Have got to be the most boring in the world😕 No one can have fun, even a bit of horsing around is frowned upon. Guests sit awkwardly in two rows and have to listen to unbearable, vomit-inducing speeches by the hostess glorifying for the 100th time her sacred and unique relationship with her first born (although he might as well be her only born, for all the importance she gives her daughters). "Mujhe garv hai ki main dev ki maa hoon". No pride in being a mother to your daughters, Ishwari? Way to promote obsession with the male child in an already skewed society.
Full marks to Bijoy for tackling the issue head-on. Now there's a man. Dev and Ish deserved to hear that. Dev will remain a loser forever. So scared that his wife will call his precious mother aunty. What a wuss.

Sona, there ain't no place for you in this twisted mother-son duo. Their love is too sacred and pure for any outsider to come in and taint. You'd better get out as fast as you can and do something worthwhile with your life. Your days are numbered in the dixit household anyway since your chances to become the 'greatest thing in the world- MA', are very low. Again, lovely message going out to society. A woman can have any number of roles but they mean nothing till you become a mother.

This show has officially embarked into regressive material Hall of Fame. As it is in society we have skewed notions of first born son and all that crap when are we ever going to learn or are we??/? that children are children whether male , female first born or tenth?

Wuss is the right word..dont know where they are taking his character but inspiring, likable or even tolerable is not one of them

I knew when they touched upon infertility they are going to get here. This is such a sensitive issue that millions of woman and men face and they butcher it mercilessly in the name of being 'MAA'. I am a mother myself yes the feeling is par none but it is not the be all of existence..when will there be social responsibility in portrayal of sensitive issues?

Thank you😊

I am a mother too. While I am happy to be a mother, another woman might not want to be one . Motherhood isn't for everyone and it certainly isn't some kind of pinnacle of womanhood, and its high time TV shows and movies stop saying that it is.

My question. Was that a party?😕Looked more like a disciplinary school where all students must stand quietly and fun/enjoyment was frowned upon by the cruel headmistress.
The look Ishwari was giving Dev,Sona,Riya & Nikki was as if they are having fun in the middle of a business conference instead of a birthday party. As for the speech,I knew it was coming,I knew it will be unbearable and I skipped it😉After all how can Ishwari skip any occasion to sing praises about her and Dev's "unique" relationship.I am not surprised to read that she ignored her daughters and was proud of her son only. Her love for her daughters only exist in words(just like Dev's promises)and even those words are spoken when Sonakshi enters the equation. They only come as an after thought.

Sonakshi is surely trapped in between their twisted relationship. My advice would be to walk out but since I don't see that happening, she should at least speak up wherever needed instead of forgiving everything.Like her stand on the maa issue made Dev realise his mistake(though I am not sure if he still fully got the point given the look that passed between him and Ishwari and also his internal reasoning).

As for the above-This is something already so ingrained in the mind of a lot of people, that it will be highly irresponsible to give this message through the show. But since the CVs love regressive drama,I think that's exactly what we'll get to see.If not through Dev's thought process, then through Sona/Ishwari/GKB's.As it is,the CVs are giving a very wrong message by glorifying Ishwari& Dev's abnormal relationship and justifying it with sob stories or misplaced religious references.

Seriously..why do they plan any parties..sabki shakal pe barah baje rehte hain and the way Ishwari was looking at them...
Urghhh...what does she want yaar😈

And vo mamta wala dialogue abt being MAA..I am too a mother and o wnjou that feeling bt that doesn't mean that woman who don't want to be one is incomplete. Thats her choice. Our society needs a change by this is a tough one guys...CV's pls bring in a change and again if someone wants to be a mom bt not able to, the ill mentality has to shrink like we heard get your son remarried...and that to asked by a woman..
I tell you the day a woman starts understanding another woman and stop doing these tauntings..that will change many things in the society...

Brilliantly summarized.
Oh the shocking reactions of Dixits when they saw Sona putting cake on Dev's face. Who acts like that? Can't kids have some fun? Ishwari is worse than Hitler.

And the amazing speech! Why was everyone compelled to hear that shit? How many times do we have to listen to the mother-son saga before the show gets over! It's like Ishwari on loop -_-

And women who do not take/get a chance be a mother, have no reason to live in this great world full of mothers. Auch thoughts, much wow!

P.S.- It's important that your first born is a boy, otherwise being a mother makes you nothing but useless.

I was thinking on the same lines. Not allowed to make fun,not allowed to forget shouting, even smiling on birthday😕. Bas baitho baate suno, batao, cake kaato or so jao😕. Did she seriously take a vow to permanently settle the whole family in their past instead of her frequent tours?
Sona really needss to be strong to deal with her future. I hope CVs take it in an inspiring way for the viewers to take something.
But Bijoy baba is terrific! He stole the show. He is really a father figure to Dev. Dev needs the fatherly treatment now and bijoy is not leaving a stone upturned.😃

I am waiting for the day Dev completely changes to the man he is.

@Bold.. I dont think that CVs love regressive drama or giving wrong message. It is like first showing what is wrong or what many people think regarding woman and motherhood and daughter in laws. Then they are going to show that how we should actually look at woman and motherhood and daughter in laws.

Since the beginning of the series, Ishwari has carefully masked herself as a great mother and has not let anyone know all her insecurities or her real thoughts. But then she never felt threatened of her position till Dev fell in love. What Ishwari is seeing is that Dev loves Sonakshi a lot, that he will go to great lengths to keep her happy. Ishwari is no longer unique to Dev in sharing his love. She fears what if Dev's love for Sonakshi surpasses his love for her. She is not ready to share that.

Now Ishwari has started to lose control of her emotions in a way that her mask is coming off. She is no longer able to maintain that she is ok with sharing that love and attention or that she acknowledges her son as grown. Her facade is breaking. Soon all her delusions and insecurities will come to forefront. This has to come out for both Dev and Ishwari to realize their errors or what exactly they have been doing. Right now neither Ishwari nor Dev feel there is anything wrong in their relationship.

Only when the insecurity reaches the limit, the CVs can show realization and redemption for both Ishwari and Dev. This time Dev will probably confront Ishwari without alcohol. Prenup will play a big role as that shows that Ishwari does not trust Dev. It is not about trusting Sonakshi at all. I mean even if Sonakshi leaves Dev, IShwari should have had trust in Dev whom she tells is her everything.

This track will probably go for a week or two depending on CVs. This is just my guess based on the serial so far. I mean they showed breakup track for 4 weeks approximately..

Just my POV and guessing...😊

The thing is that instead of accumulating every wrong and resolving it in the end, there should be some issues where the right thing should be shown in the first place to create a balance.Because if they continue showing only wrongs many viewers will(& have) lose interest and would feel disconnected. We already see the wrongs in our everyday life,so showing something progressive will automatically create a contrast and give a message as to how we should look at women/DIL.I know the Bose family has exactly that role but it would be good to see character growth now as well instead of only towards the end even in Dixit family.

I agree with the above except I don't know whether Ishwari or Dev will themselves be able to realise the error of their ways.

I shudder to think of the limit the CV's intend to reach.Frankly, for me Ishwari crossed the levels of insecurity long time back.I can't term it as simple insecurity now.At this point I do feel that either Dev or Sona should have begun to understand Ishwari's issues.Yes,the prenup indicates Ishwari's lack of faith & trust in Dev despite everything he does.

I only hope we get to see some highs soon instead of further lows.
