The only thing I can say is that my heart went out to Ritwik and his family. After how good, understanding and supporting they have been, they didn't deserve to be humiliated this way.

Sonakshi had no business inviting Dev and then openly gawking at him and Dev had no business attending if he had zero self control.

I am a Devakshi fan but hope that they had shown some other method of reunion instead of showing the leads so insensitive.

Thanks for the warning... didnt read it beyond the first two lines...
only thing i would say is -- They are not showing IDEAL Love story ... but they are just showing "A LOVE STORY"

So i would say as long as the story is written according to the characters they have defined... i am more than happy with it...

ofcourse if i was in any of the leads position, i would not have behaved any where close to what they are doing now... but then again ... i am not them and they are not me...

I would "NOT put the characters in your shoes" and judge their actions... If possible "PUT yourself in character's shoes" and watch the show...

If you still cant take it... then i would just say .. iti s a fictional show written for our entertainment ... so just sit back and enjoy the show... dont take it too personally or try to judge if it is real... "IT IS NOT REAL but REEL" ... my POV

I totally agree with your post.

The characters are not in sync with what they were in the initial episodes. Yes people change and maybe they want to show character graph but here its going in the decline.

Its a fiction but I still can't tolerate Dev's actions. Stalking, ruining someones career whom you might have not even met once in your life but just because that person is linked to your ex you ruin him, spoil someones date. What kind of person would ever do that, if they do then seriously they have issues. Its not normal at all.

Sonakshi- Love cannot make someone so blind that their families self-respect takes a backseat. Girl you lack self respect. You don't respect the relationship you are entering, you don't respect your parents feelings, you are plain stupid at this point.

Ishwari- the kind of mother we see in real life too. the controlling and over possessive type but she is unhealthy for her son. Her love is like a slow poison which will kill Dev slowly and thats what she has done to him now.

Overall the CV's need to understand what they want. I don't think they are even sure where the story is going right now. Its all over the place.

Thanks Nas for making this post. I have been following this show from its conception and loved numerous moments between Dev Sona, both family members, the story telling etc. But these past few episodes post break up have left me disappointed.

I wanted to see a mothers journey from being possessive about her son to her letting go of her obsession, coming to terms with the fact that she cannot cling to Dev forever. He need a life, family and love of his own. This journey of Ishwari started well but somewhere all this drama is unnecessarily forcing her to accept Dev and Sona's relationship.

Time and again we have been asking for a show that is path breaking. That steers away from stereotypes that are bombarded on us in every other show. I was waiting for this show to do that. Show anger, resentment... Yes... but problems solved through controlled reactions and Matured

conversations. But suddenly it took the common path of self destruction and destruction of others for the sake of personal goals.

I do not know in what sort of Love the makers believe in. It seems the writer has overdosed on a staple of Mills and Boons in which we have women falling for the arrogant act. It is utterly misleading and untrue. What is the idea of Dev's love? Is it only about showering Sona with gifts? Is her presence in his life only to listen to how his mother sacrificed for them and how they came up from poverty?

One bad patch in their relationship and he starts rioting against her! Where was his love for her when he did things against her? Dev says to Sona I am not so strong like you. But He was strong and bashful enough to do wrong things towards Sona and Ritwick! Characters have been given a lot of leeway under the name of being flawed, weak or in love. As if these are their tickets to perform villainous deeds!

You have written perfectly about Dev, Sona, Ishwari and Ritwik.

Jokes aside...unfortunately, when love is separated by other factors... and not the lovers themselves... this is what happens...

If reality vs what they showed is ur concern.. then i can tel you this happd... i also called for my engagement... with a card... in the hope of seeing him one last moment... after lot of media n all in ma life too... its mixed n bottled up emotional stride...U need strength for all this...to fight all odd factors...

Really reading thru ur post... i can only say either ur hardly an emotional person n too level headed or u just havent experienced something like this ever...coz all what u spoke are ideal but not always realistic...

Loving parents.. respecting them.. knowing that they are wrong... n sacrificing ur love...this is not a path for the weak...or spineless...

Couldnt have been a more perfect title to this thread!!

Firstly i am a firm believer that anybody who has invested in the show has a fair right to criticise it, and i may not have been a regular visitor to the forum but have made na effort to come and post whenever i was super impressed .. which was the proposal .. so me and everybody else gets the right to comment when they DONT like something .. and if the die hard fans find someone trying to SPOIL your forum and romantic bubble by negativity then try to answer logically, with examples from the show - saying plainly "our devaskhi are not perfect and if u want a [perfect love story than watch something else". Seriously? Devaskhi are not perfect is the ONLY argument i have come across. Whch love story has EVER been perfect on television, films or books? NONE. Everybody has thier flaws so i guess people need to understand that Devaskahi are not the only ones been NOT perfect. I have been a fan girl myself i can understand how glaring errors seem nothing but try to answer logically so we have a discussion instead of throwing the person with an opposite reaction out of the forum.

Secondly on the episode - RUINING OF THE CHARACTERS is the only thing i can say.

Dev Dixit is a person who grew up in extreme poverty, build up a status for his family and is now going to get drunk on his ex girl friend's engagement party? I get he is NOT perfect and he is too much in love with Sonakshi but the character needs to stay realistic, this person will outrageously risk his reputation because he is unable to control his feelings? Werent they suppose to be mature lovers? A person who took sona to all the important places of is childhood and said he loves her like a man loves a woman? and very sweetly used to end fights with, "gift lena hai k larayi karni hai?'

