Most of the time after watching the episode , I'l be thinking about the good moments of DevAkshi ... But today I'm not able to get it out of my head ,the look on Neha's face outside DevAkshi's room ... My thoughts keep on coming back to that scene ... Her eyes are very haunting ... They had a tint of jealousy , despair , yearning for that happiness ...

Who else other than her knows about sacrifices ... We all feel bad for Dev for sacrificing his own happiness for family or Sona's dreams being crushed in there , but didn't Neha felt it in her whole life , didn't it fill her heart with full of darkness , and bitterness ... How does it feel to be ignored in all your life , or treated as second class citizen , and even after giving up yourselves , you are rewarded with nothing , while someone who had done the same is given all the credit ...

When Ranveer fell in love with her , he didn't fall for a beautiful, rich girl with a heart of gold ... But he fell for a girl who had the courage to take charge of her life , who didn't believe in fairy tales, who has seen the worst life offered , unlike other girls who are scared of trivial things like cockroaches or darkness , her worst fear was seeing the days of her past again ... He could see the hurt soul beyond the rough mask she put on and wanted to give her all the happiness she deserved ...

And his love indeed changed her , if not completely ... The same girl who despised the idea of having kids , spent her first night with Ranveer's nephew and niece ... The same girl who was not satisfied even with the best room in the house , was ready to change her saree in the bath room in the hall way of her husband's crowded house , girl who was rudely insisting for a separate a/c for her own room was ready to put up with old fan in her room ... Just like Sona she was also fighting the odds and trying to fit into the place ... Just like Dev , Ranveer also took his own frustrations on her sometimes ... She tried hard until Ranveer took a unilateral decision of giving up their house for his family /mom knowing Neha will not be happy for it .. There was the first crack in their relationship ...

When she revealed her love for Ranveer for the first time , there was a question in Dev's mind that disturbed him ... " Is love enough for being happy " , and as it turned out ,it is not !!!!! She was not ready to give up her happiness again and was not ready to sacrifice yet again ... But if she felt suffocated in Ranveer's house , its more throttling in her own house , she knew she was being judged for her selfishness , even if they are not showing she is seeing the "I told you so's " in their eyes , she wanted to prove them wrong when she fighted for her love , but she is now feeling like she failed herself miserably , and worst of all amidst all this she is witnessing the newly wedded couple's lives which she fancied for herself .. ... Her words"Nothing had changed , from my childhood I was looking at happiness from outside , it was never mine ... " had all her pain ... Once again she is seeing her brother having it all, when she is at the loser end ...

The worst part of all this is getting caught up in the middle like Dev ... Being in the receiving end of his mother's special love , he is indebted to her for his whole life , at the same time he had to carry the burden of guilt of getting the share of love his siblings deserved , for scars that left in them ... Only thing he thinks, he is left to do is to make up for what they lost , even if it means giving up his happiness . Tricky part is now his decisions impact someone else's happiness too ...

We can see lots of similar situations the couples faced, whether its lack of privacy for them, or ego getting the best of them , or trying to fit into the unfamiliar territory , we can also see more or less the root cause of the fights being the same , when Neha took the decision of not compromising her happiness , I'm really curious to see how Sona is going to react to the same situation ...

Being a potter-head , I want to quote one of my favorite character Sirius Black's quote

"We've all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That's who we really are."

As Ishwari told her once nobody can make you happy, only you can find it yourself ... I am looking forward for the journey in which both Sona and Neha find their happiness, learning from each other ... I want that scars of past to fade , let love find its way and be the light to that darkness in her heart ...

PS: I'm happy with the changes in the DevAkshi's room like marriage pictures on the wall . but can Sona change that blue bed sheet , which is there from break-up ... It reminds me of the countless times Dev cried on it ... 😭😭😭

agree with you. i have no issues with neha or her pain or her behavior cause of the past. my problem is with the mother who uses her kids to get what she wants. neha is in the place she is... becuase of only one person.. Ishwari Dicit. ishwari is a bad mother and continues to do same things. unless Ishari realizes what she is doing or treated for her mental illnesses, none of the Dixit children will ever be at peace and happy.

this is not and should notbe Sona's battle. this should be dicit kids battle to find their own happiness.

Ishwari badly needs help , her issues are beyond insecurity , its getting clear by each day ... She is finding ways to project her issues to someone else as means of coping mechanism ... I hope Sona realizes her issues soon and find a way to help her !!!

