Sorry guys I am very techie person. HONESTLY, I am not a good writer but will try my best to put my thoughts in a readable manner.
Plus I'm typing this message in my phone so please excuse my typos. Whatever I wrote below is just my POV. No offense please!
Let me give a brief intro about myself. I'm 38 yr. old independent working women. That means I already passed thru the Sona's phase of journey, which means I'm in between Sona and Ishwari generation. May be because that age difference or experience I could see both shades white n Grey in Ishwari and Sona's character.
Based on what I read in this section of the forum, most of them are biased towards Sona. That is absolutely ok with me. I too support her and many times, I applauded for her dialogues especially during break up period. Since most of you guys scrutinizing Dev and Ishwari character in microscope n I thought I do not have to waste my time in talking negative about them. It will be just a repetitive. So, I decided to show u guys the other side of Sona and Mr.Bijoy personality or theory.
I want to mention here Mr.Bijoy and Sona's logical theory. According to them, the logic that works for them is not same for others.
The logic what Sona and Mr Bijoy preach or talk is only applicable to them and NOT to others.
Mr.Bijoy proudly calls Sona as his "Pride" daughter or "Dady's girl" and that sentiment\love will NOT change even after her marriage. I am also a proud daughter to my parents, so I can understand that sentiment.
But how come their own logic should NOT work or applicable to others. Sona and Bijoy taunt Dev as Mama's Boy? Seriously!!!!!!!!
Mr Bijoy's another logic\theory is that no one should insist his daughter Sona to do house chores\work. He said many times that Sona mainly focused in her career and so she didn't have to learn cooking washing etc ...in fact he told that to Ritwik dad as well.
In one of the episode, I remember Mr.Bijoy told Sona that if such situation arises then they should appoint a cook or servant but u do not have to work in ur in-laws house. He never ever encouraged his daughter to learn cooking or other things especially for someone else.
Mr.Bijoy logic makes sense to me.
In fact I applauded for that dialogue when I first heard it. But why that logic is NOT applicable to Dev Dixit who is a busy business tycoon. Was Saurav also trained like that before Sona got married to Dev.?
In fact Mr.Bijoy himself said that Sourav also don't know how to do these things.
So, why didn't Sona started that theory in her house before her marriage. She should have trained her loving brother by now. But, that logic doesn't seem to work in her house. Seriously!!!!!!!! How come?
I know Sona wants to learn cooking n make everyone happy that is her choice after marriage. Did any time Ishwari or Dev insisted Sona to change or do things for them?
But still she's called as "Bechari Sona"!!!!!! Seriously!!!!!!!!
Mr Bijoy and Sona are also good at lecturing people or u may call it as "Pravachan". They too good at that.
Sona lectured Neha during her wedding time to accept the wedding jhoda. She explained to Neha how important it is for the bride to respect the groom side family shagun thing etc etc. what happened to that same logic in her wedding?
The wedding was conducted from beginning to end according to Sona's family custom. Here we have to give some credit to Ishwari in spite of being very rich she still made sure they respected Ranveer's family sentiments.
She didn't want to compromise on that part. But what I understood by Sona's character, she's very matured and knows how to deal with the situations. She knows when to answer back.
So, why didn't she communicated with Ishwari or have her Mom Asha talk to ishwari specially about serving non veg food as she's been a personal dietitian to ishwari for 3 months. sona should have known Ishwari's likes n dislikes.
Name one Dixit family custom that Sona's family followed\implemented in the wedding? Sorry guys but I don't remember.
Sona interference logic - She's still a newbie in the dixit family. She should take some time to understand the relations or situations in the family before she get involved fully.
In Neha's case in spite of Neha telling Sona not to interfere in her issue, Sona was still interfering. Sona should have stayed away not interfering in Neha's issue...let Neha learn her lesson or leave it to her destiny for some time.
I understand Sona is educated that doesn't mean she's always correct. Right, Guys?
