So as per the latest updates/spoilers/promo, Dev hastily breaks up with Sona realizing his mother doesn't like her.. Wow great going 👏 .. So it doesn't take much for Devbabu to break a girl's heart and his numerous meaningless promise and to put her into pedestrian 😕.. At later point of time, when Ishwari realizes her mistake blah blah, I'm assuming it would be Ishwari to pull the strings up again and ask Sona to come back..
Now I am really doubtful/clueless about the reasons why Sona should allow Dev back in her life ! Sorry to say, but in real world, love is not ENOUGH that keeps a relationship going.. If it is indeed a real approach (?) then as a modern, independent woman, the qualities a woman searches in a man are honesty, integrity, independence, good decision making skills, managing skills in the hour of need (either home or people or situation) etc.. Might be more, but these are very basic ones.. With surrendering to his mom, Dev proves to have NONE of these.. His honesty, integrity goes for a toss when he breaks his endless promises and proves to be a cheater..
If I am at Sona's place, I would have refused to take this man back at later point of time.. When time will come, there is a high chance he will follow the same escape mechanism.. There is no strength of this character anymore.. Who would like to choose a life-partner who takes such drastic decisions just because of some unfair demands of his mother, who would like to spend life with such a man who has absolutely NO guts to stand for his decision which he believes to be right.. Who would like to choose such life partner who can treat you like THIS in the time of any problem ?? How will Dev regain the RESPECT Sona has for him ? Love might never die whatever, how will Dev redeem himself in the eyes of Sona in future for doing this ??
I am really trying to find a SINGLE reason Sona should accept this character as her life-partner in future.. It will be really disappointing of Sona 'understands' Dev's problem and keeps on justifying this act in the name of showing 'realistic' approach.. Because nothing can justify a track of a boy taking a girl to the lala-land and making shitloads of romantic promises only to break them and the girl later for his unfair family reasons that also after becoming financially successful and at late 20's.. 😛

Sorry to say but this is highly disappointing.. This reminds me of a very popular story - Devdas.. Similar fickle-minded character who dumps the love of his life at the drop of hat for his family only to realize his mistake later.. The same depression he will be going through here too.. But TRUST me, there is always a Paro in Devdas - a strong independent woman who loathes such weak character in a man and goes to choose another life-partner to spend her life with.. Paro's might keep loving Dev till the end of time, but Devdas's can never have Paro once they lose them for their own weak and bad decision-makings.. This story is also very similar to many real-life examples.. I have plenty of friends who have gone through this torture just because the parents of the boy/girl doesnt approve of the other.. And trust me, once the boy/girl initiates the break-up, the LAST thing they do is to get back together ever no matter what.. No one is a tennis-ball to play with 😕 The repercussion of this story is ONLY negative .. Dev losing respect for Ishwari, Sona losing respect for Dev.. 👎🏼
