicated with Ishwari or have her Mom Asha talk to ishwari specially about serving non veg food as she's been a personal dietitian to ishwari for 3 months. sona should have known Ishwari's likes n dislikes.

Name one Dixit family custom that Sona's family followed\implemented in the wedding? Sorry guys but I don't remember.

Sona interference logic - She's still a newbie in the dixit family. She should take some time to understand the relations or situations in the family before she get involved fully.

In Neha's case in spite of Neha telling Sona not to interfere in her issue, Sona was still interfering. Sona should have stayed away not interfering in Neha's issue...let Neha learn her lesson or leave it to her destiny for some time.

I understand Sona is educated that doesn't mean she's always correct. Right, Guys?

But when it comes to her personal thing she choose to keep it secret.

I'm talking here about her new online consulting business with Saurav. In one of the episode Sourav asked Sona not to tell anyone. Sona immediately agreed to keep it secret.

Sona should have at least talked to Dev about the new online consulting as she was also involved in that business.

So, what happened to Sona's logic\theory to discuss things between husband and wife? Not applicable when it comes to her personal stuff? Seriously!!!!!!!!

The other most important Mr.Bose logic which I really couldn't understand was when Dev and Sona was kicked out of the house by Bijoy in middle of the night to settle their matter.

Really?????? So whatever the logic we heard from Bijoy makes good sense to all of u? Is that a sensible thing to do?. Why couldn't he put them in a room and asked them to sort it out.

Is Delhi a safe place to walk ,that too midnight? plus our matured 26 yr Sona was walking away like a mad cap on the street not listening to Dev's request to get into the car.

Is that a sensible behavior? If Neha or Nikki would have done that Sona would have given BIG pravachan then n there. Right guys?

But still Bijoy logic makes sense to Sona's family except Asha!!!! !!!!!! Seriously!!!!!!!!

Does Ishwari love Dev more than her daughters? my answer is Yes.

Does Mr.Bijoy love Sona more than his son? My answer is Yes.

What I saw is not just Ishwari is partial about Dev but Bijoy is also very fond and partial about his daughter Sona more than sourav. We saw it many times.

Of course Bijoy loves both Sona and Sourav but he's loves Sona more than Saurav just like Ishwari. Ishwari also loves her daughters but more Dev.

May be she's showing it or doing it more than Bijoy as her situations were different than Bijoy. So, why blame just Ishwari we should also blame Bijoy too.

They are many instances like these I can write n prove about Mr.Bijoy and Sona's grey shades but my intention is NOT to show in detail their grey shades and put their characters down.

I genuinely like Bijoy and Sona characters. Having said that, i don't mind seeing their grey shades because I sincerely believe no one is perfect in this world! It's ok to see grey shades and talk about them.

One last thing I want to talk about is Ishwari and her last speech on Dev's B'day.

I know some of you thought it was fake and manipulating.

But, guys, please don't bash that character every time. Honestly ever since Sona got married and came to Dixit's house..i'm seeing both white n grey shades in both Ishwari and Sona. Both of them r thinking n doing things right and wrong way.

But, just in this forum people have set their lenses to see white shade of Sona.

Let me talk about Ishawari's role. By what I read and heard about Ishwari, she's one such unique mother who went thru hardships to raise her children(son and 3 daughters) by herself without any help.

One has to be in her shoe to understand what she went thru. She lost her husband at very young age and for her Dev was the only son who could lend her help.

What she said in her speech makes sense. Ishwari completely dependent on Dev. and Dev on his mother for so many years. She became possessive and over protective about her son.

Does in real Ishwari character exists? My answer is 100% YES. With my experience, I'm saying this.

This over possessiveness and insecurity won't go away in just few days or few months after marriage. But, trust me it would take few years. Eventually, they may become good friends too if one knows how to handle maturely the situations.

To gain that trust and confident one has to have patience and deal the situations maturely.

If u talk about Asha's character, to me she's the only one character that I would appreciate to the core. Very sensible and matured understanding. I'm liking Asha character more n more.

But again her situation is different...She has supportive family and loving husband thru out her journey.

There's no need to pity both Ishwari and Sona as they both are strong!!!!!

They don't need external supportive system to defend them when people taunt them. They both know how n when to voice their opinion when the situation arises.

Lastly, my best 2 scenes or dialogues i would say which touched my heart so far in KRPKAB are

1. Dev first confession to Sona.

2. Sona's dialogue to Ishwari. "My mom taught me about accepting the new relationships. did u teach same to Dev?". this is my favourite scene\dialogue in entire KRPKAB.

