Mommy dear needs to do lots of work on herself.she is mother and loves her kids but she is no doubt dangerously possessive for her son.she had seen hard life and struggled a lot to bring up her kids but not to forget her kids specially Dev and neha did support her and went out of their way to cooperate since their childhood.there are lots of problems with eldest trio of diskhit family on emotional level..and they need to do lots of work on that..Dev and neha got outsiders as their support system now as sona And ranbir who are helping and will help in future to make them see new perspective which they could never see because there was no one in their family who could make them feel and show things beyond hardship,struggle,responsobilities..etc...now the problem is with ishwari..she has most problems as a character..the first problem is that she feels if she is complete with Dev and her life is full of happiness even Dev is by her side ..then it must be same for Dev ..and unfortunately it's not and it can never be..she consider Dev as her husband on emotional level...it's dangerously obsessive symptom.second problem she is in some bubble that she understands her son most..that's biggest myth..actually on this family no one understands any body ..neha understand her mother' though and she has accepted with all her flaws because she knows she won't change..Dev has not even single clue how obsessive her mother is about him.mommy os still stuck on childhood promise that her son made that he won't get married as he felt that after marriage people distance themselves from parents..and for mommy its such a proud promise..genuinely she never want him to get married as she feels there is no need of it..but she will never say it openly..she wants Dev to say that he still remembers that promise and he will never get married and they both will live happily ever after..after all sisters get married..she is selfish no doubt...and she manipulates Dev too though indirectly..her love is not at all selfless it's more of her needs rather than Dev needs..her emotional needs she survives on.she failed as mother at many places..she could never have good relation with neha and for Nikki and riya mother figure is neha..for Dev too more than mother she is god..she is no friend to him no guide no companion in any way..sp she should come out of that bubble that her place in all these position is going way to someone else..she needs reality check that all these positions in dev's life has been always vacant and sona filled all that emptiness in one go..mommy does not understand any of her child..and Dev and neha understand her mother better than what mommy can claim...
Mommy has her son and her will be always hers..but if she feels Dev as himself will be always only his..she is absolutely wrong and moron to think like that..Dev as himself was never hers..he himself admitted that he lost himself long back..all these years he was only a son, brother, caretaker ...it's sona who found and brought back Dev as himself back from past and now Dev as Dev is only hers..he is still a son and brother ...but he is someone" soulmate and their souls have been connected long back.

Now no manipulation, emoyonal blackmailing ,possessive love of mommy can bring him back..she should be only happy with Dev as her son..that's what Dev can give her ..nothing more than that.this character is so complex that you can never imagine..it's journey of a mom who has to go through whole process where she needs to learn where to draw a line .when to give space ...how to be happy for her son even when other is reason of his happiness..she has always upper hand and advantage of being mommy in dev's case..and automatically sona too gives this advantage to her as sona is better half of Dev..so it's a complex character, painful journey and full of learning process...its a journey of a man too to learn to balance mom and wife relationship...be decisive and know what's right and wrong ..where his happiness lies in and more importantly to know that everyonIn has flaw...so does his mother ..he needs to learn where not to just give in blindly..

And when I recently read a quote I couldn't help but think only about Ishwari and her likes...
"A mother only does her children harm if she makes them the only concern of her life."
May be Dev should find some interesting hobby for Ishwari...😉😆

So true...Dev first needs to realize her mother's obsessiveness..then only he will do something ..I actually doubt he will do anything other than sulking in corner...I m expecting at least some boldness after so many sugar-coated promises..he better tries to fulfill if not actually fulfill them...sona is trapped ...Dev is trapped...only mommy will enjoy whole tamasha

Dev has given way too much of his beautiful words and pretty tall promises.😉 In Sona's Daada's words he sure is an emotional person.. 😊

Any sensible and practical person shouldn't hold him against his words when a practical situation arises.. And that doesn't make him a bad person or an untrusted man as well.. His struggle to keep his promises are evident.. Like the promise to himself to become rich so that his mother doesn't struggle for money.. His promise to Neha to support her always... And his promise to Ishwari as a kid that he will not marry at all if it means to leave her alone... He's gonna struggle through it all because he calls upon all onto himself.. Obviously that's what makes him special on-screen... He will either learn to make careful promises or directly do it in action without just saying them raising the expectations in others..👍🏼

Mommy dear is not a psychopath, the makers need to tone down the character graph of Ishwari a little bit. Then it will gradually fit in the scheme of Devakshi.
Regarding Dev, he is actually on the high point of his relationship with Sona, once he realizes that mummy ji knows too, then comes the low point. Its here that both will suffer individually including Sona.

Its when DEV says NO to Sona and since she refuses to back out, thats when Dev will rise like a phoenix and like he said earlier' main jo chahata hoon, use hasil kar le ta hoon'.☺️

Till then we need to handle ishwariji and her insecurites, hoping they are not as exaggerated as it seems to be.
