Ishwari is just downright creepy

She has some crazy oedipal complex that i just cannot digest. her obsession with dev is creepy and her problem with sona is not the jealousy of a mother but of a wife. i feel like somewhere down the line she replaced dev with her husband figure in her mind. she talks about dev's childhood antics like it justifies how she reacts to anyone coming close to him. like a few epis ago she was like- it used to be like we were one being...gross. and how selfish- what'll happen to her son when shes dead? ive been following the show since day 1. id initially thought her issues with sona would be about different sects and sona not having the traditional wifely qualities...but now its just creepy!

My thoughts exactly... love your Oedipus reference 😆 What kind of desi mom refuses to marry their son off? Most of them want them to get married

If you think Ishwari is creepy, you must meet my MIL , x 2 creepier. 😆

See I can understand Ishwari 's sadnes:

1. when She is upset Dev is not sharing information about Son
2. When she is upset Dev didn't take her out for selecting saree on her birthday.
3. when She is upset when Dev didn't eat halwa referring to Sona.

Being a mother of two kids , I , Myself failed to understand when

1. When she wants Dev not to marry anyone
2. when She remembers their past - as they were "One"

Ishwari needs a life partner period.

And these day Ishwari is creepy:

Same!! But I've been feeling this creepiness from her from the 3rd episode. From the starting, her love for Dev has made me uncomfortable because it's not natural or healthy, and now it's just increasing.

She should have married some one after they got wealth then 😃😃😆

Ishwari does not remember her dead husband as much as she remembers Dev's past. We have hardly seen her talking about her husband. Yes guys many as already suggested Its time Devakshi should first think to find a suitable partner for Ishwari. Mom busy with her new husband and Devakshi can have their life peacefully. 😆

BTW Ishwari was like this from day 1 and we could see hidden wife/GF type emotions coming from her for Dev (as a son but confused feelings).

I have always felt that she is obsessed with her son. Their relationship is not like normal mom - son relationship. One of the earlier episodes , I think episode 8 Neha talks abt their relationship with GKB . Neha knows Dev and Ishwari very well. I feel in future tracks we will be able to see Neha helping Dev and Sonakshi by convincing Ishwari that what she is doing is wrong.

Haha. I have seen a lot of women like Eeshwari, who want their sons to live their whole lives according to their whims. It happens only with sons, because in our culture, girls are expected to leave parents and go live with another family after marriage at one point, whereas boys are expected to bring a wife and serve the parents. Eeshwari does love her husband and her girls. She even said once that the few years she spent with her husband were the best. But Dev is the one, who stood by her in those difficult times after her husband's death and will stay with her all her life, unless a girl comes into his life, whom he values more than her. Her husband's death made her more attached to Dev. She was a fragile woman, who lived a protected life until her husband's death and she is suddenly without any protector, so she made Dev one. There is nothing sexual here, so you cannot call it Oedipus complex.😊 It's definitely super annoying to have such a mother/ MIL.

Lolzz ive been telln the same thing to my frens...Ishwari obession n possessiveness isn normal...its beyond abmormal...worst than tat she needs some psychiatrist help..no joke im serious she needs to talk it out n tell wat she fears so that she wont be afraid of losing Dev..their problem is keeping everything to themselves which is nt helping any 1 of them...n i hope CVs stop showing this creepy ishwari for long😆
