Due to the financial condition the Dixit family was in after the death of Neha's father. Ishwari used to work and Neha had to stay at home to look after Nikki and Riya. She couldn't study as Ishwari could only afford to educate any one of Dev and Neha.

Neha had to sacrifice her schooling as Ishwari could not afford sending two kids to school , Neha had to take care of her two younger sisters
but she always saw Ishwari loving and caring for Dev only she did not get her share of love from her mother