Kudos to cv's and dialogue writers!!!!!!!👏

Very good unbiased write up of a different view.👏
I am one of the oldest ( age wise)😉 member of this forum but this is the first show I am posting on. I started watching this show as it stuck some personal chords with me. I am biased towards Sona as I see some shades of me in her. I dont agree with some of what you wrote about Sona but some I can see you have a point. I really used to like Dev Dixit the character in the beginning but of late cannot relate to him at all. I am a mother and I cannot relate to the character of Easwari I understand that she did go thru hardships and that makes her who she is but her bias towards one child to the point of bordering on obsession is a turn off for me. My MIL was not educated and they went thru hardships to raise 10 children and she did it beautifully without Bias so I dont buy the hardship the reason for bias . I have for one tried to put myself in her shoes several times and also tried to see her POV did that even yesterday but the archaic and regressive thinking portrayed in this show is a big turn off.

I like what you wrote about Bijoy I love his character but you are right he does have flaws and comes across as loud but I think the reason I like him seems to be because he is the voice of atleast some of the audience including me ( again just my POV). My favorite character when I began this show was Neha because I thought she was the forgotten child the child who suffered a lot but lately her portrayal has been horrible. I even used to relate to Mami because I have seen people like her but repeating the same thing with no progress is kind of a put off. Asha still remains my favorite along with Dadi.
The way I am viewing this show now( reading only the written updates that too skimming) is that the creatives had a beautiful story to tell about two individuals in Love dealing with an insecure mother and embracing her into their fold and she overcoming her insecurities. I have seen it happen in real life as I lived and living it. But this show has really lost its way and that is the sad part.

Again thanks for giving a different perspective it is always good to see a different POV

You have made good points. But here's my two cents worth.

1. Bijoy adores his daughters and constantly teases his son. But he never used his son to manipulate his daughter or vice versa. Ishwari used Neha not going to honeymoon to manipulate Dev and Sona not going to theirs, yet is arranging Riya's wedding when Neha's marriage is breaking up.

2. Bijoy Bose never called Sona Daddy's girl nor imposed his decisions on her. A man is not Mamma's boy if he loves his mother or his mother loves her son. But when the mom commands and the man jumps without asking how high and doesn't give a crap who he hurt in the process (Example: Break up and recently aunty drama), then he is indeed a Mamma's boy or puppet. An adult human being knows how to use their own brain.

3. I don't know about others, but I at least criticised Sonakshi for not wearing the lehenga Ishwari gave her at her wedding. There was multiple posts on it as I recall. So she was criticised for it.

4. Sonakshi was told by Dev that Non-veg can be at the wedding and he will convince Ishwari. Should Sona claim she knows Ishwari better than her own son and read their mind? If I tell someone something about my mother, will they believe me or pretend to know my mother better than I? I guess knowing his tendencies to lie, she should just never believe him but what to do? Love is stupid.

5. Bijoy Bose sent them outside his house. Dev and Sona have spent many late nights just outside Sonakshi's house drinking tea, dancing in the rain or chatting. What made Sona decide to take a walk at 2 a.m. I don't know. But I did criticise her for it. But one thing no one can claim that Bijoy Bose didn't even ask about his son-in-law while celebrating his daughter's birthday and cutting cake with her with his family. Ishwari did.

6. Bijoy Bose never taught his son or daughter cooking. But they did household chores. Sona put her bed and clothes away herself and there was no indication that Asha was running after Saurabh doing those chores for him. They may not have done cooking, but they were not as useless as unable to figure out how to fold a square piece of handkerchief. Sona didn't ask Dev to do vaccuming or dusting. She asked him to fold his own clothes (not hers) and put them away to his own wardrobe so that Ishwari doesn't keep peeking into their personal wardrobe which they both share which you have to admit is very creepy for a mother to do in a married couple's room. Even for this little thing, Dev had to lie and go behind her back running to his Mummy. Mamma's boy? You bet.

She never asked Dev to cook or do any heavy activity that his manly muscle can't handle.

7. Regarding wedding custom, yes, Bose family followed their custom. But that's what he said before the wedding that the wedding will happen in Bengali ritual. Dixits should have insisted to have the wedding with both customs and not just one.

