BIJOY. A proper father. How an actual father should be. I mean, I get it. None of us are used to watching someone like him on our television screens. But please, leave aside your Devakshi goggles and watch that effing gem of a man.
A friend to his daughter? A wonderful father to his kids? A great, respectful husband, who treats his wife like an equal? A dad who tells his daughter to not let any damn person make her doubt herself? A dad who goes out to fight anyone who disrespects and belittles his daughter? A dad who sees and perceives how small and narrow-minded that family is? Someone who sees how taunts and limitations are all Sona is bound to get from that family in the future? A dad who knows that even in the future when Dev may have to stand with his wife in her support, he most definitely would not because of his mom? Someone who would never treat or let anyone else treat his daughter as a lesser person with lesser hopes from life just because she is a girl? Someone who has always taught his daughter to walk tall and excel in her life by her own merit?
He is all of that and more.
Honestly, Bijoy has been the ONLY character that has made sense throughout the show. Why WOULD he not be wary of that family? Has there been ONE good sign that Sona will be treated respectfully once she goes there? Has there been ONE sign that Dev would defend her when the time comes? Has Sona's own family ever been treated respectfully by Dev's, unless it is with selfish motives? ARE YOU ALL NOT WATCHING RR AND RICKY?? Would you want your father to blindly be comfortable with the shitty family that you have decided to join? Seriously???
Please stop clutching at straws just so Devakshi makes sense, because it just doesn't anymore. A dad like that? Yeah, now THAT does.
