What is the significance of the mouse chase?

Cvs of this show hardly add fillers .. Did anyone understand the significance of that mouse chase in bose family? Of so pls explain

I think it was to show the contrast between Ishwari's rememberences of childhood memories related to Dev vs Asha's rememberences of Sonakshi's childhood memories.

When Ishwari took out all those toys of Dev, she wanted to see how much Dev remembered about them.

But when Asha showed Sonakshi's dress, she actually wanted Sonakshi's daughter to wear it one day. I mean she wished that. In the scene they showed that the rat had chewed that dress. Asha was sad, but she did not dwell on it.

Ishwari does not look beyond Dev and for Asha it is about future.

This is what I think...

I feel it spoilt sona's dress so they wanted to chase it off and they did it...anyone who trys to do any harm to sona they all wil join hands...may be iam over thinking 😆 sorry
