His words reverberated around the room and in her head.
He wants me back.
An overwhelming amount of happiness washed over her- only to be replaced with a feeling of dread within her stomach. She lifted her now tear brimmed eyes, daring to spill out as she looked up at him. His dark chocolate eyes glistened with so much hope that it made her want to forget all of the world's problems.
She knew how easy it would be crash into his arms and become his again. But a gnawing fear set in- what if the same were to happen?
"No."
One word from Sonakshi was able to turn the slight smile on Dev's face to something undecipherable, and his eyes pitch black.
"I can't trust you anymore, Mr.Dixit. You broke my heart once, I can't let you break it again."
"I love you, Sonakshi. Please trust me this time. I'll make everything perfect for us. Please just give me a chance." He bridged the distance between them, cupping her face gently.
Something suddenly changed in the atmosphere- the soft breeze accompanied with the heavy rain, was now charged. He ran his thumb along the length of her face, tracing the outline of her lips. Leaning in, he pressed his lips onto the tear that raced down her cheek.
"I love you so much" Dev whispered in such a tone that dared to melt her resolve.
"Devvv... please leave" she murmured.
"Never. " With that he placed his lips on hers, wrapping his arms around her waist.
They both gasped on initial contact, not accustomed to such proximity. Dev gave in to his desires, slowly moving his lips against hers. She remained stubborn, refusing to cave in to her burning desires.
But with a bite to her bottom lip, and as his tongue managed to enter her mouth, Sonakshi felt herself eventually caving in. Their kiss soon grew into a ravenous and passionate one, the two parched for days and thirsty for each other's love.
He couldn't help but feel victorious as she moaned his name against her lips. His hand wedged itself between the wall and her back, fumbling around for the dori of her blouse. He pulled at it impatiently, slipping his hand under the blouse to feel the smooth skin.
He broke apart from their kiss quickly and pulled the tie in her hair out, running his fingers through her soft curls. Wrapping his arms around her lower back, he lifted her so she was of equal height. Reconnecting his lips to hers, Dev carried her to her bed, where he softly dropped her in the middle. He climbed over her, as he started to rain kisses along her long, slender neck. She grabbed handfuls of his soft hair, moaning as she arched her back.
He kissed her softly on her forehead and on her nose. Sonakshi giggled as she started to tear up again.
"Arey, ab kya hua?"
"Nothing. I love you Dev. And I'm yours."
They finally found solace as they both fell asleep in each other's arms, as the heavy rain continued to pour outside.
