I have never heard of cold shower (atleast head bath) when someone has high fever so I will reserve my comments on whether it is right or wrong

Whatever it is the situation is created to garner sympathy for Sonakshi .The stage is set, Dev eat ice cream on his own( so he is spared from bashing today but tomorrow he will be for putting Sona into trouble) so can't blame Sonakshi and if she did the right thing then more reasons for people to sympathize with her .

My son never gets fever anything less than 104... i have seen 105 too..
I think every person is different ..

after reading on internet, I did the same think when my son had 104 fever...

should never give shower when they are already shivering -- shivering is due to fast raising temperature...
once the temperate stabilizes the shivering will reduce - this is the time to give that quick bath with room temp water... (but dont think should pour water on the head)... anyways i am not a doctor.. but this is what i have found when my kid was sick..

Come on yaar Nitu. You are spoiling the fun by guessing everything before hand. Oops any way we are roaming in the same circle again and again right. It became like a open secret now. 😆

nowadays docs suggest that v should not cover kids too much with sweater
heavy blanket when they r having fever. it goes up. they have to be dressed with
normal clothes. also they do suggest baths during fever although many grandmoms may say
no bath during fever or no fan or heavy covering. I think nowadays the practice is changed

yes it has..

actually there are two practices- one is the old one which is ...to keep the room temperature warm so that the patient starts feeling hot and start sweating which will lower his/her body temperature (this my father told me happened when he was small).
and the other one is bathing the patient with cold water(this happens nowadays usually)

both are correct.

The old practice works by making the patient sweat and is not as fast. Internal damage may start if one waits too long. That's why they started the new practice in late 70s.

Also in old days they used to cover the burns but now they tell us to put it under cold water so a blister can form.

Even I was suggested by my doctor that whenever your child is in fever do not cover him with sweaters and quilts as body temperature is already high & advised me to put normal clothes. Sona was right that all the ingredients of kaada where of high taseer and it will eventually increase the body temperature.I have heard that when temp goes 103 or above it is advised to give bath so that temp reduces and one my friends did same with her 3 yrs old son when his temperature went above 103 and his temperature decreased after taking bath.BUT, its better to consult your doctor as they can only advice the best treatment.

Not ice cold, but normal water .
Sponge whole body.

Sponge whole body would be too bold for them to do 😆 😆
