I am glad you felt it was true to character. I loved the Dev of the first 80 - 90 episodes and it is nice to know that the Dev in this story comes across true to that sketch..

Dev letting his lady go & hurting her this way because of his mother's emotional blackmail is not sitting well with me. I am telling myself that this is due to 'unavoidable circumstances' :) and as the break-up is initiated by Dev, his state is justified.

'Finally he drifted off to sleep after dwelling on her crying face outside the hospital, the last time he saw her. He made sure to do that each night. The pain it gave him was his penance.'

THIS then seems right and a Dev who can't help but think about his Sona and still can't get himself to go after her, seems justified.

Actually, that is what is delaying my next update. You already know my views on this topic, I have shared my friend's story with you.
