What with the forum going crazy with Dev crying his heart out a second time and how Sona was not right in taking the file from Dev's room , you put everything to rest in your own unique and sensible way. 😆. Yes, Dev keeps falling in love with Sona over and over again and I fear it will not stop 😆 in the near future. These two I tell you - feel like pinching their cheeks - cho chweet!!! Yes, they are going to face storms in the form of Neha?!! and Ishwari and perhaps the invisible (so glad) Mr. Gujral. But I guess with their deep love they can weather anything only they will put us through the wringer . What to do? As you rightly pointed out - The path of true love never runs smooth. Dev and Sona are meant to be together - it's destiny... I was re-watching some old episodes yesterday and what struck me again was how Sona 'knew' 😆 where her place was in the Dixit home when she came over - albeit grudgingly after being bulldozed by Dev to care for his mum - she went straight towards his room. 😆 . I doubled over with laughter, even Dev had a 'funny' smile on his face when he said 'wahan mera kamra hai'. Gosh! Can't help but marvel at how far he has travelled with Sona's gentle guidance and pure unadulterated love. I think I'll stop here...

P.S Yesterday we didn't see maama too right - maybe he's sneaked off maamiji on that steamer trip in Haridwar? 😆 😆

Huh? Why should Sona have not taken the file? 😕 Dev asked her to do a favor since his Mom wasn't well and she did.. Isme kya rocket science hai? And in which rule book is it written that you can only cry about something once and then you should be be done? It's his sister. Smh smh smh.

Anyway, they really are the cutest aren't they? I had a constant smile watching them today too. I have too much on my plate to manage a write-up tonight but will hopefully make a post over the weekend. Neha - Well so far so good... Very happy with how they are showing her first steps into married life. Aage aage dekhte hai... Half of these articles carry so much exaggeration though. I have stopped following them altogether now.

@Sona heading towards Dev's room the first time she came to his house: Oh wow.. Excellent observation! I remember that moment well.. his amusement and her embarrassment after giving him so much attitude.. Hilarious! 😆

And Maami is back! Though she is surprisingly subdued Aise hi rahein bas. 😆 Oh and lastly, thank you for reading and responding! 🤗

Very nice post as usual depicting all characters and scenes in swift summary.

I was observing Sona when she was confronted by Iswari..Sona didnt appear uncomfortable at all. Infact she was pretty casual about it compared to Iswari's hyper attitude.

I didnt find it odd for Dev to seek Sona's help for as you say so rightly he didnt want to inconvenience his mum who I believe is suffering from early onset of arthritis. Also , the file required some identification and Sona being the one at home only, he sought her help among other things... Of course this didnt go well with Mummy...can understand to a certain extent but her obsessive nature is beginning to piss me off slightly....I have feeling she will make a monk out of Dev pretty soon at the rate if we go by her jealousy, and insecurities. A bit extreme.

I like the way he handled the Gujarl matter. He wasnt panicky or edgy. He was calm and understanding about the whole thing and he had a strategy with him. So need to worry about it otherwise, he would not be a biz tycoon...just becos he neglected his biz for a while, the world didnt end for him and Dev proved it right with the way he handled the matter..I have a new respect for him. Cool guy😎

And the last conversation he had with Ms Bunny..I mean Ms Bose...The man knows what he wants and he brushed aside her concerns about the business failures...that she had nothing to do with it.

I didnt find it odd that Dev cried again...infact I found it very endearing and touching...One sometimes feels the sense of loss for something or someone when it is no longer there...then they miss it. And just at the point of time, as if reading her partner's state of mind, Sona called and cheered him up . She knows him so well.

Again I went to bed with a big smile...the show never ceases to surprise me. Sure it has flaws but I dont focus on small things and pick them to be a focal point to butcher Dev or Sona. Its too minor for me. The essence of the show is still there and it manages and delivers the expectation effectively.

Maham, thank you for your post. You should write everyday ! Fabulous writing , fantastic to read tinted with lots of happiness and joy.

Hello! Loveeed reading your reply! Everything you said about Dev and Sona.. Word to all of it! Ishwari making a monk out of Dev 😆 You know that bit where Sona said "Jiske liye itna kuch kiya, wohi chalegi." made me feel a little scared for Dev. If it were not for Sona, what is his life? Right now he is doing everything in the name of taking care of his family but once his sisters get married then what? What would the poor guy be left with? Nothing but loneliness. I mean is that the kind of future Ishwari envisions for Dev just as long as she gets to be the most important woman in his life? It's so disturbing. I mean I am sure Ishwari can't be THAT impractical to never get her son married but suppose that had happened? He'd be so empty and sad and lonely, withering away from within. The man would probably end up depressed. Anyway I am just so glad that will not happen... Thank God for Sona. Its a tough journey ahead of them but they will survive. :)

