Deepa! The TRP jump happened across the board for Sony shows (a 0.2 jump for all the shows in the same week says it is something to do with channel reach than the individual show). I doubt it had anything to do with the melodramatic track taken in KRPKAB.

Sony tv TRPs are always low coz their reach is limited across rural India and KRPKAB does not strike a chord with rural audiences as it is about modern day relationship and hence the highest online ratings.

But, if the cvs are given us this ott melodrama for TRP...it'll mess up the whole thing. Coz their rural reach is limited and it'll be off-putting for the more progressive regular viewers of the show. And I am sure the makers of aware of all this and yet the writing is falling short most of the time (and I had great admiration for their writing team for the longest time).

The cvs are trying to convey the many changes that are happening in the Dixit household and in Dev's life and the changes need to happen (inevitable) but the overtly dramatic scenes that are more about kitchen politics and dumbing down of Dev are seriously annoying and unacceptable.

The progress of plot should not mean regression of characters (as in the case of Dev and Sona to a certain extent too. I am tired of Ish and so am zipping my lips.)

I really hope, the makers will go back to their simpler execution style instead of melodrama.

But the way they keep introducing track after track without resolving a single one...Since Dev-Sona marraige...

1. Neha-Ranveer drama

2. Saurab dada bankruptcy

3. Vicky-Elena

4. Ria-Ayan

And they keep coming without a dam to stem the flow. Four new tracks in 8 weeks, which is, a new track every two weeks but not one sees resolution. I'm guessing they are linking one to the other and to the next and this adds to the already troubling execution of the current tracks.

All this over and above Ishwari's growing insecurities , Dev's regression and Sona's alienation.

What are they doing? I am giving up my endeavour to understand the writing process of this once-intelligent show.

And my mind is in such chaos that I forgot to welcome you back...Really good to see you back here again...

Agree to each & every word you said. I dont know whether its TRP game or irresponsible lazy writing from cv's or makers took viewers of this show for granted. Whatever it is they are messing up with each and every character, except GKB, Asha & Dadi there is not consistency in any of the character. I really need to appreciate Shaheer & his efforts for portraying Dev with full commitment even when his character is getting assassinated brutally.

Till y'day i had lot of Q's but after y'day's episode i got amazing clarity wrt this show. Its season 2 of KRPKAB where Bijoy & Ishwari are the leads, the indirect taunting king & queen. One taunts DIL on each & every possible occasion and the other taunts SIL irrespective of what ever is the occasion. Chulha, Jhoola, Halwa, Ice-cream & Kachori are the other characters in this show. Dev & Sona are the props which can be used based on need to create drama.

Just consider Jhoola track, How amazing it was to see Sona's insensitivity towards Dev's hurt & discomfort but still she didn't got the simple thought of changing the Jhoola position. Wow. How amazing to see Dev giving one more word asusual to Sona that She can change the room as per her wish but its ok since he any way have good track record in breaking promises so cv's can show him insensitive one more time towards Sona's feelings & dreams.

The irony is long back Sona gave similar speech "When kids grow then mothers don't have..." to convince Dev when he wants to stop Ishwari from doing vrat for him. Today the same girl is sitting and listening the similar speech as a taunt from Ishwari. Awesome.

Any way when the smart self-made successful businessman Mr. Dev dixit can become dumb, insensitive & spineless etc then Dr.Sonakshi bose surely can become Gopi bahu part2. But the point here is, how long these actors can keep a hold on their tolerance level if cv's go ahead with the show in the same way. From my understanding, all 3 of them love their work and esp gives value to content while choosing and thats what they were keep on saying from their first IV. The day such people loose connect with what they are doing they will do it like a duty, your work no more becomes your passion when there is no motivation & work satisfaction esp in creative field.

Its definitely TRP Latha because I have seen this pattern...first try testing waters, rush every important tracks, insert new tracks, confusing growth and depletion of original characters, bring jhatka with smooth running tracks for TRP audience, then kill the same essence of original plot eventually killing the serial🥱 I hope this team prove me wrong and stick to their original story..

Now what an understanding of current track 🤣 You should have made this one as main post, subtle sarcasm at its best😆 You are right, must applaud the actors for their commitment inspite of their disappointment and I hope this same commitment binds makers to stick to their original story without swaying towards TRP pressure!

I don't understand TRP either way.

