Ishwari was such a goody-two-shoes in the wedding that I almost forgot her manipulation.

I saw the spoiler where she fainted on Dev and Sona's wedding night and thus successfully blocking any prospect of grandchildren that she was singing in monotone in every day of the wedding.

Here's what I find suspicious. Generally, when we decide to go to a party where we plan not to have food, what do we, normal people do?

1. Eat at home a generous meal before leaving including take snacks like cookies, chocolates, granola bars in our purse or leave it in the car to munch on if we feel peckish and

2. Keep arrangements at home for food so that when we come back after all rituals are over and everyone has gone to bed, we can eat our dinner.

That is if we don't want to bother anyone or make anyone feel guilty for our own decisions.

Once I attended a wedding where I didn't like the taste of the food, so I went into the washroom and ate a chocolate bar there. Then after the wedding, stopped at a McDonald's for a cheeseburger.

The bride and groom or the wedding party never knew because I didn't want to make them feel uncomfortable or ruin their special day.

But then I had no hidden agenda...

Oh god!! Ishwari back to her old antics!!!!!!

But what youve said is true. This is exactly any sane person would do if they decide not to eat at the wedding., eat at home or carry some snacks to munch on. Why did Ishwari not ask Bhola bhaiyya to prepare food., why doesnt mami ever help her in the kitchen???? why Ishwari has to slog alone in the kitchen... smh...

I was pleasantly surprised to see such an accommodating Ishwari during the wedding but I knew it won't last. What you said is true. I remember doing something similar to what you did. The food arrangements at a cousin's wedding were not to my liking so I ate something on my way back home and made sure not to do/say anything about it to them because obviously they had tried their best to make it perfect for everyone.
In the show I think Ishwari will make sure to highlight how she made a sacrifice for Dev Sona(in her usual way by expressing how a mother has to bend in front of children's stubbornness and blah blah great mother speech)and how much she suffered due to it.

As we know she'll be fainting on their wedding night and GKB being the rude and idiot person she is, will decide to happily disturb the newly wedded couple.
Now, feeling sick or dizzy is natural when somebody skips eating but especially the elder ones. But here, is the fainting a result of that or a result of unable to bear the thought of her son being more attentive/loving towards somebody other than Ishawri, that is yet to be seen.

Also as per some spoilers, its a drama staged by Ishwari which Sona realizes. True or not? We'll get to know tomorrow
But if her intentions were pure, why would she start cooking after such a hectic night? In such situations don't we prefer to munch on readily available snacks/ fruits? This reminds of her chulha drama.

.
I sense that the schemes Ishwari is capable of plotting has just begun.

Any sane person would do exactly what you mentioned... But, we all know that Ishwari survives on emotionally blackmailing people. She draws happiness by making people around her guilty... One think we should all uderstand about her is "SHE CAN NEVER DO ANYTHING WRONG"

If something is wrong, then it is all because of people around her.. in this case she will make Dev, Sona and Sona's family guility and shows herself as the victim...

She is dangerous man...

Exactly. She was making Kichu and Bhola running around at the wedding. She could have easily asked them to make some food. Not to mention even order from Haldiram's thali and saved it in the fridge for later.

She wants the world to revolve around herself and would do any thing to ensure that.
Her subconscious mind finds ways to manipulate and guilt trip people into accepting her as this God figure who's so kind , understanding , accomodating , gentle etc etc... She's inborn crafty witch , because she's not even doing most of it consciously. It's just how she functions ! It's ingrained and inborn.
She's, in a way, so much more dangerous than that crash loud mouth but at least non-pretentious Dadi bua.

You see, we have all went to places where we didn't like the food. But never created any fuss about it.

My in-laws came to India for the first time in my wedding. They have never been anywhere outside North America ever in their life, but they came just for me. After the wedding we took a trip across Rajasthan, Agra and Delhi. My mother in law does not like Indian food because she finds it too spicy. While we stayed at five star all way through so she could get other cuisines in the hotel, but in little stops for lunch, we had to stop at places which only served Indian food. So the entire trip she ate just tomato soup and French fries with chips and granola bar on the road. But she never once complained. She made sure to pack some muffins or cupcakes from the hotel so that she can have some varieties.

This is called being a truly considerate person. What Ishwari did was deliberately spiteful. But then this is not the first time she pulled her health card to punish people for going against her wishes.

She is extremely subtle in her manipulation... And that's why Dev never gets it. Also because he has blind faith blinders in his eyes when it comes to his mother.

So true ! I was going to make a post about these two things as well. Why didnt she eat/pack an apple or banana from home? Or a glass of milk would have been good too. No one told her to do a fast on her son's wedding! She knew it for atleast a week that they were going to serve non veg food in the wedding so she had plenty of time to plan for her snacks. Also, in UP, they make several pakvans during the wedding like shakkar para, laddu, namkeen etc. She could have eaten that !
My second point was about Ishwari's manipulation. It has been shown several times that she agrees to something then does a full on nautanki to ultimately get what she orginally wanted to get. For example, she first agreed for Devakshi relationship but did all the nautanki of barsati nala etc. She agreed for non veg food ( although it is a whole separate debate if they should have kept non veg or not), but then doing all this chulha drama again. I am very scared about Sona's married life because Ishwari has agreed to the marriage under pressure again and will start her nautanki soon.