But then Ishwari was desperate to get this marriage done so that she can get her Goddess status back. But the moment the wedding was over, after the fish fiasco, she sent all of Bijoy's gift to his daughter and son-in-law back without once asking Sonakshi or Dev even though the fish tray never touched them. Yet, kept the dining table and ate on it where the fish tray was put. So the true colours came out soon enough.

8. Regarding Neha, Sonakshi should have stayed out and she was. She didn't interfere until Ishwari used Neha to interfere in her life and disrupt her plans. If they wanted Sonakshi to stay out, then they can't use Neha's problem conveniently appear or disappear to suit their own agenda.

9. Regarding Saurabh's business, Sona kept it a secret at Saurabh's request. True. But she didn't lie. Dev has shown as much interest in Sona's family since marriage (beyond sending Diwali gift or when he needs to get Sonakshi back) as I don't know, the price of onion.

Now let's see how many times Dev picked up a phone and called Saurabh or Elena to see how they are doing. Ummm... Never. Sona constantly keeps asking about and keeps seeing his family's problem right in front of her eyes whether she wants to know about them or see them or not. But Dev never asks about them assuming since they are not making an issue about it like his family, they are fine. To be treated like family and for people to approach you, you have to behave like a family first. But Dev has proven with his recent aunty act that he is not family.

Family nibhane se banti hain warna door ke rishtedar ko bhi log family kehte hain, lekin apna problem share nehin karte.

10. People keep forgetting because she is such an unassuming person, but Dida is a single mother too and Asha and Bijoy lives with her. Ishwari's rightful comparison should be with her, not with Asha.

Ishwari has daughters. Dadi has an only son. But yet she opened her heart to her daughter-in-law and never treated her like an outsider or enemy. If she had, Asha won't be so comfortable with her today.

11. And finally the most important one as to why Ishwari's all issues seem bigger than Bijoy's. Dev and Sona live with Ishwari and not Bijoy.

I have no doubt had they lived with Bijoy, they'd have the same issues, may be more.

But since they have to live with Ishwari, her problems are more evident.

So the solution is that Dev should buy a house across the street from his and live there with Sonakshi so that both Bijoy and Ishwari's problem are seen in small doses.

Nothing more to add.. I for one always saw the grey in Ishwari but things are very messy now.
I think the show has delivered all it could. Now it would make losses if it continues on the same path or they show what we are expecting it.. TRPs seem to be the king..

We got to move on too.. No point beating a dead horse

What can I say? Just can't believe what I read just now.
Since the show began I am the one who desparately tried to point out the flaws in Sona's ch. with the same points that you presented here. Especially her one logic for herself and another for others.
This holds true for Mr. Bijoy Bose who has the same obsession like Iswari,he for his daughter and she for her son.

I never hesitated to resent Sonakshi's habit to preach but not practice.
All the points you touched hold true in proving her grey shades along with her father.

But to say anything against Sonakshi is not acceptable in this forum. You will be mercilessly bashed and cornered. You can call Dev with the most unheard of names and can criticise Iswari in any manner you like but that is allowed.

So when I read your post I wondered whether you are ready to face all this.
Nevertheless. I applaud you for voicing your views crystal clear without fear.
Thanks for making my day delightful. Keep writing.

that speech was never fake or a manipulating one for me..it was purely mother feelings and the hurt she felt on mumma taunt.😭like ishwari did wrong to taunt sona in end of her speech..bose papa also did wrong to call dev bhatijaa in front of guest😭

Difference is Bijoy is not abnormally obsessed with his daughter. He would be the happiest person to know his daughter spending time with her husband, he wont spend entire night sitting on dinning table thinking about first night of his daughter with her husband. Most important he wont start cooking in 'baba adam era stove' or take sleeping pills just becoz his daughter got into a relationship.

Problem is not partiality, problem is weird and abnormal addiction.

First of all , Thanks for making the post.
i Agree With You.
@ Bold... Cent Percent agree...That's why i didn't find cool, and great the Bhatija Trick by Bijoy.
And About speech, i don't say ..it is fake one, infact the speech from the mother POV is so beautiful but Ishwari Maa intention is not good. That's what i felt.

When Bijoy called him Bhatija on the phone to Ishwari it was fine.. It was a private conversation and he was pushed to the limits... Remind yourself how calmly he had spoken to Ishwari first time after confession track. He sensed animosity and that is when every time he met these people he became more and more aggressive
Problem started when he started using words like 'training' and then birthday act of bhatija in front of everyone was another example of character - butchery
