Honestly, it was so beautiful & real and emotional till they resorted to drama for the break-up and making Ishhu some version of cruella that now it's an emotional disconnect... It's turned into what we all hoped its not but knew it is - a Hindi soap 😃
The saving grace is the team of very talented actors that are such a pleasure to watch...
As for the story, the same is going on in the show that comes after this one and every other show on diff channels...

They had the potential for great but they resorted to the tried n tested...
Other shows portray blatant obvious manipulation, this one resorted to the 'innocent' version but in any execution, manipulation means the same...

Yes... it's been a long time since dry episodes were telecast... Let's wait for feel good moments to keep a smile at the end of the episode... But gotta say that today Ritik brought that smile on my face... 😳And the music for them was good too...

In fact, he was the one possessive about Ishhh... but she is after all a one man woman!!!!!!!

I do agree Ritik or Ritwik (whatever his name is) was a breath of fresh air. The introduction was good, the daadi flirting - a nice touch and the hello was a welcome one. I like positive entries... The Bengal tigress will finally choose the bad boy but this good boy seems to hv a decent role to play... I smiled at the whole piece. Good family, good boy 😃 the show needed this burst of positivity...

But u need to watch the show that comes after this - EDKV. Exact same track is going on and the new guy there is also a positive happy entry... The main lead is burning with jealousy ... Sony formula I say!!!

THIS..This is my biggest issue with the show right now. Right from the time the ridiculous chula drama started, the show has become way too dramatic and run of the mill..I still watch out of habit but i cant help but feel there are a million different ways they could have gone about this. Without making Ishwari downright cruel and disturbing, without the dramatic break up, without this third angle, without this stalking and without a dramatic re-union. The initial promos were everything I looked forward to watch in the show and they have made sure to kill the subtlety and turn into into a full fledged Hindi soap😆 I get that it can still be entertaining but i guess am just cribbing over the lost opportunity😆

Intriguing Promos that drew us in even when it was clear its the same old story but something about the presentation really connected - oh yes! The subtlety & quiet strength. Very rare on Indian TV...
They moved on right till a few eps after Dev's confession...
Since then, the dramatic bug bit hard... and the story, characters, us viewers are all lost in the sudden & abrupt transition...
They seem to know how to handle the 'falling in love bit' but it's not a movie where the end credits will roll when the leads say 'I love u'... They faltered when they hit the crux of the story... Now it's repeat of any other show there is... But with much better actors...

Now that the leads will fall in love all over again, am hoping they will do this right as 'falling in love' is their comfort zone... In my mind, this is phase 2 not fully linked to phase 1 ... 😃

I was on vacation till last weekend so caught a lot of shows - none I watched from the start & neither will I hv time to continue ... But Yes, if I remove the bells & whistles, the other show on Sony is following the same trajectory. The new guy entered earlier there and brought a happy feel... Since news of the new guy here & looking at his introduction, am getting the same feel 😃
Both shows shared FL's near fatal accident, ML by her side through-out, the emotional ring trying scene, engagement announcement with new guy, ML outburst...(all this will come here)... But hv to say, this show is directed much better...
Also I shared somewhere else ... but Mamta Patnaik has another show on SP with kind of same similar premise but diff... Father of the girl opposed-scheming etc... And the ML voices what we feel about the Mother in this show... They sure read our comments here & script dialogues there 😊

Gosh! I watched too much Hindi TV while at home!!!!
Now am back to online selected viewing...

The execution is different but they all seem to play within certain tried n tested formulas...
This one I had hoped to b diff!!!!! & thank the makers for keeping it diff till they hit century... Journey forward seems deja vu ... but Shaheer & Erica are a pleasure to watch... 😊
