Completely agree .TRP is very important for the show to survive.AT the end of the day its money which matters .The whole TRP system is flawed .Today world is ruled by whatsapp, facebook , twitter and how could one ignore online viewing and international viewers .

Every article i read says KRPRAB is a successful show but why suddenly we see everyone talking about Cvs changing the story , makers are confused .Am i missing anything here ?😕

I think by now most of you may have known that I am a big Shaheer fan. I have no other hero after whom I can swear life long loyalty. It is only Shaheer for me. I want his show to be one among the best. Like Navya like Mahabharat. But alas! It did not happen.

I was one among the millions who fell for Anant. I was one among zillions who became obsessed with Arjun. Now I love Dev Dikshit as fiercely as I loved Anant Arjun if not more. And I could not digest why KRPK can not enter the TRP charts as a winner.

Not just this show but many other good shows have failed to garner TRP .TV world is ruled by pathetic shows which makes no sense .

On this lazy Sunday night I tried to guess the reasons for KRPK"s lack lustre performance TRP wise.

I found the answers that I present here with a heavy heart. I don't assume every one to agree with me on this. I welcome if some one felt may be these are the reasons.

1 As we all know first reason is Sony TV only. Sony used to have a respectable viewership in the days of Kkusum,Jassi Jaisi Koinahi and Kutumb. Later it lost the loyal viewers because of switching towards shows like Crime Petrol,CID etc. But still Sony tried to present different shows that are unconventional in approach. on the whole it failed to get the confidence of Indian viewers who mostly comprise of women and younger lot.

Sony is still facing issue with viewership and all the above shows you mentioned were no different than the shows which rule today's TV world .They lost the plot long back and became typical saas bahu shows .Kutumb can be an exception but that was long back and the market was different then

2 The initial promos of Kuch Rang promised a different story with a novel approach.Elite people especially got curious and expected a path breaking fare though it involved a mother,son and wife.

But reality is something else. The show that looked so fresh in the begining slipped downhill. Predictable Saas Bahu scenes mixed with too many issues happening at the same time made the show boring and run of the mill kind.People started losing interest Result? Many people stopped watching unable to cope up with the sequences of the show.

The TRP has always been constant for this show .I dont think it lost it viewers .I can still see each episode crossing 2m views in youtube .I have never seen so much views for any other Sony show .

Regrading the show turning out to be like Saas Bahu.I have a different view .This show was all about MIL,DIL and son and till now makers have not followed the typical approach .

3 The large group of MBH admirers and Navya followers did not lap up the show for different reasons. While the Forum pledged undaunted support to the show the Twitter crowd and Face Book people expressed their dissatisfaction towards the show.Ofcourse there are staunch supporters of the show on Twitter and Face Book but the verdict is devided.

I am not in twitter and FB so no idea whats happening there .Are people not happy with the track ?😕

Someone told me Twitter is more positive than this forum .

What is the reason MBH and Navya fans avoided this serial ?Maybe Shaheer lost his fan base in India as he was busy with Indonesian shows .

4 The Break up and Patch up did not work in sink with the initial promos.

Definitely !! Agree with you .I still cannot relate the breakup phase with the initial promos .Dev behaving like a stalker ,Dev ki Deewangi , Sona's moving on drama is not what i expected from this show .

Initial promo promised a mutual breakup and a sensible leads who stood by each other even after breakup .They were ready to go against society norms to be with each other .Seeing the initial promos i thought marriage would never happen in this show and they might show live in relationship or something on those lines.

Another thing which went wrong is how Devakshi relationship was portrayed after confession .People of their age would have romanced differently but they took the teenage romance kind .It felt like two teenagers romancing and definitely not like two mature adults in late 20s.

5 The Pre Nep is handled without conviction and authenticity.

I would like to wait and see how thet handle this .

6 Normal audience found the show confusing as too many things are being thrown at them before they could swallow one thing properly.Neha issue,Vicky issue,Nav Ratri so many negatives at one time left a sour taste .

Yes , the pace of the serial has been an issue but at times its a blessing too .Had it been other serial Ritwick track would have been dragged for months .

7 Once if the people did not get habituated to watching a show they will never try again to give it a try. The initial response TRP wise is very important. Even if the show falls down again it will pick up.Saath Nibhana Sathiya was a big hit initially then it climbed down again it picked up and continues its winning run.Moral of the story is if the remote got used to that channel and that number it will generally stick up to it though skips in between.

This show is much better than SNS but i would blame the audience for deciding to watch a show lie SNS over a sensible show like this .

Drop outs became more in number rather than new audience.

Whatever it is I feel bad. Shaheer's show is not liked by Indian audience that fact itself breaks my heart.But can't help it either.

@bold Why do you feel so dear 😕.He is been praised for his performance and the show is being appreciated by many .

So very true!! I decided to watch this show after seeing those three initial promos...never missed an episode till sometime back..I even got my husband and friends interested in this show. We all used to watch on TV and then discuss about it . And too much negativity..Shaheer and Erica are too good when it comes to handling emotional tracks too. It kind of affects your mind. Makers should understand they are showing it at a prime time , people also want to relax so its imp to balance the episode . After we watch it ...we feel really bad and it kind of stays in your mind...so its affecting you in a bad way and that is the reason why even the loyal fans are dropping out.

These days I read the review thats all because I feel so bad the way Sona is been trated ..above all him not supporting her in front of his family makes me feel so bad...initial episodes were beautifully balanced unlike the current ones.

Somewhere i think cv's were successful in showing their screen chemistry but the passion (in the eyes) was missing.
viewers ,i guess ,Devakshi ke first dance se attract hue the...but i never got to see the same chemistry between the two again.
for me separation track was the best.Patch toh samajh hi nahi aaya ki was that dev sona patch up or sona ishwari patchup?
nw i have stopped watching the repeats .

Why Sony serials don't get trp????? When they present sensible shows mostly.

Also I want to ask is it true that Mahabharata and navya fans don't watch this show???????? But why??????

Also edkv fans must have left the show this week as their show ended this week and trp is stagnant since then.

Is it becoz people want to watch Ott drama and supernatural trash???????

Or major audience is young hence they watch it online ???????

All in all this show is not getting as much trp as it should

Be logical... They r moving thier show.before marriage, their relation is different and now after marriage, their relation has changed... She is someone's Bhau also along with wife.
And, what r u expecting that they would show whole story in initial promos, they show in promo that they have been separated due to her mother as his mother doesn't like thier their relationship.
They still showing that in episode also that ishwari is not happy.
Promos r made to show some glimpse and understand the story or plot of show... It doesn't mean they show devakshi have breakup on restaurant, so they have to show that in episode too. Makers r moving towards their main plot.
Shaheer and supriya mam also said in an interview during show launch, that serial will show the journey of dev and sona love story and about insecure mother and how she will become good mother in law from insecure mother. And that's what makers r trying to show.
So, before becoming good saas, they will also show her role of bad saas also
I think many fans doesn't know the main plot of show.
They r assuming this show as love story of dev sona only but forgotten that ishwari is also main lead of show.

These days TRPs are not garnered by shows with good content and that's the fact.

But what i know about these TRPs is. A large number of TRP audience are the ones who love to watch Regressive shows, super naturals, kitchen politics and a lot of OTT drama. Thank God KRPKAB is not in this category. Atleast for me.

If Kitchen politics can gain TRP why didn't our show get the numbers when the post marriage track is OTT drama and filled with kitchen politics?

I want TRPs for a Shaheer show. The makers changed tracks post marriage whether you agree or not.Atleast the reward should be good TRPs and a place in TOP10 But that did not happen.
