Great post!

I disliked Dev since the day he broke up with Sona but yesterday Sona disappointed me more than Dev. How can she be so dumb! Her mom gave her a chance to back out, still she didn't budge. What nonsense was that! And her behaviour in the engagement. So insulting! Ritwik tried to talk to her, to cheer her up but Sona didn't have the decency to atleast respond properly or pay attention? She was busy looking for Dev *slow claps*

Dev was not supposed to be devdas, right? But that's what he was trying to be (and failing miserably)

Ishwari was, is and will always be blind.

Even Devakshi flashbacks look forced to me and make cringe. Ruined a good show for god knows what reason -_-

Hope you find a serial you enjoy watching just like most of us here love KRPKAB and won't miss even a single episode...why? Because we understand why Dev, Sonakshi and Ishwari behave the way they do..no one is perfect but that does not mean we can not try to see their point of view...
No hard feelings...just my POV!

People who have different perspective regarding the characters do not dislike them. I invested my half an hour watching the show and loved it too but now its come to a point where I am disappointed with the show and how the characters are butchered.

No I am not finding any other show for the heck of it because no show is perfect. Why should we find different show? Yes Devakshi are imperfect and hence when we appreciate their goods we have the right to criticise their wrongs too.

The post was meant for good healthy discussion but some people had to label others as haters, spreading negativity. Why?

Just a fact by the way the TRP that the show gets is not limited to youngsters or love story lovers. Its a joint effort by all section of audience. We might be in the minority but we view the show as a whole package and not just for Devakshi.

We cannot see their point of view because their so called love of few months has put their relationship of years at stake.

No hard feelings from my side either. Just a viewer with different opinion on the current track.

I have been a member of this forum for a long time, and no one can stop you from a criticism of a show. If they do, ignore and continue on , bcoz that's why this forum was made, to talk pro and cons of a show you watch.

what you have written is perfectly fine and well within the rules of the forum.

I dont watch the show for Devakshi so don't care , I watch the show coz as a drama, its certainly keeps u entertained for half an hour but that doesnt' mean you can get away with whatever you show and everyone has to accept it coz it shows the lead couple in love.

they have to address the issues we have raised, how will they justify dev and sona's action saying they did it out of love. I would love if rithwik's family and sona's parents express their humiliation and displeasure on what happened with them and sona and dev apologizing to them for their actions. if they just go on without a care then its unacceptable to me.

You have a problem with others watching a romantic episode 1000 times? Seriously? That is quite judgemental.

If some people can suggest the members to ignore negative posts completely if we don't like it, we can also suggest you to ignore the show if you don't like it. As simple as that😊

I guess the show should have been highlighted as both the leads should learn to balance their relationships in their lives. Whereas we have Dev who gives a two hoots about Sona where Ishwari is cornered, Sona doesn't give a damn about her family members when it's about Dev 🥱

I can successfully say that Sona is downgraded even more than Dev today, because Dev has grown up in a difficult situation with a manipulative woman called Ishwari who taught him nothing but to love her to a fatal extent, but Sona is brought up in a beautiful friendly environment but all her upbringing gone down to drain to have her parents humiliated like this in front of 100 guests 🥱 Dev ditched a 3-months relationship for a 30-yr of relationship, Sona ditched her 26 yrs of relationships for a relation which is mere 4 months old. Very unrealistic. Now it's time for Bose family to call Sona out on her selfishness and how she has ruined herself in love. She has been dragged down to the level of Dixits to be fit into their family perfectly. 👏

But I just want to mention 2 more things from this MahaEpisode -

Asha - The MOST perfect mother one can ever have. 👏 She is SO understanding, to the point, calm and mature 😊 I loved how even today she could feel her daughter's pain and dilemma and was ready to call the engagement off if Sona wants 😳 And how she scolded Bijoy on extending the conversations with Dev. 😊A sha does not deserve to be humiliated by ANY DAMN person in this show. She is just.. Perfect ❤️

Bijoy - As delusional as Ishwari 😲 I didn't expect this from Bijoy when he was showing Asha that 'See, how happy Sona is' 😕 Was she ? This reminds me of a very famous teaching from Krishna in Mahabharata, when anger captivates your mind, you can't see things clearly enough. Bijoy needs to calm down and come out of his subtle competition he has created with Ishwari on 'who is moving on first' 🥱 Go show your attitude towards Ishwari and make her jealous I dont care even if it's not true 😆 But in your heart please know the truth and know your daughter don't be so pushy to her just for any random XYZ person (read Ishwari) 😊..

