Yes it's Sona's fault that she is trying too hard to please her in-laws. She is acting like any good DIL, who is eager to be a part of the family as much as possible. But she will realize soon that it's not worth it.
I think in rasoi, what made Sona accept Eeshwari's proposal is her repeated mention of Dev's izzat. She cried today after the meal because she is trying too hard to be a part of the family and even going against her conscience just so that nobody maligns Dev. She cares about him the most. She needs to realize that they have to learn to accept her as is, just like she did with them.

I so loved the sweet romance. They have such a great chemistry. They could portray that curious mixture of innocence, desire, awkwardness and comfort, all at the same time. It reminded me of my own good old days.😛 It was so nice that I was even smiling in that dadibua scene afterwards😆

Ishu's territory shouldn't be touched.. PERIOD!!! With the new woman the tests put through Sona, made Ishu safeguarding her areas of kitchen and then the tulsi garden.. Ishu is never happy about allowing her area being conquered.. And Sona, with all her enthusiasm jumping around to get the medals conquering the arena all by herself.. 😉 And she's capable of it too..
And Ishu has the advantage of being so nice to her asking her not to bother or toil herself with all this.. It would have worked like charm had it been a girl who is waiting to enjoy the luxury of the new house without moving an inch of anything out there. Ishu would have loved that girl who lets her place be untouched.. Alas Ishu's son fell for Sona for she's not of that kind.. Then how can they expect her sit and laze around the house.. 😉

Even if Dev gets to know about this, he would only support his mom.. For on the outlook it's a nice thing.. A MIL not wanting her bahu to toil with the household - kitchen and pooja.. 😆 And Sona not having done all this shouldn't bother about it too.. Sona has a bigger battle to win.. 😆

Then Ishu gotta see Sona conquering Dev.. That's when Dev might realize the war for territory.. 😆 Will Sona realize soon enough.. And sure Dev will take his own sweet time to get there..

every daughter in law tries to bend over backwards to please their in law but eventually, they will start realizing that the in law's demands are too rigid or far stretching. however, it all becomes worth it when it is a give and take, when they appreciate you or that your husband fights the battles along with you. here, the dixits are only making demands so she can belittle sona, even dev is hot and cold. so...at the end of the day, is this all worth it?

A really beautiful take on the whole situation especially lines in Bold.

There is a catch 22 here.

Sona loves Dev wants to do everything she can to fit in..maybe tryin too hard ?

Easwari is very protective of her territories and does not want Sona to enroach? does this territory also include Dev?

Dev will agree with Easwari as to why Sona is bothering herself after all she is independent and strong according to him is this how he hopes to maintain balance?

so the clash is on the idealogies and approach- Questions

So should Sona just stay within her boundaries! Pun intended?
Then will Easwari be happy and accept her?
Is Dev just a mediator where he just wants all parties to coexist for peace to prevail?

I think its too early to judge Sona. Its been only 2 days after marriage. Both Dev and Sona have got a second chance to impress each other's family and they want to ensure their respective inlaws accept them. Atleast on face value, Ish has accepted Sona as Dev's wife.
Sona did get uncomfortable with Ish's behavior on first night and questioned Dev about it but after that Ish has been a little supportive (read manipulative) and Sona wants to earnestly try to share a good rapport with Ish which is quite a natural thing to do for any new bride. Let her try first. Offcourse few more days in the hell house and Sona wud realise that the more she tries to get involved, the more Ish wants to keep her away. We have to wait and see how Sona manages Ish once she realises Ish's insecurities. Initially Sona wud be hurt, wud question herself, doubt her abilities but soon she wud realise problem is with Ish not with her.

Agree its normal if Sona wants to put in extra efforts to fit in. I guess most of us have done it at one point or another - whether in inlaws house or new job. But Ish's constant fault finding sessions and reminders about that Sona is just Dev's zid and nothing more would make Sona realise however hard she tries, Ish wud never accept her.

I'll tell you something. when My mother got married, her brother in law(my dad's sister's husband) told her one thing, "do one thing, just the leave the kitchen to your mother" in law) which my mom was fine with because she was never interested in the kitchen anyway. so I guess most older generation are territorial in the kitchen. 🤪
Then once my mother started going into the kitchen few months after marriage, my grandma did not like it. she was known for being stingy and never fed the maids properly which prompted them to stop coming for work. My mom always gave them extra food when grandma found out, she left her oldest daughter's house for month telling my dad that your wife cares about the maids more than me. 😳

why Ishwari feeling uncomfortable about closed bedroom door a newly married couple and hearing noises... ordering the girls to make Sona sleep with them?...

In one of the earlier episode when Sonakshi comes to Dev's room to get the file and Ishwari sees this, she gets really mad at Sonakshi. Ishwari then tells her that only she has the "haq" to enter or touch things in Dev's room.

But now as Ishwari approaches Dev's room, she finds the door closed and she cannot open it like before. It is no longer only her "haq" to touch Dev's things or enter his room without knocking. It is actually Sonakshi's "haq" first then hers. It is Ishwari who needs to knock before entering.

This is very disturbing for a person like Ishwari who never thought that the door of Dev's room would be closed for her...She is not able to accept this change in such a short period of time. Hence her saying that she wants Sona to sleep in Nikki's room...
