Can I ask a question...
Have you every loved someone...really really loved someone and have had to leave that person. and that person does eveything you dont expect the person to do.

forget all that... have you ever made promises that you havent been able to keep.

clearly not...

nto just you but everyone on this forum except a few are bashing Dev's character-why? because its close to reality...we have all done what Dev and Sona are doing at some point in our life for some or the other reason.

do you know what...Both are seeking attention from the other one but they are not getting what they want.
Dev leaves Sona to save his mother's life -as a son he will do what ever is asked of him in that situation- dont we make promises with God ...or say we will leave something that we hold most precious or take up fasting or something of that sort just so that God saves the one most dear to us...we all do... so what did Dev do...broke up with a person who actually gave him life...who infused life into him...
No but because he broke up Dev is wrong...wrong in making sure his mother lives...and that she is happy... at the cost of his happiness

What is sona doing...the very same thing...making sure that her parents are happy ... even at the cost of her own happiness... but she isnt wrong...

Frankly speaking I am surpirsed at how she is dealing with the situation...Dev at least dealt with it better initially...till he came to know about Ritwick.
But not Sona...what happened to her promise...hasnt she boken all her promises...

Dev isnt acting out of charcter but Sona is...becasue its her pride that is hurt. The pride that her father has instilled in her that she is better than others...even her own brother...look at the comparision Bijoy does all the time comparing sona to saurav... and why... because she was better at studies...such hipocrasy!
Bijoy and Ishwari are the same...for Bijoy its Sona and for Ishwari its Dev.

Come one people please give Dev a break. Its very easy to critise a character when its not doing whayou expect it to do... in this case according to make its Dev...but is Sona doing justice to her character shown so far...not really...what i find most hillarious about Sona's charcter is that she knows Dev is not in the right place as he is all alone...and is worried about him...but everry time she meets him...all she does is shout at him...has she ever tried talking to Dev...it is becasue she has a huge Ego and Dev doesnt- hence Dev is ready to "make a fool of himself" (as some members of this forum say) but not Sona..her ego will not allow her to beg and plead with someone. she said to dev on the break up episode...you dont deserve my love...which is though said a lot about her character...whereas dev said sorry to her on behalf of GKB many times...and also said he wont become small if he says sorry as afterall GKB belong to his family.

it takes a big heart to take care of people ... very well knowing that they are living with you for your money and nothing else...for the material comforts...that they are the rats who will leave this sinking ship first...

we as viewers have always critised indian Tv for the saas bahu masala ...now that we have a show that is slightly different , where the promos confuse us more than ever, where we have fallen in love with the characters as they have been so beautiffully potrayed and executed by Supriyaji, Shaheer and Erica, because the wriiting is so well thought out and served to us in a most exquisite manner ...that everything has become very personal...is Supriyaji is so fondly remembered as Badi Ma from Sarural Genda Phool, her character of Ishwari is the complete opposite...she will also be remembered for that.
and same goes for Shaheer-Arjun of Mahabharat, Anant of Navya and Dev of KRPKAB...and Erica too.

SO guys trust the writters, and trust the actors playing the characters...and enjoy the show.

Like I said in my previous post ... its fine to have different opinions and different camps on the forum...but we have one thing in common is that we love KRPKAB...
SO for those who are not liking the current tract...watch the old episodes and have a good time...till the time turns...

Apologies for the long post...
No hard feelings... i hope...

I am not supporting Dev but not bashing him also...! I can avoid it by not commenting here but after today's episode it is bugging me and I am commenting every post with the same thing.
If I think Dev is right for his dewanapan then I should also accept Ishwari is right for her dewanapan! Every person is right here!!

