Why should Sona accept Dev later..

So as per the latest updates/spoilers/promo, Dev hastily breaks up with Sona realizing his mother doesn't like her.. Wow great going 👏 .. So it doesn't take much for Devbabu to break a girl's heart and his numerous meaningless promise and to put her into pedestrian 😕.. At later point of time, when Ishwari realizes her mistake blah blah, I'm assuming it would be Ishwari to pull the strings up again and ask Sona to come back..

Now I am really doubtful/clueless about the reasons why Sona should allow Dev back in her life ! Sorry to say, but in real world, love is not ENOUGH that keeps a relationship going.. If it is indeed a real approach (?) then as a modern, independent woman, the qualities a woman searches in a man are honesty, integrity, independence, good decision making skills, managing skills in the hour of need (either home or people or situation) etc.. Might be more, but these are very basic ones.. With surrendering to his mom, Dev proves to have NONE of these.. His honesty, integrity goes for a toss when he breaks his endless promises and proves to be a cheater..

If I am at Sona's place, I would have refused to take this man back at later point of time.. When time will come, there is a high chance he will follow the same escape mechanism.. There is no strength of this character anymore.. Who would like to choose a life-partner who takes such drastic decisions just because of some unfair demands of his mother, who would like to spend life with such a man who has absolutely NO guts to stand for his decision which he believes to be right.. Who would like to choose such life partner who can treat you like THIS in the time of any problem ?? How will Dev regain the RESPECT Sona has for him ? Love might never die whatever, how will Dev redeem himself in the eyes of Sona in future for doing this ??

I am really trying to find a SINGLE reason Sona should accept this character as her life-partner in future.. It will be really disappointing of Sona 'understands' Dev's problem and keeps on justifying this act in the name of showing 'realistic' approach.. Because nothing can justify a track of a boy taking a girl to the lala-land and making shitloads of romantic promises only to break them and the girl later for his unfair family reasons that also after becoming financially successful and at late 20's.. 😛

***********************************************

Sorry to say but this is highly disappointing.. This reminds me of a very popular story - Devdas.. Similar fickle-minded character who dumps the love of his life at the drop of hat for his family only to realize his mistake later.. The same depression he will be going through here too.. But TRUST me, there is always a Paro in Devdas - a strong independent woman who loathes such weak character in a man and goes to choose another life-partner to spend her life with.. Paro's might keep loving Dev till the end of time, but Devdas's can never have Paro once they lose them for their own weak and bad decision-makings.. This story is also very similar to many real-life examples.. I have plenty of friends who have gone through this torture just because the parents of the boy/girl doesnt approve of the other.. And trust me, once the boy/girl initiates the break-up, the LAST thing they do is to get back together ever no matter what.. No one is a tennis-ball to play with 😕 The repercussion of this story is ONLY negative .. Dev losing respect for Ishwari, Sona losing respect for Dev.. 👎🏼

Awesome analysis.. So true

It made me ponder. if i were in Sona shoes. I wouldnt accept the man who just break the relationship at a brink of a hat.

I was expecting Dev and Sona to separate on mutual consent. it would give both time to their relationship. I would have said yes in that case

What about the promises he had made on Neha wedding day. All has gone into drains.

if you remember Dev said i am a difficult man to deal with. Are you ready for this relationship? Sona says Yes. I am ready for you. if we be together, we can tackle any problem. I just want to be with you. Sona vows that she wont leave him even if he leaves her.

Sona being a strong character, would wait for him.

Take a bow! well said..

Sona should not accept Dev.. there are better men out there..

maybe it is time to show Sona being loved and getting married to a true man and Dev getting married to a hag ( sorry, unintended) chosen by his mom... and living happily ever after.. 😊😊😊.

Agree with every single word of yours.

Just for the sake of arguement what would dev have done if sona commits suicide after ishwari? Then he will leave Ishwari for Sona? So just because sona isn't cheap and fickle like ishwari she gets THIS in return? Some justice 👏

If only men realized its not about choosing between mom & wife/ gf, but choosing between right and wrong and yes your mother can be wrong!

Edit: i am still hoping they show devakshi discuss this n separate by mutual understanding instead of dev just announcing his decision to her. Makes him less of a jerk and gives me enough of a reason to still want to see them together.

Unfortunately ppl lose their head in love 😆 I really used to judge these fictional characters for lacking self respect after falling in love but after seeing a couple of my friends go cuckoo after falling in love, I realised it's not too far from reality. There is this person I know who is perfectly sensible and a lovely person to boot. Her boyfriend is a jerk and they had a break up a few months back cos he apparently lost interest in her but I know for a fact that she would run back to him even now if he shows the slightest of interest. I have reached that stage where nothing annoys me more than 'true' love or whatever else you call it cos sensible ppl go off the rails after falling in love 😆 So point of my rant. She will probably understand and eventually accept him. I have seen worse on TV. Ppl accept downright abusive guys and jerks in the name of love without as much as a redemption 😆

Just assume that ishwari is mental patient of some sort. She is really that.. She is not thibking rationally..
Dev may tell sona that they need to breakup and not see eachother as his mom is on deathbed and it will jot help her get better.

Anyone would do this for their parents...
Once the mental patient gets better .. It is her who has to fight and prove her worth to sona before sona can accept dev back..

I dont blame dev

Loved ur question and I haven't thought it through. Though I would definitely want to evaluate under which circumstances she does and which she doesn't. Will try and get back.

So true!! just wondering what would be that one thing because of which Sona will accept him?? And this scene abt world best proposal...I feel she might reject...hence will be popular 😉
Not sure what unpredictable twist that CV is going to bring upon to get Sona back to Dev's life. I dont want her to easily accept him again. Want her to take her own sweet time .

My sentiments exactly. I thought quite a bit about this, and I think the best way for them to go about getting them back together would be to spend a considerable amount of time on showing us how Dev proves to her that he has been worth the ordeal. And yes, I do not at all want her to take him back easily. It would make NO sense. I have no idea how they'll do it, though. If he really is going to break her heart the way we think he is, the writers will really have to get creative. Really.