@BOLD - interesting that you bring this up. it also explains why we as people exhibit different responses to the same situations based on our moods..

we also very casually call some one a lunatic if his / her behaviour is inconsistent and bizzare but the fact remains that we are all lunatics in some way or the other depending on which side of us we display, the dark or the light. One wise crack, i met the other day, said there is inconsistency in human behaviour based on the lunar calendar..,, and that the dark and light has got to do with the solar / lunar systems of day / night and this is the genesis to the word lunatics!! 😊😊 Maybe there is an element of truth in this wisecrack...

I loved your analysis! I feel like Neha and Dev both sacrificed in their own manner. A lot of people are saying she is Ishwari's daughter attitude-wise. But I disagree. In a way, she herself is a victim. For example the Neha we see with Nikki and Riya, seems like her true persona. Due to their poverty she had sacrifice to allow Dev to study. I think originally she might have been upset but would have understood their predicament, but as time went on, because of her age she started to think that it was only her who sacrifice and turned bitter, case in point: childhood Neha chores flashback. To her every saree, pencil and doll mattered as in her age she wasn't provided that. Not getting something hurts, but watching what you wanted given to someone else later is the most painful. In a way Ishwari emotionally manipulated all the characters, we see Dev as she is most possessive, but all characters are in the same situation just in different ways.

While I acknowledge the feelings of Neha and I can understand why she is so bitter, I can't look past 2 of her actions today.
In the hall when Dev was showing them the shopping, she could have faked a smile. Just like she was trying to fit in Ranvir's house, just like Sona is trying to fit in Dev's house... neha could have attempted to make some space for her bhai bhabhi's happiness. Or at the very least she could have stayed in her room and not sulked so openly. To me this isn't about the honeymoon. It's all about the happiness of her brother. The brother who like I said in my other thread, is ready to give an arm and a leg for Neha's happiness.

And second was the way she brought her happiness' topic with Ishwari. Come on neha. You know your mother. Where is the neha who was the first one to identify that your mother will not be able to let your brother hold someone's hand? Where is the neha who showed her brother what love feels like?

Life has been unfair to Dev and Neha both. They both have deep scars. Neha of all people should have understood what love can do to Dev. She herself saw how love changed her. I found her quite selfish and dismissive of her own brother's feelings today

Another thing is, has she apologised to Sona for her behaviour that day when Sona came to her room to talk?

I kind off agree with you with Neha's situation. But isn't it the life which she choose for herself. She wanted to marry Ranveer, inspite of knowing that he is not rich. She wanted Dev to get him a good job, Ranveer accepted it. She even went to his place before marriage and look at the conditions in which they were living. She got married on her dictated terms. Yes i agree she tried to adjust with ranveer and his family, but she failed. She failed herself and ranveer also. Doesn't she ruined ranveer's life in all this. Whatever scenes we have seen of ranveer's family, they were adjusting sort of people.
Agreed that she is sad, unhappy and doesn't want to compromise with her needs again. She had a tough life throughout and that scars are not yet wiped off. From day one nobody has taunted Neha for coming back home. If she herself cannot stand by her decision then how can anyone else support her.

Myself being a potter- head, would like to mention Albus Dumbledore quote "its our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities" Neha choose this life for herself and instead of blaming her fate and others, she should focus on her actions now. She is no more little girl who felt helpless when her brother was sent to school, while she was baby sitting her sisters. She is a mature girl now and that is what her mother should tell her.

Agree wid u on neha's part ...
Ishwari loved dev more dan her daughters ...[i m still alien to ishwari's definition of love ) but nowhere it was dev's fault ...so y shud he pay for it by sacrificibg his own happiness time n again ...it was ishwari's fault n rather dan rectifyong herzelf she is hell bent on comotting mistakes again n again ...neha n dev lost deir childhood in one way or other to circumstances n now ishwari is snaching deir present in her insecurities n obsession

Really ? That is one interesting thing which I'm never heard of , thanks for sharing it ,but I'm not sure how much impact it can have on our personalities though !!!! IMO evenif we may react to situation differently , a lot of our traits , comes from our past ... If you observe all Dixits , you can see the most complex characters are Ishwari, Neha n Dev who are still caged in the past , where as Riya who had some understanding of what her family went through but havent witnessed enough to give it a scar for her , turned out to be very sensible , and Nikki who in her opinion got everything from her brother even when she thought about it in her mind , turned out to be the jovial, happy-go lucky type !!!! I'm not saying all of it depends on the living situations but it would contribute a lot !!! Did I make any sense or am I being a lunatic now 😆

Thank you !!! @Bold rightly said !!! She is no saint , and she is ought to feel jealousy , and we cant blame her if she thinks she is reliving the past !!!