All in all, the story has gone haywire, but the lead's chemistry and specially Shaheer makes it worth a watch 😊 Earlier KRPKAB used to touch my soul with its simplicity, now I watch it as any regular show so I dont get disappointed cuz still it's lot better than many 😆

Totally agreed that sona was ruined today more than Dev. I thought Dev had improved as a person from the earlier one who ruined sona's career to get her as a doctor. But he does the same with Sona after his breakup. no growth in character

Sona was a mature girl but she has fallen along with Dev in love. And i believe if love cant make you a better person instead makes you worse then it is not love.

what she did with her family & ritiks family is shameful. It was better she dint say yes to her parents for the marriage instead of acting to marry for their happiness. that much favor she cud have done to her parents.

the whole breakup drama had been handled badly. they dint have to use the sona getting to be sum1 elses & jealousy drama to get Dev on track with his love. they could have plainly show him sad, angry , not enjoying life & sona moving ahead with her career. And yes a small leap too. Ishwari's realization could have come from the fact that her son was not happy and was a shadow of himself. i would have liked to see dev neglecting ishwari in his pain. secondly dev dint need to be the so ideal son and hide it from her that he broke up coz of her. i know he is not a perfect human so it neednt be shown that he is perfect son either.

And the people asking us to watch another drama need to know that we are not happy with the treatment of the breakup, butchering of characters. we have also invested few months in this story & we have a right to complain. we cannot be blind like sona in love of the good chemistry & handsome leads.

Also Shaheer does have his ups and downs in acting. he can be sometimes very good while sometimes off color too. for eg i thought he acted badly in the promo but was good in the maha episode.

Thank you for perfectly penning what I feel! First to blame is Dev himself! Mama too played a hand. Instead of telling dev that his mom feels insecure, he point blank tells him ishwari doesnt like Sona!

This idiot sends her away! The other idiot does not waste a moment in saying yes to Rithwik! I hate Elena too! Just a few episodes Back she was referring to Dev as jiju and teasing Sona abt him and now in an instant switches allegiance! Comes across as shallow!

Calling Dev to sagayi? Brainless Sona!

Ritwik - is he so blind along with other members of Sona's family that he can't see her glancing more towards Dev than him? He chooses to ignore?

Maybe the snippet I read that he is after Sona's money (?) is true?

I applaud your patience to be bluntly honest about the show. I agree with you 100👍🏼

I dont want to repeat the replies which is already on this thread.

I stopped watching the show on a daily basis when I realized the break up was one-sided not mutual - that instant I was put off with the show. I watch 10 episodes in one go, makes it much better to bear. I will watch episodes 5th september to 16 september in one go. Promo mein kuch, Dikhaya kuch is my tag line, with the all the replies I give.

I put likes where required I want to quote all the replies I admired but that is silly (too many replies). I am not good with words to express so much, my disappointments have been expressed very eloquently in this thread.

Just to clarify I admire DevAskhi, and Shaheer-Erica, at the same time I can see beyond them.

The ones who say why watch the show and come to the forum to crib, are actually behaving like Ishwari who cannot handle a DIFFERENT perspective other than their's. Just because Shaheer is playing the character Dev does not mean what ever Dev does is fine! Just because Sonakshi happens to be the ML's love interest does not mean she can play with Ritwik's heart. If you have a strong dislike for Ishwari's behaviour then you should also be respectful towards the forum reaction on Dev and Sonakshi's behaviour.

I see so many posts on Ishwari and Ritwik mostly negative which is pretty unfair!

Before the break up all was fine right ? There were no 2 sets of groups, its after the break up these 2 groups emerged so sharply why ???

However, I feel like someone needs to play devil's advocate here cuz there hasn't been sufficient sensible debating of all of your valid arguments amid all this name calling and finger pointing. Because I'm not emotionally invested in the characters, I guess am gonna volunteer myself to do the honors. 😳

Before I begin, a disclaimer: I have never watched this show, and I don't plan to either. But I'm drawn to stories, interesting characters, and controversial debates. So I guess that's another reason why this post was inevitable. All my knowledge of these characters comes from this thread alone, so please feel free to correct me if I've misunderstood something.

I want to focus on Sona because from what I understand, Dev n Ishwari have stayed pretty much consistent with their character graphs and hers is the one that seems contradictory.

At some point in your post, you asked why only the leads have to be portrayed as good and not the parallel leads? They can be good too. I would like to ask a similar question. Why do only Dev and Ishwari get to have weak n selfish moments? Why not Sona too? Why can't she display moments of obsession where she leaves her engagement incomplete to drop her drunk ex-lover home? To me, it is actually behavior like this that rounds out her character and justifies why she would ever fall for a man like Dev. Because she is as indulgent of him as he is of his mother.

This doesn't make her stupid. Just not very objective in love. Pretty much exactly like Dev n Ishwari.

A different woman would've made different choices. Like having the courage to tell her parents she's not ready to move on even if it hurts them. Like telling her ex-lover she wants nothing to do with him and "NO" he cannot attend her engagement because that could ruin things for her. But you see, such a woman, she would never choose Dev either. Such a catch-22 for the writers.

Does this make her a hypocrite? Maybe, but then again, so is everyone. 😛
