When Ishwari took out all those toys of Dev, she wanted to see how much Dev remembered about them.

But when Asha showed Sonakshi's dress, she actually wanted Sonakshi's daughter to wear it one day. I mean she wished that. In the scene they showed that the rat had chewed that dress. Asha was sad, but she did not dwell on it.

Ishwari does not look beyond Dev and for Asha it is about future.

This is what I think...

I really like this thought... i was sure there must be some meaning .. never seen CVs just show a scene with out any significance.

My interpretation

The mouse is Dev Dixit in the life of Sona. The mouse which invaded the Bose Home chewed all of Sona's dreams and Asha's and Bijoy's . A mouse which was fed by Elena and others but in the end Sona pardoned it and Saurabh let it loose outside
Just like Sona will pardon Dev because she is the epitome of what a 'NEW AGE' NAARI should be BECAUSE after all a Mouse however cute is also called a Rat! and that is what Dev Dixit is !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Let me puke first!

I think it was a couple of things. Like you said, it better to look in the future. Most parents look forward to seeing their grandchildren grow up. But this lady cant let go of her past

I also think it was shown to depict team work

or may be just a filler.
