Today's episode is another lesson in attitude towards Damad & Bahu!!!

I was watching the episode and was thinking what makes the mother of a son think that she is the Queen mother and she will reign in her son's life as long as she lives but the same doesn't apply to the mother of daughters?

It's of course society which treats the mother of the son like she has climbed Mount Everest and put her stamp/flag first so no one else can have a bigger claim. Yet, the same society treats the mother of the daughter as if she should prepare herself to let go of her daughter one day because someone else is waiting for her with their stamp/flag to be claimed later.

Funnily though, it's mostly women who think there is absolutely nothing wrong with that thought. If they have been victim of unfairness, then by God, they will not spare any woman.

Ishwari, the less I say about her the better. I am just glad that Dev and Sona is sorting out their differences at the street or at least took their fight to Bose house (That's one good deed you did by sending Sona away). Because had they chose Dixit house as their sort out location, you'd have ruined your son's marriage with your interference just like you did with your daughter's marriage.

Moving on to Dev and Sona. Dev tried hard to make Sona understand which led him get into trouble.

Sona, you had legitimate complaint. But I didn't like how you dealt with it. You could have told Dev what is in your mind first and then by all means, if he refuses to listen or understand, then you stop talking. But roaming on the street of Delhi at night as if it's your parents' bedroom while Dev is following you at 2 a.m. is not a sensible way to handle a situation.

You got away with minor issue with regular people. But both of you could have got into bigger trouble which would have made your own father question his trust on your intellect like I am wondering.

However, you finally talked to Dev and I'd have rather watched it first than CVs piling up footage to stretch the episode.

But what Sona said? BANG ON, girl!!!

You really showed Dev what it really felt as outsider. I am not writing dialogues because every sentence that you said were what I was saying you should say.

Today you understood the power of OPEN COMMUNICATION. Nothing solves problem faster than open and honest talk. The problem should come if the other party is not willing to listen or understand, not before.

They sorted out their trouble (why they had to do it all night on the street is beyond me) and go back to Bose house, happy and satisfied.

Funny how Ishwari got angry over her precious child being treated the way they treated their own son-in-law or Jamai (not to mention insulted him along with threw him out of their own house). The only difference is that they kept their daughter in and only the outsider went and it was not 2 a.m. at night.

And Radha's lecture on Son-in-law's dignity and his treatment is as laughable as ever considering how she treated Ranveer.

Anyways, Ishwari got fuelled by Radha with her already sense of entitlement of "Dixit deserves better than others" and headed to Bose house where a happier Dev and super happy Sona are having breakfast with even happier Bose family.

Precap: Ishwari forcing herself again in the front seat of Dev's car. It's not that big a deal, but it's a matter of attitude. A wife's place is always beside her husband. Not behind, not ahead. But Ishwari unfortunately wants to keep her own place and also take over Sona's.

P.S. Because sometimes I share titbits of my own experience, I have one of them that happened with my own mom-in-law.

When I first got married, my mom-in-law asked me if my own mother would mind if I call her Mom.

Keep in mind, at that time my brother-in-law was married and his wife refused to call her mom saying she already has one.

I also knew because my husband stayed unmarried for so long, she might be also feeling a little worried to see her son whom she had all to herself for so long calling my mother mom and this was her own way to find out how my mother is taking it so that she can think about her own feelings.

So I told her that my mother is very happy that now I have another sets of parents. And just so there is no confusion, we will call her Mom and my mother, Maa. That way, they will each be special and unique for us.

That took away her worry and even today, my husband and I call my mother, Maa and my mom-in-law, Mom. They are both loved and cherished by us equally.

My husband had a fight with his Mom since then, but I never did. Because we both ensured that we never brought our own issues to my husband. I treated Mom like my mother and approached her with the same honesty and right that I go to my own mother with and she reciprocated.

But then again, Mom knew that I will be life partner to my husband from now on. So she never tried to take my place, nor I tried to take hers. That's consideration and respect for each other. She probably didn't fall in love with me on the first day. But she never let me know through her behaviour or attitude that I am not loved or wanted.

And no. I don't consider myself lucky. And if I am, then my husband is equally lucky for having the same treatment from my mother.

But instead we consider ourselves as someone who gives and receives fair treatment because we refuse to accept any less or more than the other.

