Without rushing him, without questioning him about anything, without saying anything it seemed like Sona's family had quietly accepted him into Sona's and their life. - I think this was much needed for Dev. This unconditional acceptance. A pleasant change. Although he would be surprised by their reactions, it once again shows their trust in their Sona. And Bijoy is a sweet dad yaar. Love him. He is doing everything he can to make Dev comfortable. I liked him when he spoke to Sona on Thursday and like him more in this OS.
Ishwari - what to say about her!! She is not bad. She is the classic example of pyaar mein andha hona. She thought even her son felt Sonakshi was intruding?? What does she think he is going to do once he marries Sona and brings her home?? Keep her locked away in a corner so that she doesn't intrude?? Why am I banging my head against that particular wall, anyway!! You and I both know moms can think all this and more!! Chalo, whatever, at least temporarily she is content that he is removing Sonakshi from the premises. Dimaag ki batti nahi jali - now he needn't come home and go out again to drop Sona every night. He can go to wherever his lady love is working, pick her up, go on long drives, dinner dates...
Asha - a typical loving mother. Something unexpected happens, her mind goes off the tangent. Reminds me of my mom actually. And Dev's ji...woh...mein... was bechara Dev babu. Hey Bijoy should've teased him some more. But that's OK. He can get that chance in part 4. 😉
Dev put himself in Ranveer's shoes and Sona's family in his. Shabaash!!
And just like that Dev babu became Dev and Sir became uncle. I had a happy smile on my face when I read that. This makes me think. Ishwari doesn't know all this, does she?? Dev meeting the parents etc. And remember him talking about Ranveer? He is part of family now. Apna hain. This guy is going to follow the same philosophy and call Sona's family as his!! Wonder how Ishwari is going to handle that. Pyaar aur bhi batjaayega in her POV.
Dev had a terrible day at work. Too many things needed his attention. The Gujral issue was not yet resolved. The new factory workers were threatening to go on a strike, the internal audits had a number of Non-Conformance issues that needed to be addressed right away.
These 3 sentences I loved. I mean personal life apni jagah and work is not going to stop while you handle the personal stuff. You showed that. He still has his usual set of tensions and schedules. But with one major difference. He knows his love is waiting for him and that makes the day better. Brighter. And the way she refuses him coffee... yaar they have already become a couple. Reminds me of his words from that SBS segment when he sees the photograph - kuch rasme hi toh baaki hain.
