Today's episode was so significant that I had to make this post.
Every dialogue today was intended for two women - Neha and Sona. One born into the Dixit family and the other got married into the same family.
Ishwari to Sona: When a sister cries, a brother's heart hurts too.
Me: Oh really? Did you think, before making Sona cry every single day on and since the day of the wedding, how Saurabh or Bose family would feel?
Sona to Dev: Does everyone gets everything because they tried? Sometimes no matter how hard you try or put effort, you don't get success.
Me: Oh honey. We know. That's why we are telling you stop chasing a mirage and hold onto what you already have with you. Don't waste your efforts to belong. You will always be an outsider to Ishwari.
Dev to Sona: Sona, what Maa said was not for your effort, it was for Neha's situation.
Me: Dev, baba, man ki aankhen khol. Could you be any more blind?
Dev to Sona: We were four siblings. But Maa gave me more care, more opportunities and may be more love. She just wants Neha to get her share of love and happiness.
Me: Seriously? What exactly is stopping your mother to love all her children equally? May be opportunities were limited, so she gave them to you. But love and care are unlimited. What stopped her to divide that equally between all her children?
Neha to Ishwari: Ranveer promised that he will care for my happiness. But in that home everyone expects me to keep them happy. No one cares for my need there. Just budget, school fees for kids and his mother's medicine, these are his only priorities.
Me: Yep, ditto for Sona. Just Ishwari's mood swings, Radha's taunts and Vicky's underserved entitlement - these are only priorities of your house too, Neha.
Neha to Ishwari: I could not even breathe in that house. No one cares about me. I even had to hide my tears.
Me: Yup. What goes around, comes around. Did you think Ishwari that you will make someone else's daughter cry and your daughter will lead a happy life?
This is called Karma... And it doesn't spare anyone.
Neha to Ishwari: It seemed I lost myself in that house.
Ishwari: But this is what love is. You love Ranveer.
Neha retorts back: And Ranveer loves me. Doesn't he have any responsibility towards me?
Me: Exactly. Doesn't Dev have any responsibility towards Sona, eh Ishwari? Watch out before playing games Ishwari. Someone is watching up there. Everyone gets their due in same life.
Ishwari to Dev: While enjoying your marriage, don't forget your responsibility to your family.
Me: Of course. How dare he forget his responsibility to his family for his wife? After all next morning, his first responsibility is to ask explanation from Ranveer why he is paying more attention to the responsibilities of his family instead of his wife, right?
Ishwari to Dev: I thought you'll come down. Your sister came home from her in-laws. The matter is serious. What have you thought about Vicky's job?
Me: See? See? That's why I think she is mentally sick. If Dev can't get some sleep at night because Neha left her home. Then why does Vicky's job which he is getting without deserving it gets to be a priority?
Ishwari has two teams in her mind - Dixit family & Sona. And she has firmly put Sona in the enemy territory as if she doesn't want their happiness.
So everything she says, Ishwari takes offence to. After all she is a lifeless doll and doll should just stay put in a corner silently.
Sona if you still didn't get the memo, then I am seriously thinking that Bua Dad's superstitions have fried your brain cells.
And Dev, you have to really keep your mouth shut. Who says in front of someone who just got less position than they expected that it was your wife's idea? What would be that person's feeling towards your wife other than hate? I am surprised you have any business left to run with that kind of judgement.
