So, needless to say, Sonakshi was phenomenal today. And Erica was outstanding. The pain, the disbelief, the hurt, the anger...all of it reached me exactly as it needed to have. I felt horrible for Sona, but not sorry for her. Not even for a minute. She echoed my sentiments exactly when she said she feels sorry for Dev. He's the one deserving of pity. Sona deserves support and strength, and that is what she will receive.

What I am now waiting for is how Dev is really taking this. He made a decision, announced it point blank, heard her say goodbye and watched her walk out of his life. But at that point in time, his unconscious, "suffering" mother was paramount on his mind. That's who he has always been, anyway - an extreme sort of matri-bhakt. But the thing is...I don't think what he has done has actually sunk in yet. That's probably why he seems to have had it in him to pick up his phone and dial Sona's number. Some nerve he's got. Or just a strange sort of disorientation. It's already intriguing to see the contrast: Sona completely breaking down and Dev choosing to focus entirely on his mother so that no other thought can enter his mind and break him down. But how long can he deny what he's done, and what it will now do to him? The precap looks AWESOME and I really, really want to see how the writers will show Dev's perspective now. As angry as I am with him, I know he will be in pain soon. And I really want to see what he goes through.

P.S. That I love Sonakshi is something I can never say enough. But today, I loved her more being so clear in her assessment of what happened: if there is any one person responsible for the ending of this relationship, it is DEV. Not blaming his mother and actually having it in her to wish Ishwari good morning at the hospital - these are signs of some solid character. What a girl. Touchwood. šŸ‘

I have a slightly different and general point to make in this context.

In the larger context, Dev belonged to a much poorer family than Sona. He worked very hard to get his family out of poverty. Today, he is looked up to as one of the most successful business men in the country. People want to be like him, they want to be him. But God knows that he is the poorest man on the planet (even) today.

Sona's family were never extremely well to do. But they have always been happy and content with what they have. They may not have a lot of money even today, but she is still rich, rich as anything.

Begs to question, and maybe even introspect... is money everything? And if it is not (and clearly it is not), why are we all running after it and denying ourselves so many other things of greater importance?

It does not surprise me that Dev made the wrong decision today. He has made wrong choices all his life - he chose to be rich but unfortunately only financially, he tried to be the economical provider for the family when he should have been there for his sisters emotionally too, he chose to ignore all of GKB's jibes even though he knew she was wrong all the time... basically, he has always been wrong. šŸ¤”

Sona was right when she said she was a fool because she fell in love with the wrong guy. I couldn't agree more. He is a nice guy, but he is not a strong person. And one cannot do without the other I am afraid. He has to be nice, and strong to earn my respect!

Very nicely put. And I agree with most of it too. Dev is impoverished in his own way and Sona has the riches that matter most in life. And the fact that she has a support system to help her deal with what she's going through while he has nothing and no one, is just another testimony to this fact.

And yes, he is not as strong a person as Sona is, absolutely. I do feel, though, that he has had to inculcate strength of a different sort, owing to the life he has lived for his family. Not having been the emotional anchor for his sisters is also a result of his circumstances, another result of them being his never having been an emotional anchor for himself either. Instead of dealing with emotions, he's spent so much of his time suppressing them or simply avoiding them in his relentless pursuit of economic stability that right now, when his life is forcing him to feel things he has never felt before, he has no frame of reference for how to cope with them. That, I think, is is real undoing right now.

Yes..it is dev who is going to be in pain in true sense!! because the only sourceof his vent ,his sona,he himself detached her from himself! and now he doent have anyone to share his pain with!!šŸ˜’ and the realization of this pain is only as far as his mental maata's recovery!! poor guy!! he is really not in condition to feel what he has done!!
And...all the praises for sona's character!! way to go girlšŸ‘ ur family is there with u as ur support system!! she will surely get out of this much sooner!!
