Y did she dress up so beautifully today to go out with Dev...her in tensions doesn't seem to be good...it was nice when dev avoided her question when she asked if there was anybody in his life he wil surely tell her first na? Dev comfortably avoided it and started conversing to neha...good nose cut to ishwari👏

but i guess they tried to show a very natural side to a mother who is also a woman. Isnt it a natural thing to do...i mean Ishwari has been feeling low, though not true...she feels she is not getting the importance and attention from her son that she once received. She feels sad and neglected.

Getting dressed up and looking beautiful can cheer up anyone (irrespective of gender, age and relationship). I think that is what they were trying to show.

Also, I dont think she was fishing for compliments. I feel she wanted that Dev to recollect that he gifted her that. And since he did not, she kind of said 'haq jatake'. just to prove a point to Sona that Ishwari is and always will be the 1st important woman in Dev's life.
