Yes that is how I feel after watching the Episode.

After a beautiful epsiode of DevAkshi Faceoff...this epi seemed a little all over the place. Ofcourse I am not expecting them to show DevAkshi crying or fighting all the time. This epi did not do justice to the DevAkshi faceoff epi. Lacked continuity and connection.

Putting out points as they come to my mind:

1. Ishwari - We understand the CVs are trying to show that she is still in Denial mode but its kinda getting to me now. Her behaviour in the Episode and Precap, almost reminded me of those Episodes when she went crazy after getting to know of DevAkshi. I mean where veiwers almost questioned her relationship with her son. The famous line of "Ishwari is behaving as if Dev is bringing her Sautan". Never liked those episodes then and not now. It kinda leaves a dirty taste in your mouth. Understand Ishwari is trying to be portrayed as a possessive mother with a lot of insecurities but CVs should re-consider whether their attempts are slowly back firing. Aisa na ho ki makers need to give out 1 more interview from Raghuvir Shekhawat. Coz when you feel the need of an interview / article to support your storyline or to help Viewers understand why a certain character is shaping up the way it is...that shows somewhere something went wrong. So CVs please do not repeat that again.

2. Dev - Till Dev sitting in office and re-collecting Sona's words and ordering Tina that no calls be forwarded was shown beautifully and looked natural. But the way he comes running home to apologize to Ishwari that he forgot to pick her up...Oh pleaseee. Why are CVs so hesitant to show Dev getting his space. I mean as a human after having that faceoff with Sona, atleast as normal human being has the right to be cut off from the whole world and for a change just think about his own feelings or let him just react naturally. I understand that CVs wanto to show Mamaji being the person to make him realise it (just like in Break Up episode). But again why does it always have to be someone else to make Dev realize things. In the past, with Neha issues it was Sona or Ishwari and then confessing reg DevAkshi relation and realizing that Ishwari is unhappy abt DevAkshi, it was Mamaji. We know that Dev's character has been shown with a lot of flaws unlike other shows where main lead plays the hero type and may be the big realization may happen when Dev comes to know abt Ishwari doing the stuff she has behind his back. but I feel its high time where Dev atleast starts taking baby steps towards realizing things on his own. I mean this separation phase of DevAkshi is a good opportunity for that rite?

3. Sona - Though in front of Dev, Sona showed she was tough in the faceoff/fight episode. But after leaving Dev's office, I expected them to show Sona breaking down or atleast be sad that she is at a point in life where she took a hasty decision just to prove Dev wrong. Though she would know the repurcussions of it only later. But that did not happen. Felt there was no continuity today.

4. So today 2 characters - Mamaji and Rithvik, opened up about their first love. TBH I kinda found it funny that it happened in 1 episode (and back to back).
In Mamaji Dev convo, like I mentioned above, it would have been nice to see Dev realize all that they showed today without Mamaji's influence and then show Mamaji's involvement which leads to encouraging/morally supporting Dev to take correct action on those realizations. BUT not that Mamaji be the eye opener for Dev. I know it happened in the past episodes but isnt it time that changed? Are we saying that till now, all the talking and shouting that Sona did was to a wall? Why can't Sona's words during the faceoff/fight epsiode and flash back memories be the source to Dev's realization? Havent his childhood flash back memories been the source to remind him that he needs to be a loyal son and a devotee to his mother?

And in the Mamaji Dev convo, Mamaji opening up abt his 1st love felt like msg being conveyed was - "So Dev if you dont want to end up with a person like Mamiji then stand up for your love". For me it kinda did NOT fit in. CVs could have skipped that part out of the convo. Didnt see any value add of that past info being shared in today's epi. Unless Cvs are trying to say that Ishwari was part of breaking Mamaji's love story too. (lol just kidding)

5. Rithvik - Where do I even start about this character. Till now, it feels like CVs are deliberately trying to keep us confused about Rithvik to maintain the suspense factor. From the time the character was introduced, obviously most of us did not like any 3rd person coming in between DevAkshi. If you actually see, Rithvik hasnt made any move towards Sona so its actually all OK. but since we all are so in love and somewhere protective about our DevAkshi we naturally start either liking or hating a character.
CVs not defining or disclosing Rithvik's character and leaving it to viewers imagination is now getting a little boring. Initially yes it did create a hype and lot of discussion on Rithvik in the Forum atleast. But now I feel its getting boring. And to add to it his dialogue - "2 tarah ke insaan" Its getting on my nerves. And if I look at other characters like Mamiji - though a negative character her dialogue of "Garib ki beti" sometimes added humour to the situation and sometimes righly added enough fuel to the fire. But Rithvik's dialogue "2 tarak ke insaan", I think, never had its charm in the 1st place. So cannot understand the relevance of using this dialogue so many times in just 1 episode.