Aptly pointed 😆 TRP is proven to be rigged long back but still TV industry keeps it as a measuring scale of success I have always wondered why the channels can't see the online appreciation and give the makers that space to showcase their product. They very well know the crapfests which are fetching TRPs and wanting such novel ideas like KRPKAB to compete with them is grave injustice IMO.

I will continue to watch no matter what but that craving won't be there if these line of scenes continues yaar. The problem is not the drama but its execution which is totally confusing without any continuity.

Today's episode gave me hope and the scenes went in right direction, lets see how far the CVs have taken our disappointments into consideration.

Very well said dear...I knw CV's are showing the worst to give us the best later bt still i am unable to take this amount of negativity.
All 3 characters whom we loved to the core are butchered so insensitively that I am unable to connect with them. The leads are themselves not convinced with what they are doing so how can the audience be.
I intentionally missed yesterday's episode and was doing absolutely nothing still not for a second thought of having a glimpse of a single scene...I never thought i will ever do that bt the negativity is impacting me personally now, may be we are too attached to the show and can't see it going through this phase. Its always good to take a break from things that is impacting you and give it time to get better.
I am sure it will be back with a bang as usual nd i m waiting for that day.
Also I might skip today's episode as well as the precap was so lovely😉

I won't say this as negativity because I didn't find any normal stupidity of usual Ek type plotting and planning but can say am disappointed with those character assassination. If anything KRPKAB was different was with its simplicity in conversation and solutions but last week everything was dramatized to the extend of jarring our ears and minds .

I agree taking a break might help but I can't as I am habituated to it😆 and todays episode was not bad, I felt it went in right direction after last week's distortion. Sona's reaction tomorrow might reveal whether the serial is going around in circles or started climbing up😳 .

Dev kisiki manega,Maa ki ya Sona ki,Ishwari ab kya bolegi,Sona ab kaise react karegi,Dev Sona kaise patch up karenge and bla bla,I do not feel like watching old episodes also. 😕 The scenes are getting repeated with no character growth but yes one character Neha has also been butchered like anything,she has become a typical Nannad who keep on taunting her Bhabhi and nobody in the family including husband is stopping her .😳 Cvs have actually turned this lovely serial to a typical saas bahu drama especially after last episode, I was literally awestruck by the Ishwari's dialogue" mere bete ko maarna chahti ho" that to Sona,that to nutritionist Sona 🤢 The only thing came in to my mind was may be this is the reason Supriya P is not happy about, I mean these kind of typical dialogues?? Gosh! Now,I am still thinking what they are going to show in today's episode, will I be able to see it?

Its still not too late, because your baby still have that energy left for those ticklish moves which made us all go "bam this is KRPKAB and I am proud to be its fan", so please restore and make it to the finish line with heads held high. We all will be waiting there in standing ovation with thundering applause. Need proof ? See the trophy in your FL's hands given by international and internet audience and Visit your earlier youtube episodes views!! Hope you don't disappoint us CVs, money is easy to earn not Respect !!

@bold- Agree its not too late as it really feels bad to see our favorite show turning in to a typical drama and hope Cvs will focus on story line rather than showing drama only for the sake of TRP.

Exactly I don't blame anyone's tastes..maybe they all are traumatized in their real life so much that they take pleasures in animations and animal planets and OTT dramas😆 All I say to CVs is we have enough of those types, don't turn KRPKAB too into one😳

The same situations and scenes could have been done with so much simplicity without dialogs but just expressions. For e.g.., Ishwari after seeing Dev bathed with cold water, could have started crying subtly but strongly with just gasping whisper "Sona..what have you done?" holding Dev closely and stammering "I shouldn't have left you alone Dev..shouldn't have" ...Even without screaming at Sona, this scene would have created the same impact needed showing Ishwari's deep love and fear at the same time and I would have stood by that mother thick and skin justifying her concern.

I really wish our hopes are brought back alive..Lets wait and watch😊

Ya one of the member notified about this raise for all Sony shows last week...so people forgot to change channel?😆 You know what TRPs will remain the same no matter whatever track they change. I have seen this with my previous show too, the makers tried all extreme BSs to gather TRP because they were given ultimatum by channel but they managed to make only the loyal viewers ran away and couldn't gain any TRP either ultimately leading to bakwaas shutdown. I really hope this show wakes up soon and pleases its cast along with the loyal urban audiences without worrying about TRP pressure and finish it in due course without dragging!

P.S: TRP increased for all Sony TV shows because of the 21 years and Kapil Sharma show promoting all their shows. If they even remotely think it is because of Saas-bahu drama then they will know it tomorrow😃