But when it comes to her personal thing she choose to keep it secret.
I'm talking here about her new online consulting business with Saurav. In one of the episode Sourav asked Sona not to tell anyone. Sona immediately agreed to keep it secret.
Sona should have at least talked to Dev about the new online consulting as she was also involved in that business.
So, what happened to Sona's logic\theory to discuss things between husband and wife? Not applicable when it comes to her personal stuff? Seriously!!!!!!!!
The other most important Mr.Bose logic which I really couldn't understand was when Dev and Sona was kicked out of the house by Bijoy in middle of the night to settle their matter.
Really?????? So whatever the logic we heard from Bijoy makes good sense to all of u? Is that a sensible thing to do?. Why couldn't he put them in a room and asked them to sort it out.
Is Delhi a safe place to walk ,that too midnight? plus our matured 26 yr Sona was walking away like a mad cap on the street not listening to Dev's request to get into the car.
Is that a sensible behavior? If Neha or Nikki would have done that Sona would have given BIG pravachan then n there. Right guys?
But still Bijoy logic makes sense to Sona's family except Asha!!!! !!!!!! Seriously!!!!!!!!
Does Ishwari love Dev more than her daughters? my answer is Yes.
Does Mr.Bijoy love Sona more than his son? My answer is Yes.
What I saw is not just Ishwari is partial about Dev but Bijoy is also very fond and partial about his daughter Sona more than sourav. We saw it many times.
Of course Bijoy loves both Sona and Sourav but he's loves Sona more than Saurav just like Ishwari. Ishwari also loves her daughters but more Dev.
May be she's showing it or doing it more than Bijoy as her situations were different than Bijoy. So, why blame just Ishwari we should also blame Bijoy too.
They are many instances like these I can write n prove about Mr.Bijoy and Sona's grey shades but my intention is NOT to show in detail their grey shades and put their characters down.
I genuinely like Bijoy and Sona characters. Having said that, i don't mind seeing their grey shades because I sincerely believe no one is perfect in this world! It's ok to see grey shades and talk about them.
One last thing I want to talk about is Ishwari and her last speech on Dev's B'day.
I know some of you thought it was fake and manipulating.
But, guys, please don't bash that character every time. Honestly ever since Sona got married and came to Dixit's house..i'm seeing both white n grey shades in both Ishwari and Sona. Both of them r thinking n doing things right and wrong way.
But, just in this forum people have set their lenses to see white shade of Sona.
Let me talk about Ishawari's role. By what I read and heard about Ishwari, she's one such unique mother who went thru hardships to raise her children(son and 3 daughters) by herself without any help.
One has to be in her shoe to understand what she went thru. She lost her husband at very young age and for her Dev was the only son who could lend her help.
What she said in her speech makes sense. Ishwari completely dependent on Dev. and Dev on his mother for so many years. She became possessive and over protective about her son.
Does in real Ishwari character exists? My answer is 100% YES. With my experience, I'm saying this.
This over possessiveness and insecurity won't go away in just few days or few months after marriage. But, trust me it would take few years. Eventually, they may become good friends too if one knows how to handle maturely the situations.
To gain that trust and confident one has to have patience and deal the situations maturely.
If u talk about Asha's character, to me she's the only one character that I would appreciate to the core. Very sensible and matured understanding. I'm liking Asha character more n more.
But again her situation is different...She has supportive family and loving husband thru out her journey.
There's no need to pity both Ishwari and Sona as they both are strong!!!!!
They don't need external supportive system to defend them when people taunt them. They both know how n when to voice their opinion when the situation arises.
Lastly, my best 2 scenes or dialogues i would say which touched my heart so far in KRPKAB are
1. Dev first confession to Sona.
2. Sona's dialogue to Ishwari. "My mom taught me about accepting the new relationships. did u teach same to Dev?". this is my favourite scene\dialogue in entire KRPKAB.
Kudos to cv's and dialogue writers!!!!!!!👏
