Dev, tum jeeyo hazaron saal.. what an amazing birthday. I think we are coming to the climax of the Ishwari the mother in law's insecurities track. Either today was the start of the closure or we are nearly there. Knowing how this show has always had Ishwari having her last word, today's obnoxious speech may have been the start of the end of that track. A very ugly end. It's ugly because it's unfinished. And that's why I hope we get about 10-12 episodes more where Ishwari openly shares her insecurities and then settles in the new role of a MIL. I am hoping it happens
Okay, so rest of the episode. Today, my team won. Team DEVAKSHI came out stronger today. On Dev's birthday (aka Friday and today) they beautifully dealt with their flaws, their disappointments; their in laws and their parents without letting their marriage get affected. Dev didn't get a chance to intervene between sona and his mother on Friday. Sonakshi didn't intervene when her father was rather loudly giving her husband the last and final piece of the Bose Orientation Program
Dev's birthday was loud. Dev's birthday was ugly. Dev's birthday was dark. Right from the decor(it's only his birthday man!), to Ishwari's saree, to aayan's body language, to the naughty tickles game, to the out of place group hug of the Dixits- this day 25th November 2016 couldn't have been more badly managed. It was all wrong. Even the makers know how glaringly wrong Ishwari's speech is. They are milking it. But also they are making us all go down this roller coaster. That speech was a very powerful act put together by the makers and the talented supriya. That speech had nothing to with Dev's birthday let alone his other 3 siblings. It was all about Ishwari, the mother. 25th November is not the day Dev was born. Its the day Ishwari became mother to a son who will make her proud and she will be dazzled by his success. It was so obviously contradictory of her own behaviour in the past that even the makers know it. That speech was done to make us realise how badly Ishwari is in need of some healing. She doesn't care who is the audience. Now she is screaming from the rooftops and telling the world she is loosing a grip over her son. That speech was a badly timed attempt at showing sona down. But my team again won. Dev hugged his mother while sonakshi smiled and sent him a clear message 'hubby I know you hurt. I am right there by you' . The group hug that followed was forced but hopefully healing will make it better. Ishwari once said that the Diya that lights brightest is the one that gets the most oil. Dev is drained of burning for his mother's sake.
Now Ishwari... so what if your son makes a puppy face and says sorry to his wife. So what if he will eat an ice cream and fall sick.. when 2 people live together that happens. You don't know the things sona can make him do in the privacy of their room. And you don't realise but Sona also burnt her foot because of your son. That happens. They are husband and wife. Stop that ugly eaves dropping
Fertility track - yeah. Sadly it's begun. I had such silly cute expectations of how it will begin. How devakshi will talk about tiny sonakshi and Obodhro and how Dev will keep fumbling and how Sonakshi will keep trying to pin her husband down to make babies. Silly me. This is a serious dark show. Let's first make sonakshi feel guilty for no fault of hers. Let's first make Dev repent for hiding such a big secret. Then we'll make Ishwari's speech flashback make the final blow

Umm that cake fight. Dev, control nahi hota na tumse. You do that ticklish chase in your bedroom and the privacy of your courtyard. Not in a party full of people on your birthday.
