Fair enough, Sona felt hurt. Being hurtled out of your loved one's life isn't easy but thats what Dev did and I sympathise with Sona.
Everybody reacts to an event. Ishwari did, Maamiji did, Mamaji did and so did Sona's parents and everyone else.
Its been weeks since their separation. We have seen Dev and Sona's desperation. What we see is Dev is despearte for Sona (to understand why he has done what he has done) and Sona is desperate to move on, not weigh her heart with love but just her mind with faith in her parents choice. I hope there is another side to both these characters.
I mean, I hope on the side we don't see, Dev is sorry for what he has done, laments about it and Sona is sorry for Dev, not as someone who couldn't make his decision and hurt her but as someone who she absolutely knows is true at heart but bound by the adversities and promises made to his mother/his upbringing.
Sona has broken her promise too - " I will never leave you even when you leave me".
It is all well and good to see strong female leads but an extraordinary lead would be one who combines strength with compassion, sorrow with understanding and love with absolute faith. Else, this story will turn out to prove Ishwari right - their 3 month love will be only worth barsaath mein naala and 2 minute noodle.
There are plenty of shows to show us the ugly side of failed love. Please not another!
I want to see the other side. I'd rather I see their unconditional love, come what may kind of love.
