A bang on post and some amazing replies. Like sia.krpkab pointed out very correctly, the driver has a hero complex and thinks he and he alone is fir to drive the bus. The solution given by her also makes a lot of sense. The new passenger should sit on the driver's lap and together they can drive the bus. But we all know what will follow. The older passenger will throw a fit and gobble up sleeping pills again and as soon as the bus driver realises what the older passenger has done he will lose control of the bus thereby killing(metaphorically or literally, I really can't say) all three of them.
The only way out of this that I can see is the new passenger realising the unhealthy equation between the driver and the old passenger and taking a firm decision whether she can deal with this shit or just jump out or the bus, albeit with some bruises, but with her dignity still intact.
I had said this once before, I would like to repeat it today.Sonakshi has always been in love with the idea of love. But, Love does not conquer all. It conquers some things. But the other things, they kick the living crap out of love. I don't want Sonakshi to realise this the hard way.
It's easy to fall in love. But it's not easy to stay in love, specially with a person who makes tall promises when things are rosy and then panics and makes monumentally bad decisions as soon as things go wrong. Having a crazy mother in law doesn't help either.

Thanks Ann. That was actually my first suggestion during break up. But to ask for help, one needs to recognise it first and Dev thinks his passenger is perfectly normal. Excuses doesn't fix problem, it just delays the solution.

I like your post as usual, Tia. You know what the only solution I see now is for the driver to drop the old passenger to one of the psychotherapist for a treatment. She is getting out of hand.

You know what is more scary than a crazy mother-in-law? Oblivious husband. Now that's a bigger booby trap than anything else.

Exactly my point. Having a crazy MIL won't help matters. But the problem lies between Dev and Sonakshi themselves. A wife can deal witj the craziest mother in law if she has a supporting husband who stands. by his words and proves by his actions that noone can treat his wife like shit and get away with it. Dev did that on the day after his wedding when he answered those pesky relatives. And we all saw how Sonakshi owned GKB after the assurance that her husband is by her side. He needs to start doing it with the members of his own family otherwise the only option left for Sonakshi would be the one I mentioned in my previous reply.
