To start with looking at Dev, Sona understood Dev is shattered and he won't show it to others. She knew he need her at this time and she was there for him. She asked her parents to go and she'll come in a while.
Here Dev was completely restless. He didn't want to get weak infront of his family and wanted to put a strong front infront of all. The best way to do that was to get busy in his work. He starts working on his laptop but couldn't concentrate.
Sona (Puts her hand on Dev's shoulder): Kya kar rahe ho aap? (She know him really well... He's broken from within, but will not show. And she wants to be by his side at this point of time.)😭
Dev: Nahi bas thoda kaam tha? Aap gayi nahi? (He's trying very hard to avoid eye contact and be strong infront of her. Not to breakdown.)😭
Sona: Main kaise jaati? Aapko meri zarurat hai. Haina? (He stops) Bahot kaam tha na? Ab achanak se sab khatam hogaya. Jiske liye itna saara kuch kiya. Wahi chali gayi. (She knew he was vulnerable. She very well know what he is feeling at present. And he need her the most. He cannot be weak infront of his family. It's only her who can comfort him. And he was just at the verge of crying.)
Dev (He stands up from the chair to pick a file from his bed): Neha ko to jaana hi tha na. Yeah... Obvious si baat hai shadi thi uski. (He was still trying to be strong. The restlessness in Dev. His guilt everything can be seen on his face. And still he was trying to maintain the composure.)
Sona (She goes to Dev and hold his arm): Dev... Main jaanti hun ki aap apni feelings share nahi karte. Apni real feelings kisike sath share nahi karenge. Lekin main islie yahan pe aayi hun. Taaki main aapko bata saku ki i am still your friend. (She makes him understand that she's very well aware he don't share his inner turmoils with anybody. He keeps it to himself. But he in past has shared his worries with her. She just reminded him, though they are in a relationship now, where she is his responsibility. But She still is his best friend.)👏
Sona starts to leave and Dev holds her hand. (Just when she's about to leave he hold her back... He can only be weak infront of her. For everybody else, he need to be strong. He starts crying.)😭
Dev: Sonakshi... I hate it... I hate it... I hate it ki Neha chali gayi. Pehle main din bhar office me rehta tha. Kabhi kabhi usse poora din usse milta bhi nahi tha. Abhi use gaye 10 minute nahi huye hai aur😭😭 (And he starts crying... Sona holds his shoulder to comfort him. She makes him sit and she sits by his side. Sona takes Dev's hand in her hands and hold it tight to comfort him. He really Miss Neha... His younger sister. He was always worried for her. Though Neha was always bitter towards him because of their troubled past. He just didn't want her to go. He was happy that his sister got the love of her life, but sad at the same time that she'll not be with them now.)
Sona: Aur?😭 (Dev cries vigorously and sits on the floor holding Sona's hand and puts his head on her lap. He holds Sona's hands tighly. Sona wanted him to sepak his heart out. This was the only way he can feel better. She was strong infront of him. Because she was his support system today.)
Dev: I miss her... I really miss her. Kyu chali gayi wo..? Kyu chali gayi? Meri Neha... Chali gayi.😭😭 (Sona caresses Dev's hair... Sona just couldn't see him cry. And was trying to calm him down.)
Sona: Its Ok Dev... Aapke mann me jo kuch bhi hai. Aap boldijiye. Agar aap mujhse nahi kahenge to mere hone ka kya fayda? 😭👏(She knew there was more to it. She knew he didn't say it all. And she made him understand that she wants to be his strength and she'll not get weak. He can talk to her. She still can't see her man crying like this and she was feeling his pain. Tears rolled down her eyes too.)
Dev: (He looks at her and wipes her tears... And puts his head again in her lap) Mujhe lagta hai ki firse bachpan ki tarah maine uske saath zyadati (Injustice) kardi. Galat kardiya uske sath. Uski Shadi thi fir bhi. Wo jaanewali thi fir bhi. Use time nahi diya. Apne aapko time diya. Hume time diya. Lekin... Neha ko time nahi diya. Maine firse use ignore kardiya. Main itna selfish kaise ho sakta hun. Kaise ho sakta hun main itna selfish.😭😭 (Though he's crying, he can't see her in tears and he wipes her tear. Both of them are the same. They cannot see the other in pain. And Dev tells her all that he feels he thinks he has spent most of the time on himself and on them rather Neha. He feels he ignored her. There was a guilt in his eyes.)
Sona: Dev. Aapne Neha se Poocha ki use abhi bhi aisa lagta hai ki aapne use ignore kiya?
Dev: Ye jaanne ke liye mujhe usse milne ya usse baat karne ki zarurat nahi hai.
Sona: Jitna main Neha ko samajh paayi hun. Main jaanti hun ki Neha bahot khush hai. Aap use Miss kar rahe ho na islie aapko aisa lagta hai ki aap uske saath nahi the. Lekin main jaanti hun. Maine dekha ki aap hamesha uske saath the. Aapne bahot kuch kiya Neha ke liye. Use bahot bahot zyada khushi di. Aapne Auntyji ke sath uske liye ladayi ki. (She makes him look at her and puts a hand on his cheek) Itna zyada pyar, itna zyada support kabhi kisi bhai ne apni behen ke liye nahi kiya hoga. Neha is so lucky ki aap uske bhai ho. Main aapse jhoot nahi bolungi. I promise. 😭😭👏(She makes him understand, he did all a brother would do for his sister and he's the best brother one can have. He did everything for Neha. He wanted the best for her and gave her the best too. He gave her the happiness she wanted. It was just because now she is not around he is feeling guilty. Or may be he is still not over their past.)
Dev: Par wo chali gayi hai. Ab main usse roz mil nahi paunga.😭😭 (He miss her a lot. Just a few minutes and he started missing his sister... Such a lovable brother Dev is.)
After a long time we get to see a restless Dev. And once again i can feel the restlessness in his body language in his expressions. Indeed an extremely emotional scene. He cried like a baby here and his Sona was there to be with him. A brother who loves his sister very dearly. The time he saw her going he just couldn't handle it. But was strong infront of the family and broken within.
Sona on the other hand was strong. She wanted to be by his side as she knew ke need her now. He won't share his feelings with anyone. But she wanted him to release his burden. She made him understand that Neha had to go. Her happiness is with Ranveer. And this is what every girl has to go through. And there's no point in blaming himself for this.
Today Sona was Dev's strength. She handled the vulnerable Dev very well. She calmed him down. Gave him the support he needed the most. She understands him more than anybody else can.👏
Here is when i remember the Vows DevAkshi has taken on the same day:
Hum hamesha ek dusre ka sath denge. ❤️
Tum har tarah se meri partner ho Sonakshi. Meri life partner. ❤️
And yes Sona was there when he needed her the most, with him. Dev ka saath dene... And they are in true sense eachother's life partner.❤️
Hats off to the makers, creatives, writers for giving us such an authentic and beautiful scene. And kudos to ShaRica for executing it with perfection. These two are just magical. When they are together onscreen, even a small scene of few seconds become special. ShaRica defines perfection.👏
I want to specially mention ShaRica here... They just define perfection. Shaheer just nailed it with his portrayal of a restless Dev... A brother who's heartbroken as his sister is married and will no longer live with them. The way he cried, there was so much sincerity that it made me cry too. He made me feel Dev's pain.👏
And Erica, she's just effortless... The strong Sona, providing the much needed support to Dev and making him understand that Neha had to go and he did what all was in his hand for her happiness... Erica just nailed it with her acting... This is why ShaRica are perfect as DevAkshi as both of them are amazing actors and compliment eachother really well.❤️
