How cruel is it to both Dev and Sonakshi, that within hours their relationship went from almost fixed to completely shredded? All those promises he made to Sonakshi, he promised her the moon and the stars, but couldn't give her the ground to stand on in the end.

Again, Sonakshi was right, and Dev didn't listen to her. She told him, your mom doesn't like me or us being together. She was worried that if they forced this, his mother will be so unhappy and he would turn against her. And he silenced them all.

And then it all came true.

The way he took it. Guilt is Dev's biggest weakness. His mother wields this power over him (albeit unintentionally) and he is so scared of being a disappointment to her. Truly this man has no space for a lover in his life. He should not do this to another girl. He cannot be fair to her in this weak state of mind.

He wanted to call her, to help with the medical stuff that's frightening him. And Mamaji stopped him. He said Ishwari will not like it if Sonakshi is here. She does not approve of her and your relationship. And Dev took it literally.

Was he blaming Sonakshi as the cause? How DARE he? Extreme guilt? Fear of losing Mom? He eavesdropped the mother telling Mamaji how awful she felt that she couldn't share Dev's happiness. And in a knee jerk reaction, he abruptly severed Sonakshi out from his life.

True, it was about to happen anyway. But he could have done it without the anger. As soon as she arrived he was distancing himself. (Why do people keep telling others to go home and rest!!? If their family is in the hospital and they want to stay just let them! Why this obsessive need to tell people to go home and rest. As if one could. ..)

He stops her from getting involved in his mother's case. Or even finding out anything. Kis Haq se? As her nutritionist? Okay, you're not her nutritionist anymore. Just go home. Because his mother is her mother too? No! She's nothing to you! Nothing !!

OUWWWCH! !! That was so cruel Dev!! You just tossed her out into the cold like an unwanted toy. What did Sonakshi do to deserve that? Why so much lack of respect? He behaved just like Ishwari and GKB, treated Sonakshi like she was of lower status. Like she was too lucky to have had the chance in the first place, but now that she was unwanted she must vanish without a fuss?

How is it that Natasha deserved a personal, private heart to heart talk , to break off their alliance before? But not Sonakshi?

Shame on you Dev. I know he is grieving, in shock and 100% is going to regret what he did very very soon. but I have no sympathies for you right now. Because you hurt Sonakshi VERY badly. She's not going to come back to you easily. You didn't just break her heart, you smashed it to bits and stomped on it. You punished her for a foolish thing YOUR mother did.

Amazing post.

The point you bring up about Natasha is really interesting, I had forgotten about that. He took precaution as to not hurt her feelings, but with Sona, he was so blunt and totally ignored the tears in her eyes. I didn't understand that.

That is one thing I thought , even if he was breaking up , he could have done it with sensitivity . He was rude and he was blaming her for his mom's situation when in reality it was him and his family who were at fault. I know he was an emotional wreck and was not thinking but I felt she deserved a better place in his life.

He was not blaming sonakshi but he was blaming their relationship and with comparing with Natasha, the situation is different that time and this time he was very tensed for his mother and not in good state of mind that's why he said like that but later he will realise his mistake

Thank you so much for sharing your POV dear. I agree whatever Dev did was totally uncalled for. He cannot take the decision on Sona's behalf. He needs to give her the choice a proper explaination of his action. This girl deserves respect. She has given her everything to his relationship. She has gone through hell just to make it work.

But for Natasha's case, i just want say Dev was in his senses at that time. Here the situation is extreme for him. His mother is on hospital bed. Doctor just informed him that she took medicine overdose due to stress and his mamaji made it clear the stress she was going through was about DevAlshi relationship. The doctor too informed him that she would have suffered Cardiac arrest if he didn't bring her on time. All these things were extreme for him. His mother is his God and he blame himself fo her condition. Here he was not in his senses and did the blunder.

But whatever said and done. Nothing can justify his behavior towards Sona. The girl didn't deserve this kind of treatment. I want Sona to be strong and move on leaving him and his memories behind.

Dev never considered Sona as part of his family though he was so adamant about forcing her into his family picture. Every time he has to choose between his family(including Radharani) and Sona, he always chose his family. He makes tall claims but fails to deliver. Don't know what to say! Dev is such a coward! Like you said, he doesn't treat Sona like he treated Natasha. Sona is better off without him. Though they are trying to make us empathize with Dev and Eeshwari, I am unable to feel any today.

Even after sleeping over last night's hullabulla, I'm still not in the state to assimilate things any further...

This was what I posted yesterday much before the episode aired! My take after watching the promo & what was shown in the episode as well.

I realized that Dev is not completely wrong either. Was it fear that was in his eyes as well? Was it in fear that he ended his relationship with Sona? What if Ishwari wakes up & gets to know that they're still together & she does something drastic again...That fear of his mother doing something again & that fear of losing his mother made him end things. He didn't want to wait a single second anymore. Maybe he felt that, the sooner he ends his relationship with Sona...the sooner his mother would become fine. She went through pain because of him & he wanted to end that pain. We know how much he loves his mother...So Dev being impulsive ends his relationship with Sona. Yes, he could've spoken to Sona in a calm way & bought more time to explain it to her clearly & then amicably parted ways. Knowing Sona, she would've halfheartedly agreed. But Dev isn't like that.. We know Dev is a difficult & complicated man & we can never expect him to think over something before putting it into action. He will again go through this same fear when he realizes that Sona is going far away from him for good...So we can expect him to do something drastic there as well. And Sona, poor girl... is destined to go through this pain as well.

So I was expecting Dev to stay true to his character, but then he went way over-board. Sona didn't deserve to listen to all those things that he was muttering away..."woh tumare kuch nahi hai"... "kis haq se" was like a blow below the belt. It was unfair on his part. Apart from being impulsive, he's adamant (ziddi) ..what he thinks & feels is the final decision. No one has any say after that. At that moment what he did was only right for him but did he know how much wrong he was doing to Sona. He might later on come to realize the kind of blunder that he'd committed...But the deed was done, there is no going back.He was making a complete mockery out of himself. He was telling her not to do the same things which he had once told her to do, believe & trust. He's truly not a man of his own words. Today I don't feel cheated by Dev but by the makers. I don't see any sync in the actions that took place in last night's episode to the initial promo that was aired. So am I supposed to believe that later on Sona will understand the reason behind his actions & then forgive him?? Then sorry to say, I don't want to see Sona lowering herself. I don't think this is what happens in reality. In reality a girl like Sona will move on & won't look back. But since this story is about the Dixits & Sona...If Sona moves on...Then we will have only the Dixit's to deal with which will be pure torture. Am just hoping that the makers realize that they went too extreme with the kind of dialogues that Dev was given to mutter. God knows what's in store for us Yesterday I had so much hopes from them & today it's all gone! Poof!!

Yes the behavior of Dev towards sona was wrong. But i don't understand one thing Ishwari told her brother that she is not a good mother ,that means she realised her mistakes. But how come in promo she is so happy when heard that sona is no more in Dev's life. Its so double standard.. Dev loves sona but he never stand by her.. i m just waiting to see how Dev n his mother will go through hell after this break up.

Effectively Dev cut out his own heart because it offended his other. I understand the kind of trauma he's under but he has always been like this, impulsive . Going by the promo, Sona is going to be just as drastic, because she has put up with so much, with no understanding and empathy from his side for her. It's always been about his mother and his family, never her.

He needs this life lesson I guess.. but how painful !
