an incendiary device exploded in 3 houses. Sonakshi and Dev are no longer in the past, they are front page news. Whether or not it was the reason for his business problems, it was none of the media's business to speculate. No quote, no actual info, just one picture was interpreted.
Mr Sen has changed diametrically. He was no longer warm and cordial and super friendly. He didn't come there to hear any explanations. He was not happy that his future Bahu is on the news front page, in a scandal. The thoughts behind the decision to reevaluate the engagement is understandable but execution is not sensitive.
They should rethink this engagement. If at all , give whatever is going on with her ex, some time to blow over or fizzle out or sort itself out. Whether or not they want to stick around for it to happen is entirely up to them. They didn't sign up for this unpleasant situation.
Sonakshi didn't over react. She called Dev and told him off for putting her in this humiliating situation. it is always worse for the girl. A girl can't have a love affair and leave it without being judged. That article called her the cause of his business to go into loss. Did she deserve that !?
Ishwari should be quaking in the sari right now because this is ALL her fault. She did something selfish and it's repercussions are going out of control. Just asking and whining in a high pitched voice is not going to make it go away. She felt it when everyone was just staring at her after the tv news gossip.
What disappointed me was after yesterday, Dev actually believed what his mother did was for his own good. He was not resentful at all what She did. Not like how he tore into that incompetent reporter and his editor. That was the Dev I expected.
He was actually accepting that he should step back and let his mother's manipulations (i.e. engagement) proceed successfully. How disappointing. He truly doesnt want to fight for her at all. Not for what Sona wants, what he wants, to be together. Again their relationship was not worth fighting for.
Ritwik also gave him the benefit of the doubt. Dev behaved badly during their date but he sympathized with the man. But in his perspective he was spiralling out of control!

It was a guy telling another, to buck up and behave better. It would have been a friend doing this if Dev had any. Any one of them could have released statements to the press clearing her name and quoting Ishwari Dixit's as the cause instead.
As upset as Asha and Dadi are, there are concerned for Sonakshi. Even Dada Sourabh is angry today. Did Dev not think to apologize to the whole family? That scene where the family bowed down their heads while Mr Sen spoke stern words to Sonakshi REALLY bothered me.
When wedding talks were going, he was talking cricket with Bijoy and what other nonsense. But now he speaks directly to HER instead of Bijoy? Not done Mr... Not done.
story was left hanging... Are the media actually going to let the matter go? Sure, the reporter may write an apology but the other networks have now picked up the scent as well. Is this going to escalate further into chaos as Dev struggles to manage it all?
Will GKB be so hungry for a TV appearance that she might say something untoward? Something is going to tip Dev over the edge as he collapses at Sonakshi's engagement.
This engagement is so not going to happen.
But Dev and Sonakshi are so much further away from getting back together.