Another question goes for Dev too. He is keeping his mother happy by breaking up the relation then why he is not letting Sonakshi to keep her parents happy? Ishwari should be happy in all way but not Sonakshi's parents? I am also not supporting Sonakshi here by the way. I am strongly against her decision to move on by marrying another person so quickly.

i think dev is stopping sonakshi coz he knows she is doing to hurt him and something he is very right also... i don't know about others but i never judged ishwari too... her character is very real and mothers like her exist in today's world and believe me or not they do same kind of manipulation...
i always had problem about she claiming that dev's happiness is her happiness and all that crap...
coz in the end one thing he loved she snatched...

i've never bashed or been against dev in a harsh way
he seems very depressed right now as he has lost the love of his life... i do feel hes not letting sonakshi move on

buts its time he stops listening to his damn mum and makes his own decisions and not let his mum interfere in his life

i honestly cant see Dev heartbroken and i cant see sonakshi with someone else other than Dev

👏👏👏, if i knew how i would applaud loudly, i totally agree with you. if people have strengths it does not mean they don't have weaknesses. Dev should have been more strong and stood up for himself. sona should have had a smaller ego and less pride, ishwari should have been less selfish and insensitive, they would have been perfect characters. but then they would be no story to tell. so i really believe perfection is overrated.
So till it gets totally and sickeningly dumb or they start introducing daayans or ghosts i'm going to keep watching and loving KRPKAB

Thanks for your comment. Yep !! I know about Ishwari types mother. It is really great to hear that you never judged Ishwari. I did. But now I am not doing it after watching Dev's behavior.

Till the question hangs there, he should keep his mother happy though he is unhappy then why should not Sonakshi be also unhappy inorder to keep her parents happy?

From what I inserstand (even tho I haven't watched the show from the start) this is Dev's character. He is a control freak and stubborn and here the matter is of Sona so ofcourse he is going to react in this manner.

He isn't wrong at heart it's just he doesn't know how to deal with situations and right now he is thinking that she is hurting herself more by marrying him and that is true. She married Ritvick she won't be happy, not this soon and neither will he. He knows her well enough to know that she won't be able to forget him that quickly.

It is true that Sona is doing this to show him that she has moved on and that is wrong and as Ellie also said that this is rebound.

Dev is only thinking that by doing all this he is stopping her from making the biggest mistake of her life,

Ritwik said it perfectly. In a solar eclipse, nature feels lost, in limbo, not sure of its direction.
He saw how lost Dev is. And how angry Sonakshi is with him. Nobody is blaming anybody i think, just expressing disappointment. Like how a good friend of yours is going through a bad phase and making things worse for himself.

Dev and Sonakshi are so angry with each other. When they eventually get back together, the relationship would have seen rough patches and can weather more hand in hand. A couple that sticks together in hard times will last longer.

I trust the writers. They built up their story very nicely, sailed it through rough seas and will handle the aftermath equally well. I am loving the story from start till now. Awesome work.

Love does not excuse hurting the person you love, but that is what we all do.

Dev is acting like a tantruming Devdas, but this isn't out of character, he's been shown as ruthless, and frankly, without conscience, when it comes to his mother and his family: he got Sona kicked out of her job, and forced her to tend to his mother instead. He threw Sona out in similar fashion, and imagines he'll keep her tied to him in an unnanmed relationship the same way.

His mother and him have an unhealthy, co-dependent sort of relationship, because of what they have gone through together, and having no experience in handling matters like love for a woman, Dev is acting like a spoilt brat.

I actually like that Sona has an ego: it is that which is driving their love story forward.

If Sona had agreed to stay in love from afar (which she might have, if Dev had been a little less cruel about shoving the breakup down her throat), they would have both grown old longing for each other, till Ishwari died.

At least with Sona's pride, they're moving forward-- he's realised what he has lost and is going for it in many (unadvisable) ways. Once old Ishwari realises what she has done to her son, things might turn around a little.

Let us see.

Dev is not acting his age, or his image, but the CVs have not set up an ideal man, but a deeply flawed one.

I just hope he becomes an example NOT to follow for men, when it comes to stalking women, and losing perspective in matters related to their mothers.
