Iswari happily serves the aloo paratha and looks on

Dev takes his knife and fork and cuts the paratha this way and that way, taking out all the potatoes, leaving it one side and just cut a way too tiny morsel of the flour based paratha at the edge and pops it into his mouth

Dev smiles at this mother : That was very nice.

Isawari looks at him with her mouth open: But you didn't eat anything! Just a tiny 0.5 cm piece of paratha and that too the edge only.

Dev said with a wide smile, not quite reaching his eyes : Cant eat rubbish food mum ...have to stay fit and healthy to provide for the family now as I have nothing to look forward in life

Iswari eyes grew as large as the rare species owl found only in South America Amazon jungle- But...but...honey, sweetie...

Riya cut in , - Dev can I go to office late today? I am having stomach ache...very pain you know.!

Dev smiles again : Sure you can! Just produce a sick certificate and submit to HR. I will just remind them to deduct your salary if you are unable to produce the sick leave.

Riya shocked : - But Dev...I am your sister

Dev smiled indulgently - All the more you have to be a good role model . See brother have to work hard for you guys...

Nikki asked Dev excitedly - Dev can I have more pocket money...

Dev patted her head : No problem. Show me your results and then I will think about it and while we there, lose some weight by doing some house work helping Bola Bhaiya and mum in the kitchen, now that you have chased Sona out of the house.

Neha walked in : Dev, good that you are here...I need your help. I need a fridge, a tv and deposit for the new flat. That stupid husband of mine will not take any help. Gosh I told him I have an ATM at home. You!

Dev nodded : Ok come to office later and see me

Dev : Ok gals take care and don't call me at work without any prior appointment. I am very busy making money to secure for our future...

Radha rani jumped in front of him : Dev...oh good..I want to make some dinner for you...what should I cook for you..

Dev said calmly like talking to a ten year old: Before you make my dinner, I think you should worry about your next meal. First, I left a contract on your table. Its a 2 year lease period for your stay with accommodation and food. Read it carefully and sign and return to me this evening.

RR choked.. : BUT BUT...i am your aunt

Dev smiled : Of course I know, that's why I don't want to take you for granted. I cant be supporting your for months as the maintenance fees are getting higher especially the amount of food you are consuming, is enough to feed the street outside.

RR was left standing with a mouth wide open like a hyppo!

Vicky strolled in casually and asked : Brother ...can I drive one of your cars today?

Dev : Sure, but before that I want you to vacuum the whole house, attend to the garden , wash all the cars...and no Vicky not just today but forever. I left an employment contract on your table and don't expect any fringe benefits like variable bonus or perks coz you are living , eating in my house!

And left with all the four woman and Vicky standing, gaping at the man...A hardened Dev they have never seen before!
