I am reading few lines about sona being insecure, it's not the case,she is emotionally still very secured as she expects dev for once to let her know clearly about their relationship status in eyes of society.
She also has responsibility like family's expectations for her to get married
But here its Ishwari suddenly has avoiding her,subtly allowing dev to speak but still doesn't want to hear those words
In case of Sona as she rightly pointed out'maa mujhse dur jaa rahi hai' which is true Ishwari has become very cold which might require guts in front of her to speak
She is not direct but expects dev to be direct
She is perfect example of people who teach others what they don't preach in real life.
