i don't know who are the intended audience of this show!
1. They have offended young, independent audience by showing the regressive theme post marriage.
2. They have offended TRP aunties by showing creepy mother son relationship. Totally pukeworthy from everybody actually.
3. In general, People don't want to watch this much negativity and scheming for small things like sitting in the front seat of the car etc. there are bigger problems in the world.

I think this is why the TRP is so low !

Sorry dear... But what i feel is they are showing some close to reality scenario in the show.. It's true that sometimes it gets stressful. But is not at all regressive... Because the intend of the makers is to show the solution to these problems... Now we'll get to see how will DevAkshi solve the problems they are facing post marriage.
And most of the couples do face a lot of problems after wedding, in terms of adjustments and all.

Not sure about the TRP way of seeing things.. But whoever is watching the show, hope we do our part to the society.. Though I am not watching I love coming to the forum and reading out posts and writing my response wherever I feel like.. Especially to see what's being perceived as right and wrong.. If every character is right from their perspective then nothing needs to be changed right.. Just be the same and go on whatever one has been doing, right.. 😉

Everyone of us have our share of reasons to support Ishwari, Dev and Sonakshi... May be some of us are already playing or dealing with these roles in our life and are taking it very personal such that we love being in that role or handling such roles... That's fine and to each their own life and their way of living... No say or interference in that...😃

But if the few of us see wrong with the ways these Characters are behaving then let's just hope that we don't become potential Ishwaris, Devs and Sonas ourselves😆.. At least that way we will not get to see makers making such tele soaps even after decades🤣.. Also let's stop bringing up Devs and Sonas in our children, at least. Hope the next generation gets to see what they could become and stop such things happening to them as well.. Be it the Devs or the Sonas out there😉.. Couples fighting between themselves due to personality clash is fine. But couples fighting because of their parents' personality clashes and interference.. So not done...

And if we are already one of these characters and if we see ourselves not being right, then great.. Let's stop being them... It's never too late anyway...👏

And if we are already one of these three characters and we don't see anything wrong in being one and feel nothing needs to be changed in us, then the makers must be glad.. For showing the reality and can be happy running the show for years down the line with no need for any changes in the society around these characters...😉👏

So true... you know I mentioned in one of Tia's earlier posts, how I used to behave like Sonakshi post marriage, but lo and behold, my MIL (who btw is uneducated) and husband(who btw is in an arranged marriage relationship with me) jolted me and said... we like you like you.. stop changing and just have fun... 😆 And I wrote in Tia's post that I thought I am so lucky.
But u get the irony, no one should be expected to change. But since time immemorial women are expected to change and hence it is totally normal to put up with jerk attitudes of husband, in-laws, etc.
So what I should expect as my right, I actually felt it is a special blessing.
this thought needs to go.. and I'll make sure that I do not raise an over accommodating Sona 😉

Honestly people have love hate relation with makers. The intended audience is actually everybody to teenagers to college going girls, to unmarried girls to the would be married ones, women who have gone through this and r still going through. To insecure mils to fun loving mils, to even sons
All of them love the show for different reasons whether its relativity, for future cautiousness, for good story,or only for Shaheer and Erica.
But hate is also not away when these audience don't get for what they r watching the show whether not enough lovey dovey scene bt devakshi or too much mil drama.
The asha maa fiasco pissed modern people but aunties who watch it may be happy that dev is such a maa bhakt
At the end of the day its all about perspective

Thanks baijubavra for bringing up a valid question.

Push-pull, You could not have wrote a more appropriate response. If this is reality, then instead of defending it, we should try hard to change it so that in future, it becomes a fiction.

Let's do our part and not be or raise another Dev, Ishwari or Sonakshi in future. Let's make our children independent, our sons considerate to all women and not take their wife for granted and our daughters to never put up with insult or injustice for the sake of social norms.

Don't know what would be the scenes with people like the follows:

Young mothers of boys - They might love to up-bring sons like Dev, wanting them to be dedicated and committed to them?
Young mothers of girls - Would they be happy seeing their daughters go through situations like Sona asking them to adjust because it's the society norm?😲

Girls with mothers like Ishwari and brothers like Dev - They might hate the girl coming into their home troubling their mother and brother bonding?!
Boy with mothers like Ishwari - Enjoy being pampered by the mother and wife, as and when need be... And just sideline with the other whenever trouble pops with one of them?! 🤪

Girls like Sona - Try, try and try until you succeed?! 😉

CVs seems confused. at first it was for young adults like us but after marriage i dont know who they are targeting. maybe the daughter in laws because i normally see a lot of DILs speaking about how relatable this show regarding the MIL issues.