Was also a little surprised to see Mamta mam, tweet praising JaySoni's acting in KRPKAB along with an article about him. No offense to JaySoni, but I feel, in this show, till now he never got an opportunity to perform. It could be bcoz of the way the character has been defined. But I dont think, JaySoni got an opportunity or has made any valueadd to Rithvik's character. I mean I could imagine any other actor playing that role. This could also be due to the point or stage at which he has entered the show unlike other characters like Natasha or Neel. By now we all have connected so deeply not just with the 3 main lead characters but also their family members.
But if CVs want us to connect with Rithvik, the way we have with Natasha or Neel or even Bunty, then they need to give us more hints on his character. If they feel they have and we havent picked up on those...then plz we need stronger hints or more meat to the character. Make us laugh with the character NOT on the character. His onscreen presence has just left me feeling so neutral now.

So overall felt like a Filler Episode.

Sorry guys...this is what I felt. Some of you may agree and some may not but feel free to reply.

Echoing my sentiments exactly Latha. I wasn't able to place a finger on what irked me. Yes it was continuity. I am uncomfortable with the lack of introspection on Dev's part.
He needs to have at least have a dialogue mujhe maaf karo Sonakshi. Meine tumhare saath thik nahi kiya.
If Ishwari is in her own bubble, then Dev isn't any different. Sona told him off and in clear words. She doesn't know the guy in front of her anymore and I wondered why Dev didn't ponder over it a little more. See the kind of man he has become.

After forgetting to pick up his mom, I expected him to be in that daze. But the way he came running tu thik toh hai na .. left a bad taste in my mouth.

Jab apna hi sikka khota nikle toh kisi aur se kya kehna.

Dev totally disappointed me. Mama also needs to stop over pampering Ishwari. It is all getting OTT. She waited for an hour with Nikki . Big Deal.
The reason Ishwari is still in her bubble , these 2 men are blowing air in it. Encouraging her , fanning her insecurities.
Totally disappointed.

Dev gave away his life (so we thought, though his actions now say otherwise). I expected a sense of aloofness from Dev. Not because he wants to but he can't help it.

Well done Latha. Thanks for helping me identify.
Yes that's what irked me. The dev Ishwari Mamaji convo had no correlation to the Dev Sona confrontation. Even if Ishwari was talking , they could have shown Dev lost in Sona's words. Not listening to a word said by Ishwari. FB of Sona ... Something. That scene was totally disconnected. And the episode went spiralling out of control.

And all the effort to stop her seemed lame and in vain. If he really wanted to stop , he should have headed to her place and tried to talk face to face. Get thrown out by the family. But try and stop her. Get Sona to listen. Then Bijoy talking to Ishwari would have more impact. Dev came to their house. The impulsive Dev who would rush to Sona for every small problem would he just keep calling on the phone or will he try and meet Sona and stop her. He is not the one to think of consequences.

He should have gone. At least we would have applauded Isne kuch toh kiya.

Completely disappointed with Dev there.

Awesome post.

Amazing post

I don't feel like watching the episode.

Regarding Mamaji, I don't understand his character. He only beats around the bush. Instead of telling Dev about his flasback stories. He should have mentioned the solutiion like going to Sona and apologizing to her family, To confront with his mom about Sona. Say that he would be with him. Make attempt with his sisters to reconcile dev and Sona and sona and ishwari. No one of that all. He jst mentioned tum bechare nahi ho.

Regarding Ritwick, first of all Riteick doesn't have right to check her phone. He know Sona still loves Fev. He could have a face off with Dev and told him what do do or reconcile Devanshi relationship with the help of Elena and Saurav. I hate that dialogue do tarah ke insaan.

Wonderful analysis Lata. You dissected it perfectly.