And thank you for your reply as well.. Like I said, loved reading it! 😃

Pardon mel for the lame lines above but ur post is really beautiful and it flows like a river... It's a tsunami of positivity amongst all the negatives we r seeing out here.
Love ur analysis dear Maham... U tug at the right strings for me... I'm V happy at seeing the emotional quotient of an ML being discussed and the base why Dev Sona are truly soul mates that complete each other... Either one will wither away without the another.
Ishwari I have no words to say... Everything is about her and she is still making everything to be about her but all in the wrong sense.
Someone tell me how shall Dev ever come to know his mom is that possessive that she can't take it if someone else touches his things. ... Eeeks!! He will never come to know as she shall never show this side of her to him unless he sees it himself!
I have truly lov D the journey shown in case of Dev sona lovelove and also how Dev has learnt to express himself... It's difficult to hold things inside and I'm glad the boy is crying out... It's good... Cry some more baby.. It's OK!!!
Needless to say that I love sona... She is a giver too just like Dev... And ur post is beautiful... There I go again. ❤️ thank u dear.

Hahahaha you are sweet! Thank you so much for liking the post! Word to everything you said about Dev and Sona. They are just perfect for each other :) Truly two halves of a whole. As for Ishwari... Ahh its very complex. And Dev's relationship with her is even more so. I don't know if there will be a big reveal about Ishwari's insecurities... I think the writers might opt for Dev slowly learning about them and piecing it all together bit by bit. They usually go the subtle way.

Today I was wondering if Ishwari will even find out that Dev loves Sona. What if she just senses that they are obviously close and share something that isn't entirely friendship and asks Dev to stay away from her or vice versa? Just knowing that his Mother disapproves of their closeness would be crushing for Dev. Several things happened today as well that gave us further insight into Dev's character.. But I'll reserve that for my next post. Might make one over the weekend.

Thank you once again for being so sweet! Big hug :)

I don't have too much to add since you covered the episode in such loving detail, but I made one observation during the episode that I thought was really interesting. Ishwari's initial reaction upon catching Sona in Dev's room, looking through his files, was not accusatory towards Sona (as GKB's would have been), but sounded much more like a warning, "What are you doing here? Dev is going to kill you if he finds out; he hates anyone touching his stuff but me." It's almost as though she took it for granted that Sona's intentions were innocent, and was much more focused on Dev's wrath in response. It reminded me of all the times she has talked Sona down when Dev misbehaved with her, making her understand why Dev reacts so strongly to certain forms of intrusion (like putting his phone on silent). That split second of trust in Sona was a really interesting prelude to what came next.

It was only when Sona told her that Dev had actually instructed her to get the file, and given her permission to do so, that Ishwari saw her as an external and intrusive entity and went on the defensive. Even though it makes perfect sense given Ishwari's insular relationship with Dev, the irony is not lost on me! Sona has certainly become part of the family, but in a very specific way: she is beloved in "baccha" status with the daughters, but becomes enemy number one the minute she tries to enter the "bade" sphere where only Dev is allowed, aside from Ishwari herself. It was fascinating to see those boundaries drawn by Ishwari's face in less than a minute!

Hello hello hello! 😃 Absolutely loved your point. Spot on! @Bold: I know! I noticed the exact same thing when Sona convinced Neha to wear the lehenga Ranveer's family had sent for her. One minute Ishwari was in tears and absolutely grateful to Sona for taking care of the matter and convincing Neha, praising her up-bringing and treating her like family but the minute Sona mentions that it was Dev who asked her to speak to Neha we see Ishwari's entire demeanor change! As you said, Sona is a part of the family but only in a very specific way. Ishwari will love her and adore her for the individual she is but when it comes to Dev, Sona's place in this house takes an entirely different meaning. And I think we are the only two people here who would find this fascinating. 😆

Amazing Analysis.

Dev was blunt with Sona.Sona gave him that confidence. That he will not be judged for what he says. When he said he did not meant to say that he fall in love at wrong time.If it was someone who does not understand Dev deeply would have got so hurt. But Sona she knows Dev deeply. She did not took it big.Because she knew.Dev did not spend much time with his sisters be it before or after falling in love with her. That guilt is eating him up.So he is venting out.

I loved how Dev made Sona understand .It was his decision to break engagement. So Sona should not feel guilty.

That I'm Yours.Falling in love with u his my Kush Nasibi. These dialogues were so beautiful.Which make DevAkshi soulmates for each other.

Sona is so mature.I am eagerly looking forward to the main track. How Sona handles the situation.

Thank you :) Word word word to all that :) And yes, waiting to see how she handles the actual troubles that lie ahead for them. She's going to make us very proud I know.