And Sona is another dissappoinment. I was super pissed at the office scene saying, i will come back to you if you want to marry me? Hello girl! Are u in ur senses? and also .. plaving his head on her lap .. mujh se dekha nai jata hai ye sab .. putting ur parents thru utter humiliation .. what kind of a girl are they showing her to be? She was firm to question him in the hospital k apni maa se poch k wada kiya tha kya? .. and from that onwards .. its been a downhill!

This OTT break up drama has been a major put off! The writers turned it into a complete filmy story with the Sujal grewal OTTness which is indigestable! On top of that Shaheer is a weak actor. He somehow managed the earlier simple in love sweet hardworking persona but now i feel his eyes are gonna pop out. I have no idea why CVs are ruining the show and the lead couple by giving them situations they CANNOT emote.

CVs should seriously cut down on the filminess and try to remain real and relatable to the characters they created.

Also, please no offence but ADHM titke track rendition was the WORST part of the episode. The expressions, the dancing everything was SO out of place! God ..

and on the plus point, Sona looked GORGEOUS! A typical bengali beauty! ❤️

I've mixed feeling about today's ME. Shaheer was phenomenal and editing directing dialog writing camera work and of course the acting n mutual chemistry of the leads were off the charts beautiful and beyond gorgeous. It completely gave me the feeling that I'm watching a movie and just a tv show.
Absolutely loved loved loved the camera work and back ground music . The dance sequence with Ae dil hai muskil was breath taking. I'd goosebumps watching Shaheer's expressions throught out the ME, he literally stole the show.
Several other little things I liked , how Dev completely disregarded Ishwari's wish and went to Sona's engagement. It's a slap on Ishwari's face , that can not be denied.
Also , Dev apologized to Ritz .
And also to Sona in that letter. I've a feeling Sona might get to read that letter in tomorrow's episode and also that Ishwari also might get to read that letter .
Sona disappointed me very very much . Her character is taking a downward curve definitely. I'd rather jump from a cliff happily than even think about putting my parents ( n here she has a pair of extremely protective supportive caring n loving parents and she totally takes them for granted. ) and family through the shame n humiliation in front of entire world , the way Sona did today.
Also it was extremely crash on her part how she treated Ritz before during and after the failed-engagement. If you're not interested just say it and cancel the engagement , what was the need for such a fiasco ?? ( solely for the sake of drama I guess. ) It's as if she's doing a favor on Rit by getting engaged to him.
She proved she's become Dev's fitting partner in crime, totally blind n selfish in love. NO point glorifying the collateral damage she caused in the name of epic love !
No amount of n kind of love gives her any right to take Rit n his family, n her own family for a ride.
Some how both the characters got butchered , but Sona much more than Dev. Dev at least was struggling to keep his promise, but seeing Sona again n again in Rit's arms totally drained his already poor resolve . HE was not a strong person emotionally, n he knows and admits it openly.
But Sonakshi's behavior today is unforgivable.

Tell me about Shaheer 😲 Despite knowing all his lameness, I had a lump inside my throat throughout the episode, specially during the dance sequence 💔 And Sona's beauty. ⭐️ These two can set the screen on fire 😲

I guess the show should have been highlighted as both the leads should learn to balance their relationships in their lives. Whereas we have Dev who gives a two hoots about Sona where Ishwari is cornered, Sona doesn't give a damn about her family members when it's about Dev 🥱

I can successfully say that Sona is downgraded even more than Dev today, because Dev has grown up in a difficult situation with a manipulative woman called Ishwari who taught him nothing but to love her to a fatal extent, but Sona is brought up in a beautiful friendly environment but all her upbringing gone down to drain to have her parents humiliated like this in front of 100 guests 🥱 Dev ditched a 3-months relationship for a 30-yr of relationship, Sona ditched her 26 yrs of relationships for a relation which is mere 4 months old. Very unrealistic. Now it's time for Bose family to call Sona out on her selfishness and how she has ruined herself in love. She has been dragged down to the level of Dixits to be fit into their family perfectly. 👏

But I just want to mention 2 more things from this MahaEpisode -

Asha - The MOST perfect mother one can ever have. 👏 She is SO understanding, to the point, calm and mature 😊 I loved how even today she could feel her daughter's pain and dilemma and was ready to call the engagement off if Sona wants 😳 And how she scolded Bijoy on extending the conversations with Dev. 😊A sha does not deserve to be humiliated by ANY DAMN person in this show. She is just.. Perfect ❤️

Bijoy - As delusional as Ishwari 😲 I didn't expect this from Bijoy when he was showing Asha that 'See, how happy Sona is' 😕 Was she ? This reminds me of a very famous teaching from Krishna in Mahabharata, when anger captivates your mind, you can't see things clearly enough. Bijoy needs to calm down and come out of his subtle competition he has created with Ishwari on 'who is moving on first' 🥱 Go show your attitude towards Ishwari and make her jealous I dont care even if it's not true 😆 But in your heart please know the truth and know your daughter don't be so pushy to her just for any random XYZ person (read Ishwari) 😊..

All in all, the story has gone haywire, but the lead's chemistry and specially Shaheer makes it worth a watch 😊 Earlier KRPKAB used to touch my soul with its simplicity, now I watch it as any regular show so I dont get disappointed cuz still it's lot better than many 😆

Agreed. I think Sona was lucky to have Rit who didn't breakup on knowing her past and again after the news. If he had done that sona would have been shattered. R's support gave her the confidence and in return she will ditch him , his family and her family.

BTW - I say a guy should not agree to marry a girl who is so much involved in love with her Ex. Its a simple psychological reason - she'll never be able to forget her first love and he'll always be her compromise.

With guys its different - they don't have a first love concept generally😆😆😆