Sounds like a deal? May be it is. But it's a fair one. I would never get into an unfair arrangement. And whoever tells you to get into an unfair arrangement for love/tradition/culture/social norms, ask them if they will be willing to get into an unfair situation for the same reasons. Trust me, in the long run, it's not as satisfying as they make it sound.

EDITED: Today Dev learned the biggest lesson a married person can learn.

If the spouse is happy (whether husband or wife), then you can be happy. You can't live happily if you don't make sure your spouse is also happy.

Happy husband and wife = happy life.

Pal bhar ka nehin, yeh umar bhar ka rishta hain.

Thank you. Yes, Radha's lecture was so inappropriate coming from her that I was surprised no one pointed it out. But then Mama never speaks on point and Ishwari is forever delusional.

Yes, you are right about the seat. In award function, Sona was not a wife or a girlfriend. But now she is the wife, so a mother should let her have her own place. When my mom-in-law visits us, she does the same. But Ishwari always think every space in Dev's life belongs to her.

Mark my words, if Dev had given even Radha or Neha more importance, she will turn against them as well.

The problem with insecurity is that the more you indulge or ignore it, they more it gets out of hand. That approach has not worked so far fixing the issue, has it? So now it's time to fix it. I won't have said that it needs fixing if she kept it to herself. But here she is making life difficult for both Dev and Sona.

Dev might choose to put up with that, why should Sona when it's her position, her rights are being taken away. And it's not even a temporary issue.

Nope. It's not fair for any woman. Even Ishwari would sing a different tune if it was her daughter.

You know there is saying women worst enemy is women herself I NEVER believed in this funda,But this is the harsh reality of our society full of double standard and hypocrites. today sona acted very immature ,she could have landed herself trouble for it.but dev handled it perfectly , Best part of today's episode was Dev acting like sona's friend .I am so happy when sona put her problems and frustration before dev . He was calmly assuring her without any presumption .This should happen in balanced and healthy relationship, one way compromise is always lead to toxic .Now it's sona turn to learn about her mistake that is not sharing Dada news with dev. Both should work as a team right now. P.s Dev ab wapas waise galti nahi karega .

Today Dev acted as a husband should when his wife is behaving unreasonably and needs understanding. Sona tried to understand him and his family for very long time. Today it's his turn.

Isn't it strange that when Dev is not at Dixit house, he couldn't be more supportive and loving towards Sona. But it seems Dixit house's poisonous atmosphere changes everyone. One whiff of that toxic air and he turns into unreasonable Dev from sweet and caring Dev.

I also liked how Dev patiently asked the right questions and listened to her. Again as I said, communication is very important for any relationship. If you don't speak out, you will never be heard.

Sona could have done it before the tantrum though. But I guess she is due one.

And I agree, Sona should come clean about Dada and Dev should come clean about the medical report.

Yup that is beauty of relationship ,when your partner is falling ,then you should there to pick him/her up.

One whiff of that toxic air and he turns into unreasonable Dev from sweet and caring Dev. He should just stay in Bose family .Dixits seems like black hole star who will suck your whole energy.

Yup I liked that dialogue that ,tumhare man main jo bhi hain bol do , I am not going to leave you. Ab Bus actions main bhi prove kardo.

EK time toh Banta Hain ,tantrums after facing all humiliations from his family and lack of support .she needed to do this.

DADA issue is external ,woh bhi solve ho jayega but That medical report secret is huge and is going to backfire on dev badly.Because this medical report is about her ,her body ,her choice that dev didn't gave her,He chose easy way out by not telling her and prenup one also going to blowup sonakshi. That will be true test for both of them

Dada issue has been solved already. Ab sirf batana hain. But medical report and pre-nup is hanging like an axe over Dev's head. I am worried that it may fall anytime. Dev khud bol deta hain to phir bhi thik hain. Lekin agar Vicky or Radha ke haath lag gayee, to woh log baat ko kidhar se kidhar le jayenge woh to hum sabko pata hain.

Aur tab Sona kaise deal karegi iss problem se, I don't know. She might have more difficulty to forgive Dev considering she is a doctor and that comes with certain ethics and moral code. Not to mention, if Radha humiliates her, it will become even a matter of self-respect.
