Part 2

Arriving at the hospital five minutes late, Sonakshi parked her scooty in a great hurry and ran up the stairs to her chamber two at a time. Her patients must have been waiting for quite some time now. Sonakshi was angry at herself. She hated keeping her patients waiting.

"Kya karti rehti hai Sona. Matha Kharap tomar. Uss Dev ko dekhtey dekhtey time hi bhul gayi" she scolded herself. Remembering Dev she got momentarily distracted again. He refused to get out of her mind. Wondering when she would see him again, she began walking towards her chamber and ran head first into Dr. Sinha, her boss.

"Arey Dr. Sinha, I'm so sorry. Maine aapko dekha hi nahin!" Sona apologised quickly while mentally kicking herself for thinking about Dev again. "Koi baat nahin Dr. Bose. Bade soch main lag rahi hai aap. Sab theek toh hai na ghar pe?" he enquired with concern.

Sona immediately nodded her head vigourously and said " Haan sir. Sab theek hai. Buss thodi late hoon. Isiliye was worried ki patients bura man rahein hongey." Dr. Sinha laughed at her concern and replied" Arey don't worry Sonakshi, tumhari koi bhi patient tumsey naraaz ho hi nahin sakti. After all you are the best Nutritionist in Delhi naah. Khair jao jao. Start your day at work." Saying this Dr. Sinha patted Sona's back and went ahead for his own work.

Sonakshi speed walked the remaining way to her chamber and apologised profusely to her patients. Once she saw that they were smiling and happy, she sighed in relief and got to work. But today was a different day. Though her work routine was the same, she was happier and livelier. Every patient commented on how she was glowing and seemed happy. Sonakshi was surprised. She hadn't noticed that there was any change in her behaviour. As her last patient left, Sona sat back on her chair and closed her eyes. The moment she did that, his face came to her mind. Dev's face. Dev.

Sona opened her eyes and looked up at the ceiling. What was happening to her? What had he done to her? She had seen and met guys who looked much more handsome than him. But yet he seemed so much more attractive, confident and firm. Suddenly Sona realised that she was doing it again, getting lost in her own thoughts. She quickly snapped back to reality and jumped up from her chair. "Oho. Main bhi naah. Daadi ke liye medicine lena tha. Jaldi kar Sona, stop drifting away" she berated herself once again.

Packing her belongings, she left her chamber. After reporting to Dr. Sinha that she was leaving, she ran down the stairs to the medicine shop. Taking Dadi's prescription out of her bag she told the shopkeeper " Suresh Bhaiyya, yeh first wali medicine ke do pattey dena please." The shopkeeper squinted at the name of the medicine and then promptly looked up at Sona and said "Dr. Didi, yeh waali medicine to khatam ho gayi. Aap kahin aur se le lo." Sona rolled her eyes and looked up to the sky. "Hey bhaawaan. Aaj sab aisa kyun ho raha hai?"

Huffing and puffing angrily she approached her scooty. Mumbling disappointedly to herself she started her scooty and decided to collect the medicine from the shop ten minutes away from her house. She had to finish some reports after she reached home. She hoped she would get enough sleep. As she arrived at the medicine shop, she could see that there was a big crowd of people waiting to buy their medicine.

Sonakshi groaned internally "Yahan kharey kharey toh aadhi raat ho jayegi." As she slowly walked towards the shop thinking what she should do, she was suddenly struck with an idea. She quickly took out her phone and dialled Elena's number. "Haan Elena sun na. Abhi tu dance class se nikal rahi hai naah? Tere dance class ke paas woh medicine ki dukaan se Daadi ke liye unka medicine leti ana please. Taratari ja. Taaki medicine time par mil jayein. " When Elena agreed, Sona hung up satisfied that her work here was done.

As she turned back towards her scooty someone passing by her bumped straight into her sending her bag and her belongings flying which ultimately scattered all around them on the ground. Sona was already irritated with her absent mindedness since morning. This just made her snap. Looking at all her things on the floor she yelled at the other person "Aap dekh kar nahin chal saktey hai kya?" Saying that she looked up to glare at the person only to find those same pair of brown eyes that she saw that morning glaring right back at her!