For me, the episode fell totally flat. So flat that I didn't even think about it once it was done. Just got up and walked away. I usually discuss, talk, vent about it with Divya but for the first time, I didn't know what to talk. I couldn't even explain why I was feeling so flat. Like I was watching some other show and some other Dev.

I didn't see the broken, agitated man last night. He faded the moment this guy came running to his maa. He completely disappeared when all he did was pace in his room.

When I had watched Sona and Dev confrontation on 31st, when she issued that challenge - Ritwik mujhe aapke bahut door lejaayega... I took it as Sona provoking him. Prodding him to do something. Agar mujhe apna maanthe ho toh kuch karo. It had been impulsive. She would regret it later but at the same time have that glimmer of hope that now he will do something. He can't just let me go out of his life like that. He loves me. But last night, I didn't see that Sona.

And precap doesn't give me much hope either. Ishwari is going to ask Dev. What is he going to say? He can't say I broke off because you didn't like her. He won't say I want her back. And I don't see him saying - I am trying to forget her but I am unable to. This maa ka ladla from last night's episode won't be able to say any of the above. Which leaves things where?? Back to square one. And I am beginning to get tired of the square one position. By nature, I am not known for my patience and this impasse is getting to me now.

If I had any doubts about writing a second part to my OS, they vanished by 9.50 pm last night.

I agree with the title of the post!
CV's want to show that Sonakshi and Ishwari are equally important to Dev but land up showing that its actually Ishwari is more important than Sonakshi. Which is why we are back to square ONE in each and every episode after the break up has happened.

They show scenes (Ritwik, Bijoy etc) where they want Sonakshi and Dev to move on from their current situation but at the same time they also make it look like Sonakshi has no value.

The phase of Ishwari and Dev realization is taking too long and is too slow too. The CV's are showing the realization step by step, Dev realization that he fell in love was abrupt. Some sometimes the CV's seem to be in a hurry when we want to slow down, sometimes we want them to hurry up, but they slow down. I feel the speed has left a bitter taste.

Sorry guys...this is what I felt. Some of you may agree and some may not but feel free to reply.

@Bold - WORD. I have been saying this for quite some time now and I will say it again. I'm tired of Dev always needing someone to spoonfeed things to him. Why can't he for once realize this on his own. He needed his sisters to make him realize he loved sona, then sona for lehenga and many other things, then mamaji for all things related to Ishwari and Sona. In this also, he suffers from selective hearing. Yesterday he understood only half of what mamaji said - Dont let sona get married to someone else. Bas. What about the fact that do something for yourself.stand up for your love. I wanted him to realize that he needs to stand up for his love on his own, without anyone making him realize. But that didn't happen. Infact, even after clearly spelling it out for him he doesn't understand this. It's annoying to the highest degree. I know he's always been like this. But then, didn't he want to become a better person?
Coming to Ishwari - I really have nothing to say for her. The mom-son mutual appreciation society needs to chill out. We get it. You're obsessed with each other. Can we move on? You're right. It's backfiring for the CVs. No one is able to connect to Ishwari anymore and their scenes have got me rolling my eyes now. All the time. Zero connect.
As for R. He seemed like a sorted guy initially. But then I haven't really bothered to think much about him. His do tarah k log is quite annoying to be honest.
Overall a bang on post. After the awesome face off, they could've done better. Let's hope today's episode makes up for it :)

Good post dear. I don't know why but i too felt that y'day's episode is bit incomplete and disconnected may be because after seeing such an intense episode day before y'day none of the characters were able to carry that intensity further in y'day episode.

Very well said.
Agree with each and every point... so much so that its like we are twins. Kahi mele me bichad to nahi gaye bachpan me😉

Just to highlight:

1. Dev always needs someone else to point out the obvious. Has no functioning brain of his own.

2. Dev immediately rushing home jaise koi aag laggayiho made the entire Dev-Sona fight and the subsequent thinking pose (I won't call it introspection cause there no such thing for Dev), moot and even irrelevant.

3. A mature show requires introspection scenes. Too many words and flowery, repetitive dialogues. No subtlety.

4. Dev questioning Sonas actions and not his own that caused this whole mess.

5. Become repetitive and predictable. How many of us are willing to bet that Dev will tell the truth behind his calls to Sona in tomorrow's episode...
